Love Blocked Promise

Love Blocked Promise
You're Aland, right?

"Sadly, all this time, what made me never feel the affection of a mother was you, Mr. Charles." Carlos snapped with glittering eyes.

"Hey, it's not appropriate for you to do that to your Papah?" reproof Ellen.

"He's not my papah. He was the one who separated me from my parents. I am the son of Harold Murpy and Ellen Barbara Dawson." - Carlos, who made everything in that place worse.

"W-how could you possibly say such a thing Carlos? with these two hands, I raised you myself without your mother, but you can tell me I'm not your father?" charles said with a sad and panicked look.

"Why are you still trying to lie, Pah? Why don't you admit it." Carlos began to cry but still looked at Charles with eyes that demanded honesty.

Charles was silent, unable to say anything. The look on his face looked very confused. Not only was he confused, Harold, Ellen and Daven also looked confused.Indeed Ellen could not deny, since the first time she saw Carlos' face earlier, there was another feeling that slipped into her heart.

"Why are you silent? I already know everything Pah!"

"W-how did you know Carlos?" charles asked, as if confirming Carlos's words.

"Wait around! j-so he's really my son? w-how can it?" ask Ellen stammering.

"Forgot forgot, if I never decided the phone line before Papah decided first. I heard all that Papah was talking about with Uncle Gerald earlier Pah! that's why I rearranged all my plans.

Flashback.

"Okay,Pah! I wait for your presence here. Let us both witness their destruction!" Carlos smiled cynically as he put his phone on the table without disconnecting the call. Because it was his habit.

Carlos was about to leave, but the words of his papa Charles, who had forgotten to press the red button on his phone, scaled Carlos' steps.

"Hahahaha, finally my wait has not been in vain Gerald. Harold and Ellen's happiness will end in the hands of his own son. Not in vain, I kidnapped her as a baby, and replaced her with a dead baby." Charles' voice sounded happy on the other end of the phone.

"You are great Charles! you raised Carlos, gave him a decent life, but you also instilled hatred in his heart in his own family." Gerald, Steve's father replied to Charles.

"I used to be happy to see her hysterical at the funeral of the baby who wasn't her son. But, my happiness didn't last long when I realized that Harold and Ellen could still strengthen each other, and still have their first son Daven. That's why I intend to raise Carlos with the aim of avenging my suffering, to his own family.I think that's a very interesting thing." said Charles.

Carlos clenched both of his hands, and the look in his eyes was now filled with anger.

"Look, your crazy plan will never happen, Lord Charles Abraham!" murmured Carlos with a hardened jaw. Then he disconnected the call, and stepped away towards the confinement building.

Flashback off

"J-so, k-are you really my son?" Ellen approached Carlos and hugged him tightly while crying, followed by Harold, while Daven was still stuck in his place, still lacking confidence in what he had just heard.

"J-so, whose baby did we bury first?"

"That's someone's new baby was also born along with Carlos' birth. They had no cost to bury their baby, so when I offered to cooperate, they didn't, and I also threatened the doctor who helped deliver you first." Charles explained.

Charles dropped his body on his knees at the feet of Ellen and Carlos and Harold. " I'm sorry, Ellen, Harold. I've separated your son from the two of you.I'm so jealous to see you guys being happy when I'm not. Sorry about Carlos too! because you have separated you from your family, but you know, even if you are not my biological child, but I sincerely love you.Because this hand itself is the one who takes care of you and takes care of you starting from the baby.I lost Hanna who went to take our children in her womb.If they were still there, my son would have been as big as you." Charles could no longer hold back his tears. He was no longer ashamed to show that he was frail now, in the presence of everyone in the room.

Harold took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, to control his emotions. He looked at Charles with a look of pity, however, it was undeniable that he and Ellen were at the root of all the problems that occurred, even though their goals were good. It turns out that what we think is good, not necessarily good for others.

"Charles, stand!" Harold grabbed Charles by the shoulder, and helped him to stand up. Harold hugged Charles tightly. From the corner of his eyes, a speck of clear liquid was seen dripping and wetting his cheeks.

"Charles, we're sorry to you, too. We are both wrong in this. I'm also grateful, because even though you hate us, you're still taking care of and raising our son to this great extent." Harold said sincerely while patting Charles' shoulder gently.

" However we have been friends, sharing grievances, likes and sorrows. All this time we have always tried to meet you, but our efforts have always been hindered by the bull you build in your heart. Now, let's both look for the whereabouts of Hanna and your son. I'm sure they'll be fine somewhere." Harold said back.

"Carlos, don't you want to forgive Papah?" Charles looked at Carlos with a sad look.

Ellen stroked Carlos' shoulders and nodded her head, as Carlos looked at her. As a sign that Charles forgave Charles.

With trembling hands and seeping tears, Charles hugged Charles very tightly. Charles greeted Carlos embrace with a cry as well.

On the other hand, Steve, swinging his steps toward Andrew, whose gaze could not be separated from Charles. Like there was a magnet that made Andrew interested to always look at Charles.

"Alandis? you're Aland, right?" steve asked, hugging Andrew tightly.

"Where do you know that name?!" andrew exclaimed, wondering why the man knew his name first. A name he had forgotten a long time ago.The name he had not wanted to use since he was dumped in the street by his parents.
