After returning from the funeral, Arselo and Safira return to Bu Resti's house to pick Divya up.
"Assalamualaikum," Sapa Safira and Arselo, while the children had already barged into Bu Resti's house.
In there, it turns out that Mr. Bambang has come home from the rice field and is enjoying coffee with the young man who had brought drinking water for Safira and Arselo.
"You're home yet?" ask Mr. Bambang who saw their arrival.
"Already, Sir. Divya same mom where?" asked Sapphira who did not see the whereabouts of Bu Resti and his son.
"That's the mother in the backyard, who was silencing Divya who was crying." pointed Mr. Bambang towards the back of the house.
"Oh, okay. I'll catch them first." Sapphira went away from there, leaving the men who were engrossed with her chatter.
"Mom" called Safira as she looked at Bu Resti and Divya.
Bu Resti got up and gave Divya to Sapphira. "Tumben he was crying, Fir."
"Maybe because you want ASI, Mom," said Safira while sitting together on a bench on the edge of the pond.
"Mom was happy when Nak El asked you, Fir. I feel relieved to know that she is serious about you" said Bu Resti, glaring far ahead.
Safira smiled and nodded, confirming Bu Resti's words. "I'm happy too, Mom. Especially the children" Safira replied.
"Yes, I hope in the future you live happily. I'm sure if Nak El can guide you later. Even though he made a terrible mistake, as long as he repents and admits his mistake and wants to correct himself, God willing it will lead you down the right path," said Bu Resti while staring in Safira.
"Amin, hopefully, ma'am."
After seeing Divya who had fallen asleep, they went back into the house of Bu Resti.
"Fir, is Divya sleeping?" tanya Arselo who saw Divya just fell silent in the sling of Safira.
"Yes, El. It was fussy, probably because of sleepiness," replied Safira.
Arselo got up from his seat and approached Sapphira. "Here, let me carry him" Arselo said.
"No need, El. He hasn't slept well yet" Safira said.
"Alright, tell me if you're tired" Arselo said before he returned to busy with Mr. Bambang and the children.
"I will put Divya to sleep first" said Safira as she walked towards Abizar's room.
A silent atmosphere greeted him, nothing changed after the last time he entered the room. Safira immediately put Divya to sleep on the mattress that was there. When he was about to get up, he was like seeing a worn paper tucked between the frames on the nightstand.
With a slow motion for fear of disturbing Divya, Safira grabbed the paper. The color of the paper that has yellowed and has been very stiff indicates if the paper has been there for a long time.
"What paper is this?" asked Safira in surprise. He also confirmed his sitting position comfortably to open the old piece of paper.
Hi Sapphira, the woman I met on the bus :)
Ye know? You were the first woman to catch my attention. Ever since we first met, I have never once forgotten every second of our meeting,,,
Especially when you were pregnant. I'm sorry if you think I liked you so much from the time I was pregnant, but you need to remember, I really love you. From then until now and forever, it remains Sapphira who is always happy no matter what the circumstances.
Slowly Safira's eyes again felt hot, he hugged the old paper while crying small.
"Yes, Mas. I-i know. Sorry for being late to realize my own feelings," said Safira.
Arselo approached Sapphira and hugged her, he did not say a word and just kept silent, while occasionally rubbing the shoulder of the woman who would become his future wife.
After a while, Safira calmed down.
"Do you feel better?" ask Arselo who is worried about Safira.
Safira nodded and smiled slightly, "Thank you, El. Now I feel better." Sapphira answered him while rubbing her still watery eyes.
Arselo smiled and gave her a glass of water, "Drink."
"Thank you."
After Divya woke up from her sleep, they returned to the cottage where she was staying. Arselo was a little relieved, because after Safira cried now she looks more cheerful.
"El, how long are we here?" safira asked after they reached the cottage, while the children were exhausted, they immediately fell asleep once they arrived.
"As far as you are, Fir. If you still want to be here, I would be happy to accompany you," Arselo smiled as he rubbed Safira's head and ruffled her hair.
"Hey, what are you doing to my hair?" safira asked in annoyance, while Arselo himself only responded with a crisp laugh.
Safira grumbled a little because she was laughed at by Arselo, "Ish, you are!"
After Sapphira tidied her hair again, they both left the sleeping children in the room and sat in the lounge of the building.
Arselo and Safira were both speechless with their respective thoughts, an extremely awkward atmosphere encompassing the two of them. Arselo could not bear to just stand still without saying anything.
"Ehem." Arselo cleared his throat to neutralize his suddenly racing heart while sitting beside Sapphira.
Likewise with Sapphira who is no less nervous than Arselo, even occasionally he justifies the hair that continues to cover his face.
"Fir."
"El."
So nervous, they both called out simultaneously, Arselo understood and told Safira to speak first, "Ladies first."
Safira smiled, "Thank you–" said Safira paused his words, "Because you've changed for the better and been patient in facing me and the children all this time."
Arselo returned Safira's smile, "The one to thank is me, Fira. Thank you for accepting me for hurting you, I will try to be better for you all. You are the happiness that I have always dreamed of." he said as he held Safira's hand and kissed her.
"I love you so much, now and forever"
