Love In Sirens

Love In Sirens
Sudden Attack

"Slowly, what's really going on?" roni asked quietly, he did not want to make the two colleagues back in fear.

Jhonson and Daniel, who had calmed down, began to control their breathing slowly, walking and sitting in a chair where they would normally relax. All the crew members on the core deck approached them to hear the continuation of the story.

Jhonson put his hands together, "i don't know if this has anything to do with it or not."

"What do you mean?" arnold asked impatiently.

"Did you remember when you told me to call the ship bang?" Jhonson looked at Soni who was opposite him, he nodded, "that's when I went to the steering deck and called the captain to eat, but the captain told me to eat first and when I'm done I'll take his place to control the ship's steering lever while he eats.."

Everyone heard Jhonson's story carefully.

"..I told the captain because that was his order. I came down from the steering wheel through the stairs, basically I really like to glance here and there I accidentally looked towards the sea. There's a head floating there," Jhonson lowered his voice octave.

"What do you mean the head floats?" ask one of the crew members who was behind Arnold.

"I told you you're hallucinating, Jhon." Frans was the first to know about it. He was the one who called Jhonson just before lunch because he had been on the steering wheel for too long.

Jhonson looked at Frans sharply, "i saw with my eyes! I told you, but you ignored me!" his voice now sounded frustrated.

Frans scrunched his forehead, "you blame me?!" frans did not accept.

"It's not the time to blame each other."

There was a heavy sound from one of the crew members who had been silent since. The black-eyed man was named Tio and he was the vice-captain of the ship. All eyes were on Tio as all the automatic commands were in his hands.

Tio who had been sitting smoking moved from his seat to approach Jhonson and Daniel while smoking deeply. The retained smoke began to be exhaled and caulking in the air. Jhonson and Daniel swallow their saliva nervously, feeling intimidated by Tio's extremely authoritative figure.

Tio's left hand raised his sunglasses above his head, so that it was seen what was hidden behind his glasses. His right eye is no longer there, there are only marks like scratches there. Like a wild animal's claw.

He stood before the two young men. When compared, their height with Tio was vastly different. His tall strapping body almost hit the roof deck and they were only shoulder-height Tio.

Instantly shrinking their guts even deeper.

"What is the shape of the head you see? Explain to me as much detail as possible" Tio's deep voice managed to give Jhonson goosebumps. It was a very heavy and calm voice.

Jhonson swallows his saliva back, "b-good sir."

"What do you remember?" ask Tio again to the point.

Jhonson seemed to frown, thinking hard to recall the important details of his memory as he accidentally saw the head floating in the sea. The thing that bothers him so much, the terrible thing, the suspicious thing he thinks.

Come to think of it there are some things that he thinks are strange.

"His eyes were red, sharp and terrifying. I'm not sure if it's true, but the head seems to have long hair and scales around the forehead" Jhonson said in a thoughtful tone.

Tio nodded in understanding, "you're sure right?"

"Sure, sir," replied Jhonson.

Tio let out a rough breath. He seemed to already know what had really happened and who their current enemy was. Tio turned his body, staring at all the crew members on the deck one by one.

There was a strange premonition that haunted the crew as Tio watched them one by one. It's like there's a meaning to it, but they don't know what.

Tio smoked his cigarette and threw him on the floor and turned him off with the tip of the shoe he was wearing. He glanced at Jhonson and patted him on the shoulder three times.

"Listen to me!" his heavy voice began to interrupt, making anyone unable to turn away, "prepare your weapons, I wait here 10 minutes from now. After that I will give further instructions. Got it? " reason being resolute.

"Yes, sir."

Their voices echoed in the sealed room, making the eardrum slightly buzzing softly. Regardless of that, they hastened their movements to pick up the weapons in their respective rooms. Without asking further, according to the guide they learned that 'do not ask before being asked'.

Everything moves without exception including Tio, Jhonson and Daniel.

They all swiftly ran to retrieve all of their weapons that were only used in an emergency. Some carried rifles, pistols, knives, swords such as katanas and spears.

Not even 10 minutes they have reassembled in the central chamber of the core deck. Tio's eyes looked around as they counted the remaining members. There were 27 people including him, 3 people were already eliminated.

"Alright, it seems like everything is complete" Tio said as he draped his rifle. "I'll be honest with you. Our opponent is not just any opponent, you might think me crazy if I say who our opponent is right now," Tio's tone of voice was slightly deeper and higher but still heavy.

Tio turned his head towards the source of the voice, fixedly staring at the bead of Roni's eyes made it seem stiffened, "mythological creatures that you do not believe live in this world."

All eyes of disbelief began to look at Tio along with their bodies which suddenly just shivered with coldness. The air temperature in the core deck drops drastically, even though it is still day and even if the night the room temperature is not this cold.

"What do you mean, sir ?" ask Daniel timidly.

Tio let out a long sigh, "they are sea sirens. Sirens of human killers."

Their bodies pecked, their breaths choked, their brains still trying to receive impossible information that was very unreasonable. The myth of the sailors regarding the creature named 'Siren' is one of the most famous and most in-demand and believed by many sailors out there. However, not a few who do not believe the ancient myths that are passed down through generations.

Perhaps because they were too surprised, they could not say anything about this. Until suddenly there was a loud thumping sound that managed to make the lights inside the core deck blink.

Duams...

"Geez, what's that sound?!" the smallest man among them shouted in panic.

"It looks like they've started attacking us" Arnold said in a panic.

The sound of detuman managed to panic the crew who were on the core deck. That impromptu attack managed to make those who were originally calm and clear thinking start to lose control.

...****************...

Amber and Aoi begin to help Audrina search for other scout eyes that may still be left. After nearly an hour, they finally managed to exterminate the last lookout eye.

"How, Ody? It safe?" aoi asked Audrina who was still looking at the last room, the library.

Audrina looked at all corners of the room, looking at every corner with focus so that no point was missed. It seemed to be safe since there was nothing suspicious on Audrina's radar anymore.

Audrina blinked her eyes slowly, "it seems to be safe, Aoi. I don't see any sign of them anymore."

"Thank God," Amber's relieved voice finally sounded.

Aoi cradles Audrina's body and takes her out of the library, followed by Amber who follows them from behind. They returned to the blue space where the moving picture book was.

This time they could safely and freely read Wilona's book without having to fear being spied on.

Aoi looked at Amber who was sitting on the marble stone at the end of the table. Like knowing what Amber had in mind, Aoi began to rumble through the knitting bag that was behind her long hair.

He slowly took out Wilona's book and placed it on the table, next to the moving picture book.

"Well, if Wilona's compare book is more beautiful than this moving picture book," Audrina praised in amazement as the two books stood before her.

Amber chuckled softly, "the book's name is not a moving picture book, Audrina." Resist Amber.

"So?"

"Cruz, we call it Cruz's book. Every book in this valley has their own name," explained Amber followed by a sweet smile featuring a cheek line like a cat, very adorable for the age of Amber.

Although she was old, she still looked very beautiful and young. Sometimes Audrina forgot her age of hundreds of years.

Aoi stared at the books, "can we read them now?" aoi asked impatiently.

"Wait around! Before that, hey Amber. Can this fang of mine be hidden?" ask Audrina curious.

The longer he gets uncomfortable with his fangs that start to hit his lower lip. Sometimes it can make him accidentally bite his lower lip if he is not careful when talking.

Amber pushed her tail slowly. She held Audrina's chin and saw her fangs growing naturally, like little sirens that were just teething. Amber's amused laughter began to sound along with Audrina's astonished face.

"See this."

Slowly, Amber's webbed hands rubbed the top of Wilona's book. There was a soft, soothing clattering sound from the book. What a beautiful voice.

Along with that clattering sound, Wilona's open cover opened itself and displayed the beginning page of the book.

They have now opened Wilona's book. Time to study the book.
