Chapter 75 They Are Falling in Love.

This morning after breakfast and the children have left for their respective destinations, father and mother sit on the back porch continuing their conversation about Imah and Zack's relationship they finished discussing last night.

" Did Zack's father never mean to get married? " ask mom as they sit together on the back porch.

Today the father does not go to the office because there is no important work, Andika who goes to the office replaces her father.

She is studying to focus on working for her father's company.

" no. I don't think it's like that. According to the father in the end Zack will marry Imah. A lot of other guys like Zack, they just need a little longer to decide to go home. " Dad told his opinion to mom.

" Not everyone is submissive, like everyone else. Zack is like a wild horse, we have to be patient with people like Zack. Don't worry about Zack's attitude." Said father again

" It was precisely that that made Mother anxious that Zac would go to the moon with Ema and Miah was so infatuated with him. I'm sure Imah will obey what Zack wants. I don't want them to make a tent next to the runway of an airport where they live" said the anxious mother.

" I don't think it's that bad. We can give them a home if necessary" said the father trying to calm the mother's anxiety.

" It's not her house that you're worried about, but who will live in it and who won't live there" she said.

" Zack will get to that stage" a word that tries to convince the mother of what she believes.

" Yes, I hope you're alive and can see that" said the mother with sadness.

I tried to calm my mother down by kissing the top of her head.

" Mom's not too old, my dear, not at all" said the gentle father.

Lately mothers often feel sad and depressed because they are nearing their fifties.

I want to see Mima married and happy at this time. But it doesn't seem right to talk about it because Zack is running his errands.

Mom and Dad were busy with their thoughts.

I always try not to be too burdened with Imah and Zack relationship problems because I am afraid that it will affect the health of the mother.

At that time Imah was not unhappy except about the fact that Zack was far away, Zack who was carrying out his duties in the conflict area.

Her mother did not feel that her future was secure. Zack is like a wild bird, and his soul is free.

Mother is not as sure as father that Zack could be expected to marry their daughter, but at least they have tried to do their best for their daughter.

Zack conveys his conversation with his father to Imah and Imah is upset by what Zack has to say.

Imah feels that her parents are trying to force Zack to marry her and Imah does not want that.

Imah only wants Zack if Zack wants him and Zack wants to marry him.

" Why did my father do that?

it seems like I tried to force you to marry me, " said Imah, feeling bad for Zack because her father had forced Zack.

Zack tries to understand what the parents want even though it makes him less comfortable.

Zack has never felt compelled to explain himself that way, about what he wants, where he is going and what his plans are.

" They don't mean to be ugly, Mom, they just want what's best for you and maybe for me too. Actually I feel very flattered. They didn't tell me to get out of their house or say I wasn't worthy of their beloved daughter. Actually they just did that. They want to know if I intend to stay with you and if I really love you. And as you know I told your father that I do love you, we only need to think about the continuation later if I'm back from duty. Only God knows where I'll be at that moment."

Zack says at length and tries to give her an understanding of what Imah's parents want of her.

But Imah also felt unhappy with what was delivered by Zack.

Zack is always flown by the wind to the most attractive airstrips, but Imah does not want to question it to him. Her father had done enough this afternoon, and Imah felt really upset at her father even though Zack himself looked calm.

Imah was glad Zack did not take issue with it and did not consider it important to talk with his father. And Imah knows whatever Zack has said that doesn't match his parents' expectations will be his next thought but now he doesn't have time to worry about it.

The time they are passing now feels so much fun. Every day she went to college and after that Zack came to see her.

They spend hours talking and walking under trees and discussing life and all the things that are important to them.

Zack mostly tells about his airplanes, but there are also other things, people, places, and things he wants to do.

Facing danger every day makes life even more precious for Zack, they spend a very relaxed afternoon holding hands and have agreed not to go through the day without togetherness.

The more the day the greater the challenges and temptations for them, but their attitude remains admirable.

Zack did not want to leave Imah to become a widow if she died in the line of duty and Zack also did not want to leave Imah pregnant.

And if one day they get married he wants it to happen because they choose to do it not because they are forced to. Imah agrees though a part of her almost wishes that if something happens to Zack she still has her baby as a memory that Zack left on her.

But now they can only trust the future, no promises, no certainties, only hopes and dreams and they spend the rest of the time together, everything else they don't know at all.

If Zack finally has to leave, they are already falling in love and already know each other deeply as if they each become a perfect complement to their partners and fit each other very smoothly.

They are different but they are very compatible, until Imah believes they have been born to pair up and Zack does not refuse.

Zack sometimes still feels awkward, shy, reserved once in a while immersed in his own thoughts.

I understand that very well.

For Imah all the little habits and temperament Zack feels so sweet.

Time passed and the togetherness of Zack and Imah had to end.

Now Zack has to leave, this time Zack's eyes are in tears and when Imah kisses him and says he loves Zack, he loves him, Zack promised to send a letter to Imah as soon as possible when he arrived at his destination.

That was the only promise Zack made to Ema before he left and that was enough for Ema.
