96. It's Not Easy

...96. It’s Not Easy...

Danang

Success persuaded Kirei, bringing himself now waiting in front of the operating room. It had been 30 minutes since his wife had entered. There was no sign of the door opening. Anxiety is clearly brewing. He lowered. Narrowing the base of his nose.

Mother and Ken who were also sitting in the waiting room fell silent. Drifting in each other's mind.

“Mas, eat first.” Aksa said that he just came from the office directly to the hospital. With a white plastic bag that says ‘Sambi Roso’ he placed in the waiting chair beside Ken.

“Tante and Ken also have lunch first.” Connect Aksa.

“Still, Sa.” Sahut Bunda, “preferably Mas Danang eat first. Let Mother and Aksa guard here.”

“Ken ... eat first. From this morning you have not eaten.” Persuade mother. Ken had to go to the office first thing in the morning. Finish work. It was just around noon that they left for Semarang. Ken's stomach hasn't filled at all.

Ken got up from sitting down. The snatching of tentengan Aksa brought. So did he who was standing against the wall of the operating room. They walked down the hospital. Then stop at the park.

Ken handed her a box of rice.

“Cant,” said. Then sit on a park bench made of iron.

Ken was also sipping himself beside him.

“So that first examination time she already had a cyst?” Ken asked as he opened the rice box.

“Yes,” he feeds rice into his mouth.

“Why weren't we told?”

“Kirei who requested.” Legally.

“Ck, are we like everyone else?!”

“Horms,” grunts Ken.

“From childhood he always tries not to burden others.”

“Basic! Feel independent but actually spoiled.”

“Sometimes sloppy,” sneer Ken.

Momentary pause.

Ken's eyes glazed over while chewing the food that entered his mouth slowly.

“Life is not easy after father's departure.”

“It’s not easy to be her (not easy to be dia—Kirei).”

He nodded. Keep an empty rice box next to it. Take mineral water after.

“But one that never recedes.”

“His desire to be like a father. Until this moment. Even though he took the offer of the presenter, the host or whatever it was called. He is still a true journalist. Stay accepting to be desk editor on the online portal TVS.”

He nodded again. Agree.

Even Kirei sometimes became a freelance journalist. With honorarium that can be said .. ah, not comparable to the energy spent. What more compared to the wealth he has. But he enjoys. Never to complain. Her soul is there (his soul is there—journalist).

One night he finds Kirei asleep at his desk. The laptop is still on. There's some veranda history there. But what intrigued him was some emails sent. For some press companies. Come to think of people undergoing several jobs at once to meet the needs of life. But an exception for Kirei. He lived it with pleasure. Not just about the material.

They finally returned to the operating waiting room. It's been almost an hour. But there was no sign of the door opening.

“Mas, tomorrow Mama Sama Papa comes.” Said Aksa who was standing next to him.

“You told?”

“They deserve to know, Mas.”

He sighed.

The next second the noise of the operation room door was opened. They who were there approached.

“How, Doc?” Ask the surgeon and the team handling his wife to appear from behind the door.

“Alhamdulillah .. the operation went smoothly,” said the doctor, while reviewing a smile. “Patients will be brought to the transition room first. Waiting until stable and conscious. Newly will be moved to the treatment room.” Sneakily.

Relief immediately ambushed him. Aksa patted her shoulder.

Mom, Ken, and Aksa are waiting in the treatment room. He accompanied Kirei in the transition room.

There had been no movement from Kirei at all. He held his wife's cold hand. Swiping slowly.

After last night they slept hugging each other. Mutually strengthen. Give each other comfort. The next morning Kirei decided to, “I want surgery, Mas. I want ...”

He stared at his wife's dark brown eye bead “You sure?”

Kirei nodded.

He immediately grabbed Kirei. Plied his wife's head with a kiss.

“Thank you,” he said on the sidelines of the kiss.

The next second sounds, “Hoook .. hooeek ....” Kirei was already half conscious and wanted to vomit. His condition is still weak.

He quickly snatched the stenlis container to accommodate Kirei's vomit. His wife looks pale.

“You're not pa-pa?” Ask with a tone of worry.

“Mual, Yes. I want you ... hooeek .. hooeeek.”

He immediately pressed the button to call the guard there.

Not long after a nurse arrived. He immediately helped tilt Kirei's body to spit it out in the container the nurse was holding. Only water came out.

“This is a reaction from an anesthetic drug, sir. Still reasonable.” Nurse sahut. Continue by checking the infusion and oxygen hose. “Wait really patient aware yes, sir. We just moved it to the treatment room.” Get that nurse.

Mother

It has been almost 2 hours after the operation Kirei has not been taken to the treatment room. Worrying? Sure.

“Please rest first, Nda. Let me wait.” Ken Say. Aksa is back in the office.

“Mother not pa-pa, Ken.”

Ken clucked, “Mother should also take care of the condition. Can't be sapped.”

He put his body on the long sofa. Ken sits on a single sofa.

The sound of the wheel of a hospital bed being pushed echoed and stopped right in front of the door. He rose up soon. Anxiety suddenly evaporated when he saw his favorite child had realized.

“Bundaa ...” The sound of a spoiled whimper sounded softly. He approached Kirei. Grasping his son's hand and rubbing it slowly.

“We excuse you, Sir.” Said one of the nurses. After making sure all installed is appropriate.

“Still,” Reply Danang.

“Bunda .. when to come?” Tukas Kirei was still in a weak voice. His face still looks pale.

“So right you enter the operating room.”

“Where now?” Ask.

“Sick. Stomach, Rei hurts.”

Danang immediately approached, “You want me to call the doctor?”

Kirei shook his head slowly.

“That's an anesthetic reaction that's gone. It won't hurt soon. Origin of taking medicine.” Her speech.

Ken also stood next to the mother who sat down to say, “Abis this can not eat anymore carelessly!”

Looks still weak Kirei replied, “I .. want to eat meatballs.”

Ken clucked, then hissed. “Newly remembered. Ngeyel. Wanna heal!” Salak Ken is upset.

“Ken ...” Selamat mediate.

“Bby, healthy meatball origin.” Its effects.

“What is a healthy meatball?” Kirei asked in confusion.

“Iiiish, pretend not to know! Who doesn't use micin. No use of saos. No ketchup. No use of vinegar. Cabe too. While do not eat a spicy. Fresh meat without fat. Noodles without preservatives.” Omel Ken is like a train with many carriages.

Kirei frowned, “You guys don't use a bowl!”

Suddenly, the VIP treatment room echoed as a result of their laughter. Except for Kirei who grimaced with pain.

Kirei

In the evening, friends from TVS came to see him. There is Budi, Anisa, Oka and Pak Rahmat.

“Yess! Welcome back.” Chirps Oka.

“Rest first, Rei. Don't be forced.” Sahut Pak Rahmat.

“Yes, new corlip. When do we celebrate?” Anisa.

With consideration and discussion with Danang. He accepted the offer to be a corlip in place of Aldi.

“Unexpected, used to be coworkers now tops.” Cibir Budi, “but loe the best, Rei.” He held out his 2 thumbs.

Mother and Ken have returned home. Only Danang is waiting for him tonight.

“You what?” Danang asked who saw him moving unsettled.

“I want to go to the bathroom, Mas.”

“Wait here,” Danang turn off infusion flow rate by sliding roller clamp. Then put it on his lap.

“Mas, I can walk.” Sergeants.

Without her, the man took her to the bathroom.

“Kalo already called again, I wait outside.” Order Danang by closing the door.

He was put back in the hospital bed. Danang reattached the infusion bottle to the iron hanger. Set the roller clamp for the liquid to flow.

“Mas Danang rest, from this morning keep watch, Rei keep.”

“Cape.” certainty

The man shook his head, “Not how.”

“You should bed rest total. Do not lift heavy weights. If you need help saying. If there's no me, there's Yumah with Darmo.”

“Or want Mbok Sumi too? Let's call tomorrow to home.”

He shook. “Not need.”

“Tomorrow Mama with Papa comes.”

“Rei, not good to be ngrepotin. It's all right. Ud better.” Akunya.

“They want to look at her ex-boyfriend. His daughter.” Danang rubbed his cheek gently.

“Still, Mas. Thanks ....” He smiled at the smile.

“It should. But, sorry tomorrow can not be full company. Tomorrow there is important work can not be left.”

“Iya ... it's okay.”

Mama

She and her husband took a morning flight to Semarang. Straight to the hospital.

Greeting as he pushed the door, he found Kirei being fed by Danang.

“Mama,” greet Danang and Kirei almost simultaneously.

“Where? Did you do it?” Ask approached Kirei's bed. While papa sat on the sofa accompanied by Danang.

“Sini let Mama continue nyuapin,” bargain after seeing Kirei was forced to eat alone since his arrival.

“No need, Ma. Rei, can be alone.” Kirei Tampik.

“Sini, let mama come here also have a use.” He grabbed the plate in Kirei's lap. “Mama same Papa here besides kangen you guys. Also want to see this Mama's daughter healthy.” Pulling a spoon into Kirei's mouth that opens, “nah, so .. eat a lot so that it heals.”

Kirei's eyes glazed, “Still, Ma.”

That morning, they got out of the hospital together. After being observed by Dr. Yoiku post-surgery. Kirei's condition is stable. He was well and allowed to go home.

“OK. Everything's peachy.  Another week of control. After being completely healed, he recovered. Normal menstrual cycle, just got pregnant.” Yoiku is friendly.

“About how long, Doc?” Ask Kirei.

“Depends on a person's body condition and hormones. There are 2 months, 3 months even more.” Tukas Yoiku's.

“Still, Doc.” Reply Kirei.

“Sama-sama, Bu.” Yoiku then left the room.

Arriving at their home, Nani, Ken and Yumah, Darmo and Rendra are greeted.

“How are you, Ma'am, Mas?” Sapa Nani's. He and Nani hugged.

“Aalhamdulillah's. We are good.” They parsed hugs, “how are you, Nan equals Ken?”

“Good, Ma'am. Thank God.” Answer Nani.

Danang said Kirei was sitting on the sofa in the living room.

“Want to sit here?” Ask Danang. Kirei nodded.

“I live directly, yes?” Pamit Danang's. Kissing a glimpse of Kirei's head with a bow.

“Ma, Mother .. titip Kirei.” Danang Pinta.

“No need to ask, Nang. Mama and your mother must take care.” Stringency.

“Ken also announced, Aunt, Om.” Ken came up from the couch, “there's a job that can't be left. While Mommy is still here.”

“Ati-ati, Ken.” His message.

In the afternoon he and Nani sat on the porch. Accompany a cup of honey tea and a warm pancake.

“Nan,” said, “how are you doing? Smoothly?”

“Alhamdulillah, Ma'am.”

“Thank God .. I thought I'd never see you again.” He sighed. “God scenario is so good.”

“Even match our children. I really didn't expect it, Nan.”

“The cue of the little girl Danang met in the park turned out to be little Kirei,”

“Funny.” He chuckles.

Nani smiled thinly.

“After your unannounced move, we actually lost.”

Nani.

He sighed again, “It feels like just yesterday. Time passes so quickly.”

Nani gave him a quick glance, then his gaze looked straight at Darmo who was watering the plants.

“We know. It's not easy for you and the kids after ... Demas no,” he exhales slowly and heavily. “I can feel it, Nan.”

Somehow Anita made Nani recall all those memories. Nani's tears welled up in her eyes. Tight chest.

“Om Tarman want to meet you, Nan.”

Nani looked up at him, the clear liquid was shed instantly.

“I just want to convey that. Message from Om Tarman who is now being treated at Singapore Hospital.”

“Sorry, if it makes you sad.”

“Makes you have to remember that event again.”

Nani shook her head and wiped the corner of her eyes.

“Easy .. sure.” Mumbled.

“It's not easy being you. Become Kirei and Ken after that.”

The clear liquid was back to wet Nani's cheeks.

“Sorry ...” Her great-grandson shrank the corner of her eye.

Nani shook her head again, “All has passed, Ma'am. Let us feel. We experienced it. We have already mengikhlaskan.” With a smile of surprise.
