Loving Husband Interlude

Loving Husband Interlude
34. Azam Reveals Again

No one knows that Arsyil's father died, Najwa who accompanied Arsyil at his father's house was also sad. She also helped neighbors prepare food for mourners and also taught at her in-laws' house.

Many were curious about Najwa, but they did not dare to ask Najwa directly. Najwa was just silent, he accompanied the mourners and also the mosque teenagers who were teaching in front of the body of Mr. Marwan.

"Dec, are you sleepy?" ask Arsyil.

"Neither bang." replied Najwa.

"If you are sleepy, just sleep. Don't force me to stay up. Let the brothers accompany them here." said Arsyil again.

"But I really don't sleep" Najwa said.

"Yes, later if sleepy directly sleep yes."

"Yes." Yeah."

Arsyil accompanied the mourners and also the mosque teenagers who were teaching and also joined Arsyil. Arsyil's mind was sad and worried.

Worried about the time that was near and also he would really live alone after tomorrow he returned Najwa to his old house.

The night was getting late, the atmosphere felt lonely. A single heart of Arsyil is currently losing the person he respects and cares for. A little bit of his heart when he remembered the time that was soon to come.

Arsyil was still silent in front of his father's coffin, his eyes were already sleepy. But his heart could not be invited to work together to sleep, until dawn before Arsyil was ready for dawn prayers and also prepared all for the burial of his father.

Mr. Sanip has also come after the completion of congregational prayers at the mosque. He saw Arsyil still sitting in front of the coffin of Mr. Marwan, sitting down with incredible sleepiness.

Mr. Sanip wants to wake Arsyil up, but it doesn't feel right. He knew Arsyil had only been a few minutes or hours of sleep.

"Did Arsyil just go to bed?" ask Mr. Sanip to the teenager next to Arsyil.

"Yes sir, bang Arsyil just fell asleep. But pity his sleep while sitting so." said the teenager.

"Leave it first, half an hour later if you don't wake up. Yeah wake up, it's five o'clock" said Mr. Sanip.

"Good sir Sanip."

Mr. Sanip also sat in front of the coffin containing the body of Mr. Marwan. He did not expect that friends when chatting when finished praying in the mosque should go home first than him. Even though he was five years older than Mr. Marwan.

Suddenly Arsyil woke up, he was like shocked by the circumstances around him. He stared long at the coffin in front of him, at first he had not been conscious. But then he took a deep breath, turning towards Mr. Sanip.

"Sir Sanip, what time is it in his grave?" ask Arsyil.

"As for Arsyil, everything is ready. Just waiting for readiness and sincerity nak Arsyil alone." replied Mr. Sanip.

"Seven o'clock, sir, I want to give the same news ...."

Arsyil's words stopped, he forgot that his father's neighbors did not know that he and Najwa were husband and wife.

"But fast is better, isn't Sanip?"

"Yes, seven o'clock it's to bury a corpse. So then just get ready, son Arsyil, and who was in it?"

"Najwa sir."

"Oh yeah."

Arsyil smiled faintly, he was saying goodbye to dawn prayers before many people who came to accompany the departure of Mr. Marwan last time.

The burial was done, Arsyil has returned to his father's house. Many neighbors also gave him condolences and also gave spirit to Arsyil.

Najwa was silent, he did not dare to come out after what he had heard last night about his gossip Arsyil.

Najwa approached her husband, at ten in the morning. Arsyil has told Nadia that she cannot go to the printing press because she is grieving.

After being quiet, Najwa approached her husband who was sitting to clean up the leftovers in the room.

"Don't eat yuk?" bring Najwa.

"Before deck, you take care of this first" said Arsyil.

Najwa helped her husband clean up the leftovers he had not eaten. He then took her to the back at Arsyil's tail with the plate as well.

"Later in the afternoon we'll go back to the deck" said Arsyil.

"Don't you want to be here first?" ask Najwa.

"Later after everything is done." replied Arsyil.

Najwa scrunched her forehead, she did not understand what her husband said. But he just kept quiet, wanted to find out for himself what Arsyil said.

They eat in silence, Arsyil eats only a few mouthfuls. Then she finished her meal, and Najwa understood that her husband was not being kind.

"Abang went to Mr. Sanip's house first deck" said Arsyil.

"Yes bang."

Arsyil went out, he took his phone which had been ringing but he made it silent so as not to disturb his grieving self.

He saw some calls from Azam. Arsyil took a deep breath, again he was sad. But then he went to step into the house of Mr. Sanip which is not far from his father's house.

The phone shook again, Arsyil picked it up and answered the phone from Azam.

"Assalamualaikum, huh?"

"Halo Syil, Wa Alaikum Salam. How you doing?" ask Azam.

"I'm good. Najwa is also good." replied Arsyil who knew what Azam meant by calling him.

"Oh yes, Syil. Thank goodness, you are good and Najwa is too. You remember everything, right?"

"Yes, tomorrow I will return Najwa to Abah's house. Don't worry, Zam." said Arsyil in a heavy tone.

"I'm sorry Shil, I have to keep asking. Frankly I still love Najwa the most, he's the one I love the most. You should know it's Shil" Azam said.

"I know, Zam. I know." said Arsyil withstanding the tightness in his chest.

Their chatter came to a halt, quietly diving into each other's hearts. Azam with his longing for Najwa, while Arsyil feeling heavy and sad and deep love for Najwa suddenly had to separate.

"Zam, yes, yes. I want to go to the neighbor's house for a minute" Arsyil said.

"Yes Syil, I'm sorry."

"Yes, it doesn't matter Zam."

"Assalamualaik."

"Wa Alaikum salam."

Arsyil hangs up his phone, he turns instead to Mr. Sanip's house. But he went somewhere, his heart really hurt. He wanted to be alone at this time, then he went to the funeral. He wanted to cry in front of his father's grave.

It feels like Arsyil has to experience something very bitter, as bitter as this time. He had to leave his father, and tomorrow he had to part with Najwa.

At the tomb of his father, Arsyil immediately rested. The pusara, which was still wet, was now back in her tears.

"Dad, I'm sorry. I'm not his son either, leaving father without visiting, without asking him how dad was doing. Hik hik hik."

Arsyil cried in front of his father's belly button, which he had been holding since last night. Now he's spilling in front of his father's belly button.

"I must lose my father, and the wife I now love. How can I get a trial like this, dad. O Allah, please forgive You for I complain, I am only a weak servant. Hik hik hik."

Arsyil was crying in front of his father. Silence makes the atmosphere around become involved in the sadness of Arsyil.

For a long time he lamented his heart and fate, after he was satisfied. Arsyil got up from his crouching, stood up and wiped his tears, said a prayer, and he left again. Go to your destination all the way to Mr. Sanip's house. He realized that God was testing his patience in dealing with everything. Accepting her fate must part with the people she loves so much.
