Azam, Mala, Ridho and Selvi Ridho's wife were eating together in the dining room. They eat with a casual chat.
Mala served her husband well, she is happy now Azam has come home and gathered again.
Half an hour they eat while telling a relaxing story. Now Azam is in the backyard holding his son Ameer. Mala brought her husband coffee and mango pieces.
Ridho approached the two who were chatting casually.
"What are you doing?" ask Ridho.
"Let's just relax." replied Mala.
"Abang is sitting here, wanting to talk to your husband" Ridho said.
"Yes, I went in first with Ameer. He hasn't had any drinks either" Mala said.
Mala took Ameer from Azam's sling. He saw Azam so calm, invisible face scared or stiff because it will be in court by his brother.
It seems Azam is ready with what will be discussed with Ridho. Mala went into the house, met her sister-in-law. Waiting anxiously, Selvi finds out that her sister-in-law is afraid that her brother will forbid Azam to take her and his son.
"Mala, what's wrong with you?" ask Selvi.
"I'm afraid, brother, afraid that bang Ridho forbid mas Azam take me and Ameer back home" Mala replied.
"Don't be afraid, you can't possibly do that. Brother see, your husband does look different after coming home from Kalimantan" Selvi said.
"Yes my sister." said Mala.
He was still restless even though Selvi said that his brother only wanted to confirm to Azam only fulfilled his status. However, he prayed that everything would be fine.
While behind the house, Azam and Ridho chatted casually but seriously. At first Ridho asked about Azam's work, about his service to Kalimantan as well as everything that happened to him so far.
"So you've solved your secretary's problem?" ask Ridho.
"Here, I assure you not to put him in jail. But I fired him from his job." Azam replied.
"Then, about your best friend. Is he done too?" ask Ridho again.
"He's a good man, Arsyil my best friend who's always been good to me. But I made him lose his job, even though it wasn't on purpose and I didn't make him not work. But I'm still responsible for compensating for all those printing fires" Azam said.
He took a deep breath, having not met anymore with Arsyil and Najwa. Maybe he has given birth to his ex-wife.
"Keep, are you still expecting your ex-wife again?" ask Ridho.
Azam turned his head to Ridho, he stared flatly at his wife's brother. Then look forward again with a deep breath.
"Do you think I'll divorce Mala after my son is born? And chasing my ex-wife?" Azam asked back.
"I think so." Briefly replied Ridho.
"I'm just scared, Zam. My sister is quiet, even though she sometimes ngeyel. But he can't force anything on anyone else, anything else on the person he loves. He loves you, Zam. I've said many times that your marriage is only a condition. But indeed God wills another." said Ridho.
"Yes, back again this is Ridho's destiny. My destiny will always be to live together with your sister, my destiny will always be to love your sister and your nephew. Does that still make you doubt, if I really mean all my destiny" Azam said seriously.
Ridho looked deeply at Azam, looking for the truth in his brother-in-law. Then he looked ahead, taking a deep breath.
"I just don't want my brother to love you. You are not, as a brother. I have to protect my sister so that she does not get hurt, even though her life is adequate and you always pay attention to her needs" Ridho said.
Azam knew what Ridho said, nor could he just force his heart to love Mala. But he believes, with their habits together will gradually intertwine the love story of himself and Mala.
"I am a responsible man, loving my son and my wife. I'm also a human being with a heart and a brain, Ridho. It is impossible with the long passage of time and our togetherness throughout the day does not engender a sense of love in my heart. Maybe I should be a lot grateful, get your sister without having to argue any longer. And you have to trust me, I will make Mala and Ameer happy" Azam assured Ridho the brother-in-law.
"That's what I want, Zam. We are friends, I do not want between these friendships will break up between brothers or as friends just because there are problems that hamper. But I also as a brother have to make sure my sister falls in the right hands, because I actually regretted giving Mala to you for my own sake" said Ridho.
"Yes, I know. You will be disappointed in me, but trust me. If I'm going to make Mala and Ameer happy for good, brother-in-law" Azam said.
Ridho turned to Azam, then smiled and looked down. He took a deep breath, feeling relieved that Azam said solemnly.
"I keep your promise, Zam. If there's a problem, solve both of you. But if your problems are too complicated and matters of the heart again, then I will be your parents. And if you renege on your promise, I will not hesitate to bring Mala back to my house Zam" said Ridho again.
"Yes, keep my promise Dho. As long as I am able to take care of Mala and Ameer, then never interfere in my family's affairs. But if you've gone too far to interfere with my family's problems, I also don't hesitate to hate you Ridho" said Azam.
The two stared at each other. But then they smiled, and then they laughed. The atmosphere is now relaxed as before.
Mala and Selvi join the two. Mala saw her husband smiling happily, she took Ameer from Mala's sling. Tempting her by kissing her stomach, made the baby boy squirm and chuckle.
"It's very exciting to be with you, son." Azam told Ameer.
Mala smiled, she looked towards her brother. The look on her face was also relaxed, which meant that their conversation was completely finished and there was no heated debate between Ridho and her husband.
"We're going home, yuk son. Papa misses mom" said Azam again talking to the baby.
Of course making Mala's face red, she looked down deeply because of her husband's words. And Ridho also teased his sister.
"She knows you're done with the puerperium. That's why he wants to go home quickly" said Ridho glanced at his sister.
"Well, I want to miss it apparently" Selvi said in response to her husband's remarks.
Azam just smiled, and so did Mala. The warm atmosphere made the four people back to chatting casually, for Mala it all made her feel happy. Because she also misses her husband. A different kind of miss for him to Azam.
