"L-Lizardman?!"
"W-You're kidding me, aren't you, Bard?"
"Handid? Why am I joking in a situation like this?" reply Bard expressionlessly.
All of our expressions froze. The Lizardman is not an easy opponent. They are much more agile, strong, and great at fighting compared to us. The Lizardman also has strong scales, and is not easily penetrated by ordinary sharp weapons.
Even the humans had also avoided a fight with the Lizardman. They think that the Lizardman is a pretty troublesome opponent.
Now then, it is We who will fight against that race.
"Are you crazy, Uncle Bard?!" Jefri yelling.
"If you have a problem in your life then die alone, don't take us!!" shouted Ted.
"Really! Is there no stronger opponent than the Lizardman?!"
"Beyond Elen!! You should find an easier opponent!"
We all protested to the surprised Bard. Despite that, Bard shook his head.
"Even though you said it, but all of this was already arranged by Uncle Herlin. We can only accept it."
"Damn it, the old man seems to be planning to kill us" Ted lamented.
It was true that fighting the Lizardman seemed too hasty. I don't doubt the ability of the troops, because they are experienced maybe they can handle it. But what about Ted, Jefri, and Elen?
The three of them still had not experienced sufficient experience except the monster hunting experience. Although they also had fighting experience, it was still not enough compared to against the Lizardman.
The difference in the level of the Goblin and Lizardman races was also too far away.
"Sorry, Uncle Bard. Can I go to the bathroom first?"
"Ethen's? All right, but hurry back."
After saying goodbye, I immediately looked for a place far away from all of them. Then use the [Teleport] skill to head into Herlin's tent.

When I got to Herlin's tent. There was an unexpected incident.
"Why are you here, Ehen?"
"Dad yourself, why is it here?"
Father and Herlin were sitting together facing each other. I think I came at an inopportune time. Because after seeing them, you know that they're discussing something important.
But either way, my problem is no less important.
"What a coincidence, sit down, Ethen."
Being allowed to sit by my father, I sat next to him.
"Now because Ethen's here. I want to discuss it together. But before that, Ethen do you want to say something?" ask Herlin.
"I thought you were going to say that, among the other Goblins. You seem to be smarter, Mogard must be proud to have a kid as smart as you."
"Just talk to Herlin, tell me your purpose immediately."
"I understand," Herlin then looked at me. "As you said, this mission is indeed at risk. But we have no other choice."
"No other choice?" many wonder.
Now the father explains, "Ethen, you're my son, and maybe you'll be the Goblin leader in the future. So I won't hesitate to tell you the problems we're facing right now."
I feel a bad feeling about this.
"Actually, our lives are being threatened" said the father with a serious face.
I'm not too surprised, because Goblins are monsters that are always hunted.
"What do you mean by threatened?"
"Orcs... The Orcs will attack our village."
I frowned. Orcs, they are no different from us Goblins. They could not use magic, and also lived in groups. However, their bodies and their physical abilities are much greater compared to us Goblins. With one Orc alone, it can already overwhelm us in fighting it.
"The main reason we had to plunder the Lizardman was because the Lizardman was a powerful race that had scales as strong as steel. By using those scales, we can make good armor for our troops to fight against the Orcs."
"In that way, there will be many fatalities in the army of the Loots because of the distance of their power difference" I replied
"Right, there'll probably be a lot of casualties in our army. But killing one or two Lizardmen and bringing home their scales is good."
"That means you're willing to sacrifice a lot of people to get some scales?"
Herlin nodded at my conclusion. This way I've got a definite answer about the reason behind the looting mission. But what am I supposed to do? Do I have to help them finish off the Lizardmen? However I do not want my powers to be re-exposed, let alone erasing the memories one by one it is very troublesome.
"Ethen, because you already know the purpose of this looting mission. You can choose to come or not" said Herlin.
I looked at my father to see his reaction. But my father didn't budge at all, it seemed like he chose to respect every decision I made.
I stood up, and breathed.
"I'll do my best not to die."
After that, leave the tent.

After Ehen's departure, Herlin and Mogard continued their conversation.
"Are you sure you let your son just walk away?" Herlin asked.
"It doesn't matter, after all Ehen is 15 years old. As a parent, I appreciate every decision he makes. Of course I'm still worried, but because that's the path my son chose. I can't refuse it."
"Oh, yeah... Well, anyway I believe he'll be fine. After all Ethen is my best student."
"And he's my son."
