Kasna Flowers. Flowers are white to all leaves, only growing in Temukus, Besakih Village Karangasem Regency. This flower, also called the Bali Edelweiss Flower, has long and pointed leaves. It's shaped like a grasshopper that's sleeping face down. One tree has many leaves, so it looks very charming with the white color of this tree. The tree, which is only knee-high, thrives in Temucus.
Kasna flowers will be harvested during Galungan Day and Kuningan Feast Day because this flower is intended to beautify temples and houses.
The beginning of the story of Bunga Kasna was given by Hyang Widi to a woman who was sad because of her miserable life. The beautiful woman begged Hyang Widi to give her the most beautiful gift, just once in her life to cheer her heart. Then Hyang Widi gave Kasna Flowers and allowed white flowers, growing in the Temukus area. Since then, the cultivated flower and paired with the Marigold Flower is planted on the slopes of Mount Agung.
Kasna flowers are also believed to repel evil spirits in a person. Flowers also called Edelweiss Bali are very disliked by evil spirits because they feel uncomfortable when smelling white flowers. It is the belief of the Balinese people.
