Delmira threw a smile, seeing her husband walking out of the hallway, his hands carrying a plastic crackle.
Zaidan gave a bottle of drink to the Princess' mother, then another bottle to Delmira.
"Thank you," said Delmira received a bottle of mineral water that had been opened the bottle cap, "Pap who has been drinking?" lontar Delmira later.
"Already," said Zaidan.
After saying basmallah, the drink was a sip of Delmira.
Previously, Zaidan did call Delmira to come to the hospital, he told her about the incident that happened to Princess.
Delmira rushed to the hospital with a car. While Fernando, he was forced to leave because there are things that need to be taken care of in preparation for his wedding.
"Doctor hasn't left the room yet?" lontar Zaidan on Mama Princess.
He shook his head.
"Ma, how's our son doing?" lontar Pak Hidayat, as soon as he arrived at the hospital.
The middle-aged woman immediately splashed onto her husband's body, tears that had stopped flowing were now visible back on his two cheeks.
Mr. Hidayat was seen returning hugs, calming his wife's condition.
"It has been an hour since the doctor has not come out of the room" said the Princess' mother.
Hidayat can be seen plucking his breath, his hands still moving gently patted his wife's back. He had only arrived at the hospital, because his position was still out of town.
"The doctor must have come out with good news" said Hidayat trying to calm his wife.
"So, how's my son doing?" lontar mama Putri heard the door opened she suddenly took off her embrace and stepped closer to the doctor.
"Alhamdulillah, he is awake, now resting. Please if you want to see his condition," replied the doctor.
"Thank you Doc" said Hidayat, while the Princess' mother preferred the entrance to the treatment room.
Delmira and Zaidan also entered.
For about ten minutes they were inside.
"Zaidan, can we talk?" ask Hidayat.
"Well sir" Zaidan replied, but before leaving the room, Zaidan told Delmira.
Hidayat and Zaidan sat in a chair that was outside the room.
"Do you see my son's condition?" rhetorical Hidayat answered a small nod by Zaidan, "how long can he survive" he continued, breathing harshly.
"I really cannot bear to see the condition of the Princess," said Hidayat, who was a strong man, to shed tears.
Zaidan was still silent carefully hearing the grievance of the middle-aged man.
"He loves you very much Zaid, even from first sight. The princess spoke to me once. One thing that makes you happy is seeing your face. Cancer cells do not grow rapidly if the patient feels happy," said Hidayat, he stopped talking taking a breath and continued his speech.
"Can you marry her?"
Deg.
Zaidan was able to estimate what Hidayat was going to say, but still he felt surprised when the sentence was thrown from his former partner.
"I beg you, just accompany the Princess for the rest of her life," Hidayat's pinta inched from the seat and was now in a prostrate position at Zaidan's feet.
"Astaghfirullah haladhim, sir don't do this," exclaimed Zaidan, holding Hidayat's body to sit properly on the chair.
"Istighfar sir, hand over all the same Allah. What is in this world belongs solely to Allah" Zaidan continued, patting Hidayat on the back.
Hidayat bowed his body, drowning his face in two strokes of his own hands.
"I can't do anything for my son" muttered Hidayat in a raucous voice.
"More doctors say, the cancer suffered by the Princess has spread and cannot be operated on" continued Hidayat.
Zaidan still patted Hidayat on the back, trying to calm the man who had been his partner.
"Sorry sir, I_" said Zaidan stammered and weak but quickly cut Hidayat.
Zaidan threw out his breath, his hand stopped patting Hidayat's back, then moved to scratch his nape even though it was not itchy. The head turned to the side, his eyes immediately stopped looking when at the door not far from where he and Hidayat were sitting, there was Delmira who stood staring.
"Delmira," murmured Zaidan.
Zaidan woke up to his wife.
"I want to go home" Delmira said in a weak voice.
"Ok, we go home" said Zaidan.
"Sorry, Mr. Hidayat, we go home first" said Zaidan, "assalamualaikum," he said later.
"Waalaikum salam" replied Hidayat.
"Wait for Nak Zaidan" Hidayat chided after Zaidan passed through his body.
"Zaidan and Delmira were forced to stop his steps, Zaidan turned his body, while Delmira remained standing looking back.
"Please rethink my plea" said Hidayat, "you, be careful on the road" he said.
Zaidan just silently did not answer said Hidayat instead returned to say hello to retreat.
Along the way, Delmira preferred to be quiet, even if she opened her voice she only said one or two words.
...****************...
The night has greeted.
"There's work that I haven't finished yet, I'm done first" Zaidan said as Delmira climbed into the bed preparing to go to sleep.
A smile and a nod of Delmira showed in reply to Zaidan.
Zaidan quickly finished his work, as Fernando was still busy with the wedding preparations. So inevitably he had to overtime for the work that must be done this week.
It took twenty minutes, Zaidan completed his task. Impressed in a hurry but indeed it must be done Zaidan. He will speak something important to his wife.
Zaidan crawled up to the bed after taking the water.
"Have you slept?" lontar Zaidan stroked Delmira's arm.
"Hmmmm," said Delmira, his eyes were closed but he had not really fallen asleep.
"Momyang...had heard Mr. Hidayat talk to me this afternoon?" lontar Zaidan's.
Delmira was silent, not because she was asleep but did not know what to answer and better choose to pretend to sleep.
To be honest, however, after coming home from the hospital, Delmira's mind was full of burdens. Especially when going home, accidentally heard a conversation between her husband and Mr. Hidayat.
"According to Momyang?" lontar Zaidan's.
Delmira is still in the same fashion, pretending to sleep.
Zaidan propped his body so that his position was higher and raised his face to see Delmira's face, because the position of Delmira who turned his back to Zaidan made himself unable to look directly at his wife's face.
"Momyang," Zaidan said, laying down his body and immediately hugging Delmira's body tightly.
"You're going to marry the Princess?" lontar Delmira's.
Zaidan smiled, as if he did not heed Delmira's words, he further tightened his embrace.
"I'm asking, why don't you answer?! You're going to marry her?!" lecar Delmira raised her tone of voice, her breathing sounded up and down, her heart was pumped abnormally, her heart felt squeezed from holding back anger.
"Zayd!" sumpul Delmira was forced to turn his body, and as usual, if he had called by name, not a favorite greeting means Delmira's mood was not good.
Zaidan smiled as Delmira pursed her lips.
"Why are you smiling like that? What does that mean, yes, you're going to marry her?" delmira.
Not the answer that Delmira got but a close hug and kiss that landed on the top of the head from Zaidan.
