“If you know you are sick, it is better not to come. You may ask permission,” advice Doctor Rian who treated Carnations directly at that time. Though the night shift is over because today it is almost six o'clock, but the man still took the time to look at the Carnation.
“I feel fine, Doc,” replied Anyelir in a weak tone. The woman was adamant about her condition which was okay, even though she was sick. Yeah, he's sick at the thought of Joni's remaining debt as well as his lost home.
Ah, maybe the rest of Joni's debt isn't too burdened, but this one is her home. The stepfather of the woman has a debt of 500 million and he paid a small part of the debt by selling the house owned by Carnation at a price that is not even half of Joni's debt as a whole.
“You didn't contact Dylan?” rian asked who was thrusting his phone and showing Dylan's contact to the Carnations.
The woman shook her head. His call had been ignored since then and until now the man had not called back to him.
“You sure? Is it possible Miss Lastri? Bi Ai?”
Carnations keep shaking. “No need, it's still too early, they must be busy.”
“Good. Up yours. I'm not suggesting you go home first. Even I want you to stay here until you recover. Let me take care of your administration.” Doctor Rian turned around and left the Carnation lying down with his hands connected to the hose.
“Doctor,” call Carnation that stops the man.
“Hmmm?”
“Thank you, yes.”
“Sama-sama.”
“Dan ... it ...”
“What?” Doctor Rian turned back towards Carnation. Looking at the woman, there seems to be something quite serious to say.
“Ah, it's okay.” Carnation to say it.
Doctor Rian exhaled a little hard, then the man pulled the chair until his creaking sounded and he sat on it. “Tell me. I'll listen, consider me a second infusion pole. What I heard, I will forget after I get out of this room.”
Carnations also chuckled softly to hear the parable revealed by this doctor. “Nothing, really. Really!”
“Really?” ask Dr. Rian again.
The woman with the infusion hose was stunned. She hesitated to say it, but a small part of her heart said .. Maybe this man before her is trustworthy. “Nothing is so important, only I ask you please don't tell Mr. Dylan that I'm sick.”
Rian folded his lips inward. He raised an eyebrow while nodding his head. For a few seconds he was silent and thought of some possibilities, but in the end he made a sound. “If possible, I want to ask you a few things.”
“What?”
“This is about your marriage to Dylan. Things I don't know yet because neither you nor Dylan have told me.” Rian ventured to open his voice about this. Not because he was too involved, but he did care about both of them. Carnations, also Dylan.
“What?” ask Carnation again.
“How can you be a biological mother of Rio?”
A simple question for the sick woman, but the weight of her mouth to open her voice explained what had happened in her past.
“Why do you want to know?” Carnations asked back.
“Because I care about you two. I understand how Dylan feels about Andin, but ... on the other hand seeing you like this, I don't want you to get hurt.”
The carnation opened its mouth. “I was confused as to what to answer and tell her where to start," said the woman in the end.
“Then let me ask you a question.”
“Please.”
“What while pregnant with Rio, you were in a legitimate marriage with Dylan. Anu .. I mean, you're not pregnant because of an accidental element?” ask Rian this time.
The woman nodded. “I married Mr. Dylan, then did a baby tube program and then conceived Rio. So ... My pregnancy was very deliberate.”
“You do baby tube? Why not Andin? Ah, look ...” Rian corrected the question. “If judging from Rio's age, it looks like you gave birth to that child when Dylan had been together with Andin, how could he possibly marry you?” The handsome doctor was getting more and more seriously responding to the story from Carnation.
“If Mr. Dylan and Ms. Andin's problem, I'm lacking. What's clear is that they paid me to be Mr. Dylan's wife and to do a baby tube program and carry her child. Actually ... I was paid to do that,” explained Anyelir with a choked voice.
Rian was surprised and looked at Carnations with a sliced look.
“You must be thinking something about me, right, Doc?” ask Carnation while smiling sideways. “I expected it, that's why I don't want to tell anyone.”
The handsome doctor also nodded. “I'm sure you have your own reasons for doing that, and I .. have no right to judge what your past is.”
Carnation smiled a little, he was not relieved because of Rian's opinion on him, but he was relieved because today there was something he could talk to.
“At least I understand the outline of your story. Then ... do you know what the fate of Andin and Dylan's marriage is now?”
Carnation shakes. “I only wish the best for them.”
“You're hoping for them to get back together? Because if I see, ever since you came into their lives, Dylan and Andin have not been together.” Rian knew about the other men in Andin's life, but he deliberately did not talk about it in front of Carnations.
“If it's best for them, then just let it happen.” Andin's answer sounded like a desperate man. Maybe not, but .. resigned and did not expect much.
“Your face is like an unwilling person. You like Dylan?” asked Rian directly without further ado. The man seemed to care so much about Carnations.
Carnations were silent, he just lay down with a thin smiling face while staring blankly in any direction.
“Silence I assume it is the answer yes. Now I want one more question,” said Rian.
The woman looked at Rian to wait for the next question. “If Dylan and Andin return, what will you do?”
Anjelir thought for a moment, and the woman answered him. “I'll go, as long as Rio's healed and fine. I'm gonna go. From the beginning, I didn't have to be in their lives. So ... I'll go.” Anyelir's answer sounded steady, but Rian could see the sad flush in my face.
The man also held the fingertips of Carnation. “If you go from him, come to me.”
