Marrying the Paralyzed

Marrying the Paralyzed
Chapter 8

Upon arrival at home, Raka leaves without asking Melinda to push the wheelchair up to the room.

Raka went to her room assisted by one of the bodyguards at the house.

Melinda did not go straight into the house, she chose to enjoy her night in the front yard of the house. Unknowingly, she cried when she remembered how her father treated her like everyone else.

Am I really Dad's son?

Why is my father's affection for me and my step-sister different.

While Dad was in need of help to clean up, I came forward. When Dad was sick and Mom wasn't around, I was the one taking care of Dad. But why have my efforts never been seen by my father? Wh why? (Inner Melinda)

Melinda cries and hopes that the Father can return to her affection and attention.

“Young lady please go inside! The night wind is not good for the health of young Miss,” said one of the servants who was actually ordered by Raka to bring Melinda inside.

Melinda immediately wiped her tears and entered the house.

While walking to the elevator, Melinda passed by Almer who was carrying several piles of books in his hand that night.

“Kakek why bring this many books? Melinda help ya Kek!” Melinda forgot her sadness and with her sweet smile she brought some books in her hands.

Almer learns that Melinda just cried. However, Almer chose to pretend not to know because if he asked would make Melinda awkward.

“How's your stepmother doing?” ask Almer.

“Mother Dina has not been aware of her stings, Kek.”

“Did your future husband trouble you again?” tanya Almer tried to pry the attitude of his grandson.

“Prospective husband? You mean Grandpa, Mas Raka?” asked Melinda who was a little confused.

Almer laughed at Melinda's hesitant voice when she mentioned Raka, her granddaughter.

“Sure, who else if not Raka?”

Melinda blushed in embarrassment and said that Raka was a good man. Of course Melinda's words were not entirely true, because Raka still upset her.

“Thank you, granddaughter-in-law. Now go to the room!”

“Good, Cake. Melinda excuse me.”

Melinda smiled after coming out of Almer Arafat's study. He was warm when he talked to Almer who brought him into the house.

At the very least, there were still people who thought it existed and smiled sincerely at him.

“Where are you from?” Suddenly Raka comes and her clothes look cute in Melinda's eyes.

Melinda held back her laughter seeing Raka dressed in pink pajamas.

“What are you laughing at, right?” ask Raka who is not happy with Melinda's behavior which she thinks is not polite.

“Sorry, Mas Raka. Seeing Mas Raka like this, makes me want to laugh,” explained Melinda who is now mediocre even though in her heart she still laughs at the pajamas Raka wears.

“Don't poke me like that, these pajamas are a special person's gift to me.”

Is that special person Mas Raka's lover? In that case, am I the other woman's lover's usurper? (Inner Melinda)

Melinda plays in her own mind, she looks like a fool trying to find answers on her own.

“Melinda! Didn't you hear my words?” Raka grew increasingly furious with the slow attitude Melinda spoke to must be silent like a dazed person.

“Sorry, Mas Raka. Please repeat what Mas Raka said just now.”

“I hate to repeat my words. Now you go to my room and prepare all my needs tomorrow!” raka's orders are cold.

“Listen to me carefully, even though you will soon be my wife. You're just me as a waiter in this house. Remember that! Never complain to Grandpa about this problem!” Raka warns Melinda not to complain to Grandpa at all.

Melinda was self-conscious and knew herself the reason for coming to the house. He could not refuse what Raka said and commanded him.

“I assume your silence is an acceptance. Now take me to my room!”

Melinda nodded in understanding and drove Raka towards the room.

“Where are you?” raka asked as Melinda tried to step her foot out of the room.

“Is there anything Mas Raka needs?” ask Melinda.

“Didn't I have said that? Prepare my needs tomorrow!”

“Now?” ask Melinda to make sure.

“Next year,” ketus Raka.

“Means Mas Raka is working next year?” Melinda was completely innocent with what Raka had said.

Raka laughed at Melinda's expression which really made her growl.

“I wonder why Grandpa insisted on making you my wife. In addition to your disgusting face, you also have very low intelligence,” said Raka astonished.

“Is there anything else Mas Raka wants to say about me?” asked Melinda who was ready to accept insults, taunts and even mocking by the man in front of her.

Raka combed her hair with her fingers and chose to go up to her bed without help from Melinda.

Melinda just stood still without asking or moving. Until Raka finally ordered him to leave the room.

“Remember, tomorrow you must come to my room before 6!” raka's orders reminded Melinda again.

Melinda nodded and rushed out of Raka's room which made her heart goosebumps.

“Do whatever the arrogant young master commands, Melinda. After all, you are usually needed like a maid,” said Melinda while continuing to step her feet into the room.

Inside the room, Melinda immediately took off the clothes she was wearing. The makeup on her face made her feel like she was not herself, because her real self was not as beautiful as the makeup on her face.

“Yes Allah, may I wish more? Can I feel life as a human even if only a little,” Melinda said expectantly.

Melinda went into the bathroom to clean herself up. He could not rest until he was completely clean.

After taking a bath, Melinda performed a delayed Islamic prayer.

His sadness came back when he remembered that he and his late mother often performed congregational prayers in the room.

Bambang very rarely pray with him and his mother, because Bambang is very busy working to meet the needs of daily life.

Otherside.

Raka stared at the ceiling of her room while recalling the events in Melinda's parents' house.

Raka clearly sees Bambang treating Melinda and Katty differently.

Melinda's? What kind of girl is she?

Why did Grandpa ask me to marry Melinda who was clearly the daughter of a thief. (Inner of Raka)

Raka closed her eyes and chose to go to sleep instead of thinking about something unfavorable for her.

“We see how you can be patient with my attitude,” said Raka monologued and finally decided to really sleep.
