Ilya opened the apartment door. In the living room is seen the figure of Gauri who fell asleep while sitting on the sofa, not usually he went home early, he said, maybe the work is finished until Gauri can go home that night—Ilya used his ability to make the air of his existence felt thin so that Gauri is not disturbed by his arrival, he said, he walked up to the younger brother and smiled, looking at his deeply asleep face.
His little sister had grown up, he had even become an important and powerful figure in his country. Ilya still could not believe it but she felt proud of her sister's achievements.
"You'll have a sore neck if you sleep that way."
Ilya spoke briefly while holding her sister's body and then brought her into the room. Ilya carefully put Gauri to sleep there, put a blanket to cover half her body then kissed Gauri's forehead briefly—an old habit she never did again, it felt so nostalgic.
"Good sleep Ari, thank you for fighting all this time, I'm proud of you"
After saying that Ilya walked away towards her room which was next to Gauri's room, her steps came to a halt as she sensed the air of someone's existence from above.
Ilya looked up at the ceiling, his eyes narrowed and then he threw a fruit knife that he took origin to enter—he heard someone's voice when the knife was stuck, and then he threw a knife, apparently someone else went in there.
"Damn it! He said he was weak!?"
The man with the mask covering his face grumbled as he received a sudden attack from Ilya, he thought the task this time was easy because it only threatened a weak F rank Hunter but who would have thought he could go back against it?
"No one said he could fight!!"
Ilya's knife successfully stuck in his leg, making him difficult to walk. His hand grabbed the device, intending to report the new information he had obtained but someone's hand grabbed his shoulder first, making him shocked.
"When you visit it's polite. There's a front door why do we have to sneak around?"
Ilya smashed the man's device with a single hand.
The man shivered when he saw Ilya who was suddenly behind him, he was sure that Ilya was still in the middle room so why was he there!? He practically stepped back, intending to run away but Ilya again managed to block him.
"Don't run away."
Brak!
The ceiling of the living room was hollow as Ilya slammed the body of the man hard, he was not worried that Gauri would wake up because Ilya had already attached a shield that blocked the sound of going into Gauri—'s roomthe noise he was doing would not be heard by the people outside.
"Say, who told you to?"
Ilya asked with a cold face. His feet pressed against the man's head who was now injured by the attack.
"Stupid. Where would I say that"
Ilya was silent for a moment. Right, why did he ask the enemy that? He obviously won't answer.
"Okay, I changed the question"
Ilya added strength to his legs, he pressed the man's head even more until the sound of a broken bone was heard.
The man groaned in pain. He could not rebel even though Ilya had been trying so hard to hold him back that he could do nothing.
'Why is he so strong!?'
Ilya it was only an F rank that was no different from ordinary humans, so why was it that he was currently unable to fight it? Though he himself is a Hunter rank A, Ilya should be easy to defeat.
"You, just die here?"
The man's face darkened as he heard Ilya's serious speech. He tried to look up, looking at the face of Ilya who smiled faintly at him.
He did not have time to continue his words because his consciousness was lost when Ilya hit the back of his head violently, he did not die, just fainted.—Ilya did not kill humans, he only wanted to kill monsters and the like.
["What do you want to do with him?"]
For the first time that day Noe spoke to Ilya. It seemed that the system had a curiosity as to what Ilya would do next.
Ilya grinned, looking like an antagonist in a story about to do evil.
"Easy, I'll read his memories"
Being trapped for a long time in the dungeon left Ilya with several abilities, one of which was to read the memories of someone he had touched.
Ilya crouched down, her outstretched hand touching the man's head to use her ability. Ilya could not see all the memories of the target he wanted, the duration he could see was only thirty minutes ago other than that the ability to read memories consumed so much energy that Ilya sometimes ended up exhausted.
His eyes closed for a moment, the memory of thirty minutes ago belonged to the man began to appear in his head—reeled like a movie cassette, tapes, Ilya sorted out all the information he saw but none of his memories gave any clue as to who was behind this incident.
There was only one clue Ilya found, namely the initials of the person who sent the man to Gauri's apartment.
"Mr A?"
He muttered little. In the man's memory he receives a call from someone, with the lure of a lot of money he asks him to threaten Ilya who is Gauri's weakness.
His voice sounded heavy like a man in his thirties, he used a pseudonym and was referred to as Mr. A.
Ilya has no clue as to who Mr. A is, but Mr. A is definitely his enemy and could be dangerous for Gauri.
"I'll have to find out later."
He has decided to investigate this attack, it could be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow the same person returns again.
Ilya dispelled the memory of the man with her ability. It would be a problem if he were to spread about the power of Ilya who was not an F rank to the public, he could not publish it at the moment so all he could do now was to play the role of a weak elder brother.
After he finished he threw the man's body into a deserted alley. Let her be confused as to why she woke up in such a place, Ilya did not want to bother about how the fate of the man would be.
["It's not dangerous to keep him alive? He could come back later"]
Noe spoke again, not understanding the move Ilya took. He should have lost the evidence to prevent anything else from happening, but if it was like this instead Ilya would instead invite a new enemy? Yes, that was Ilya's goal.
"What's the problem if he comes again? I'll just beat them, easy, right?"
He spoke with confidence. Ilya was confident in the strength he had, there was nothing comparable to him there so he did not have to worry about meeting a powerful enemy until it overwhelmed him.
Noe let out a long sigh of confidence in Ilya who pierced through the sky, he also knew that the man had already reached the maximal level but he should have been more careful on his every decision.
["The pride may destroy you someday. I'm just reminding you"]
Ilya did not comment on Noe's remarks to her. He laid his body on the bed, pulled his blanket and then began to enter dreamland.
"Yes, yeah, yeah. I know that, yes. I'm sleepy to go to sleep!"
His eyes felt heavy and tired from the fight, he fell asleep immediately after his head stuck to the pillow.
