"I'm disappointed in you, Do Hwa"

The man in his forties threw a tablet featuring news of the researchers' deaths onto a table with a flat face, he looked at a woman sitting in front of him with a cold gaze then let out a long sigh.

Plan's ruined. Supposedly her foster daughter could solve this by bringing those researchers to the dungeon and forcing them to sign a cooperation between her and them, she and her daughter, but he did not expect his plan to fail miserably because Han Do Hwa did not do what he asked well.

The man, William Ford would not tolerate any wrongdoing even if it was done by his adopted daughter.

"Tell me, what did you do until they died there?"

William asked briefly. His legs were crossed while his gaze did not escape Do Hwa who looked down in fear, he could never look him in the eyes even though he was already his adoptive father.

"I didn't do anything."

Do Hwa answered him tremblingly. Once he misspoke, William would give him a worse sentence, so he tried to be honest even if he did a little lie.

"really. You are like this, I was wrong for entrusting this task to you."

William's voice sounded disappointed. Do Hwa was goosebumps hearing William's voice, she had a bad feeling that her foster father would punish her right now.

"I'll ask you one more time."

He paused his words for a moment. His legs he lowered, the table that separated him from Do Hwa was not too wide so he could grasp Do Hwa's face easily at this time.

Do Hwa closed her eyes, she shook her head quickly while crying out in pain. William's grip was so strong that it could leave a blue trace on his face, Do Hwa persisted to not moan in pain because William did not like him.

"I don't know dad."

Do Hwa's short answer made William's anger even more so. He throws Do Hwa's face to the table, then he stands up from his seat.

Do Hwa groaned a little in pain, her nose bleeding from the strong clash of her face with the wooden table.

"Basic is useless. I will punish you, for one month you will be locked in a white room. Think about it and think about what you did wrong!"

Do Hwa's eyes are perfectly rounded. Whatever the punishment he'll receive except for the white room. The room is empty and narrow, there is only white in there—Do Hwa is not physically tortured, but in that room he will feel mentally tortured and psychically can be damaged.

"Dad! i please! Not the white room! I'm afraid of dad's cramped place!"

Do Hwa pulled William's shirt, tried to scavenge the man's sympathy to change his sentence.Yet William was a strict man, he would not change the punishment on the person who made a mistake just out of pity on him.

"Pathetic."

Do Hwa lost her power. He fell to his feet sitting on the floor with a blank and scared expression simultaneously, after which two men in black suits came and brought Do Hwa who seemed to lose consciousness.

William stared at the incident. He had no pity at all for his adopted daughter, after all the purpose of him raising Do Hwa to be his daughter was indeed to be taken advantage of, so if she was useless then William could throw her away at any time.

'But it's not time for him to be banished, I still need his abilities later'

Do Hwa was still useful in William's eyes, therefore even though he committed the fatal mistake Do Hwa only received punishment and not banishment.

William approached the table, he sat back down and let out a long sigh. The plan to make the experiments of the monsters and humans he had already thought of run failed, in the end William had to think of another way to achieve his goal.

William wants to reach the peak of human power by combining the abilities of monsters and humans, he cannot do it alone therefore William needs reliable researchers for the task.

The researchers were easily persuaded by the money he already had, but the other three researchers were extremely difficult for him to conquer. They could not be persuaded by money or power, which is why William decided to coerce them.

William uses Do Hwa's status as the researchers' junior to get them to side with him, but Do Hwa confuses him by disobeying what William tells him to do.

The researchers' deaths must have been intentional. Rather than get caught up in a contract with William they choose to die at the hands of monsters and save Do Hwa out of the dungeon, William is completely fed up with those researchers who until the end defy his will.

"But, because of them I was able to find something interesting."

William stared at news other than the death of the researchers, he saw the news of the emergence of the brother of the head of the Orbit guild who returned after being missing for five years.
