Meet Me At Midnight's

Meet Me At Midnight's
That Night

Brian arrived at the ornamental garden. See if Gisel is still waiting for him or not. Brian was worried about his heart. He was confused as to how to deal with Gisel. Avoiding him was not the right answer for him. As Brian avoids him, Brian's heart becomes more confused and hesitant about whether he should step forward or back.

But in the Sudsh ornamental garden there is no shadow of Gisel. Did he make Gisel wait too long for Gisel to leave and return to work?

Brian looked around the park that was getting quieter. It's ten o'clock at night. Three hours passed since their appointment.

"Have come?"

Brian heard the voice of the woman he knew. The voice sounded soft and familiar in his ears. The woman with the sweet flower dress looks so perfect in Brian's eyes.

"You still waiting?" ask Brian. Gisel's face looks tired but he still reviews the smile on his face.

"Yes. You must be busy working. So I'll just keep waiting even if I know you're gonna be late...." Not yet finished Gisel spoke, Brian hugged Gisel with a very longing. He could no longer hold himself back from hugging her.

"sorry. Sorry I came late." said Brian. Gisel just smiled hugging Brian who felt sorry that night.

It's getting night. Gisel and Brian sat on a park bench. Wanted to start the conversation but Brian's heart felt a little awkward. And so did Gisel.

Finally, the two try to talk to each other together.

"I want to..."

"Brian, i..."

When they talked together, they were silent.

"You speak first" said Gisel smiling.

"You go first." Brian also smiled a little at his own awkward behavior.

Gisel was silent for a moment, then he started his conversation.

"I'm sorry, it surprised you with my job. I just have to survive doing this kind of work."

Brian was silent, I don't know what to say.

"My parents died. And I have trouble living alone. At the time in Kalimantan, I worked in people's homes as a maid and I couldn't do that properly." Gisel looked at the black sky. There are not many stars there. But his eyes were far away looking at the vast sky.

"Definitely hard huh, live it all?" ask Brian. Brian looked at Gisel in the shade. His heart felt soaked with rain. Like plants that are happy when they have to bathe in rain water.

"What could be my choice? I dropped out of school. I can't live my life the way I want." Gisel looked at Brian with a longing gaze. It was as if a large wall was blocking his view.

"I'm sorry, Brian. If you can, there should be no great hope between us. I don't want you to get hurt because of my job" Gisel said. Brian grabbed Gisel's hand and grabbed it.

"Stop your job" Brian said spontaneously. I don't know why he said such a thing. Gisel looked into Brian's eyes looking really.

"I'll give you a job..."

"Brian, I don't have any skills" Gisel denied Brian's request.

"There certainly is. There must be skills you have." Brian looked serious about saying that. Gisel lowered his gaze. He was so afraid that his feelings were deepening for Brian.

"Brian.." call Gisel. He looked no further at Brian. Brian waited for Gisel to say his next sentence.

"We met after fifteen years. Can we convince our feelings again? It's possible that the feelings we used to have are just momentary feelings."

JDAR!!!

Brian's heart felt like it was going to explode. Why would Gisel say something like this as if unsure of Brian.

"Gisel, I've been looking for you for fifteen years. Do you still doubt my feelings?" ask Brian.

"Are you sure you can take me, Brian? My body is no longer mine. But it belongs to those who pay me. I change couples often. Are you comfortable with that?" Gisel exposes Brian to reality. The reality that Gisel doesn't have the job that many people dream of. The work that had to give up his body was touched by another man when they paid for it.

Brian was silent looking into Gisel's brown eyes. His heart was broken again. This is what Brian could not face. The fact that Gisel is a woman of the night.

"So, are you sure you can't quit your job?" brian asked not to take his eyes off Gisel.

"I can't. That's my job."

"In that case, I'll get you out of that job."

Gisel's hands felt sweaty and slightly quivering. Gisel. Time has passed. Brian was not the kid he knew from the minimarket. Now, Brian can do whatever he wants to do. Even buying a club that night he could have done.

Bella is still doing some office work that she has not been able to finish. He turned over the paper and wrote some notes. The sound of cars was heard from the bottom floor. Bella knew very well that was the sound of Brian's car that had just come home.

Bella came down the stairs and pretended to take a drink to the kitchen.

"Just home?" bella asked as soon as Brian entered the house.

"Not slept?"

"There's still a lot of work and I'm thirsty" Bella replied briefly.

"There's a friend I need to meet." Brian answered Bella's question as briefly as possible so that no other questions could be asked. Then he climbed the stairs and disappeared from Bella's sight.

Although still curious, Bella curbed her curiosity for Brian's privacy. One day he would ask himself what Brian was doing until just past midnight.

The next day, Gisel's house was showered with an unrelenting bell ringing. He felt his sleep was disturbed. He immediately woke up from his sleep and opened the door that had been very noisy since.

Liana's face looked bright with a smile on her face. While Gisel scowled annoyed because Liana came early when Gisel was sleeping.

"Well, the morning came? Noisy knows!"

Regardless of Gisel's words, Liana walked in and immediately sat down on a very comfortable sofa in Gisel's house.

"Yuh! I replaced you last night! Now it's time to make an appointment. Let's be-lan-ja." exclaimed Liana excitedly.

"What shopping? It's still morning to know! Still sleepy!" Gisel returned to his room and felt like he wanted to continue his sleep.

"Hey, hey, hey. I can't dong. Promises keep promises. It's ten o'clock anyway! Still want to sleep again?" Liana pulled Gisel's hand so as not to return to her room and immediately opened her eyes. He sat Gisel on the sofa.

"Who came last night?" gisel asked after sitting comfortably leaning on his sofa.

"Gig! Scoundrels! You know, last night there was a businessman coming! Oh my God, he wants a lot. She wanted a girl who could serve him, from groping to pouring a drink. And he seemed to be looking for our mistakes. Something is wrong, complain. This is wrong, complain. I'm sure if there's you, it'll all be solved." Liana told me with passion.

"That's razor-thin. Was he there for the first time?" ask Gisel.

"Yes. We saw him last night too. He booked a VIP room, wanted the company of four girls. He said 'quiet, I pay!' but tip only a hundred thousand! It's been a lot of want, complain, give me a little tip! No more serving him!" liana made Gisel laugh.

"Keep, what's the complaint?"

Liana tries to practice what happened last night at the club with the dialogue spoken by her clients and successfully makes Gisel laugh. Then his laughter stopped when he remembered the incident last night with Brian.

"Li." call Gisel. Liana who was still laughing and was not aware of the change in Gisel's facial expression still laughed.

"Why, seriously?" liana asked with a laugh.

"What if I quit the nightclub?" gisel asked suddenly. Liana was surprised by what Gisel said.

"Huh? Stops? Wh why? You were fit to work at the club that night. What's it stop for?"

"Eitherway. Suddenly it was on my mind" said Gisel looking away at the window. Staring at the tall building in sight and the vast sky.

"What do you want to do if you quit? Here we get a lot of money. Elsewhere you have to fight for a month to get a decent salary" Liana said. Then Liana guessed the origin if something happened because Gisel took a day off yesterday.

"Did anything change your mind?" ask Liana. Gisel was slightly aware of Liana's question.

"Whatchu mean? There is no!" gisel replied with a slight unconvinced tone.

"You're not in love with one of your clients, are you?" liana looked at Gisel deeper and deeper.

"What the hell are you talking about? Don't make no sense, don't." Gisel turned his gaze away from Liana. He did not want to see that he was lying.

"Remember, Gis. Maybe you can lie to me. Maybe we fight every time we meet. But I'm the closest to you and I can't be lied to by you" Liana said. Gisel fell silent listening to what Liana said and kept trying to deny what was said.

"No, Li. There's no way I'm falling in love with one of the clients."

"Recent!" liana exclamation arrived - arrived. "What about Regas? Famous tyre businessman. He comes to you often but never book a VIP room. Is he your problem?" guess Liana pretentiously knows.

"There's no such thing between me and Regas. He was just sad to lose his wife who had been sick for a long time and he never had the heart to have fun over the suffering of his wife. So he just needs to talk to release the burden on him. But he paid me anyway." replied Gisel explaining.

"That means Regas's a rich widower cool dong?"

"Don't look at that! Poor to know that he is. Especially having children. He was confused about what his son looked like because his wife was no longer there."

"Hm. Then it's not Regas dong ya problem." Liana seemed to be thinking about finding an answer to why Gisel suddenly wanted to quit his job. He discovered every possible man he met. Then, Liana thought of the one man who had met Gisel.

"Could possibly... Brian?" guess Liana. Gisel fell silent and could no longer speak.
