Medelline was initially unsure of what she was seeing. The girl continued to blink her eyes and began to pinch her own cheeks. He complained, felt pain. It made her sure, it was a reality. Slowly, he began to approach the large cage earlier.
The copper-haired girl, observed the large object before her. Tying his hair, then thinking of a way to release the creature trapped in the cage of the object earlier. After a long time of trying, he could not open the door. Then he began to knock on the cage.
In the end, Meddeline decided to ask others for help. The first person he thought of was, of course, Robert. Her dad. He began to row quickly, chasing the ship that had moved very far from its place earlier.
Arriving in the ship's crew room, he did not find his father. He saw his father's sister-in-law, just entering the room.
"Uncle? Did you see where my father was?"
"Oh, he. In the engine room, what's up?"
"There's nothing, Uncle. I'm going to see dad."
Without hearing his uncle's reply, Medelline left. Down the narrow corridor, into the engine room. The girl looked at the jagged wheels turned by the steam engine. His eyes looked for his father's position. A man of his age, showing where Robert was, as he asked.
"Meddy! What are you doing here, honey?"
Medelline pulled Robert gently, away from the rest of the crew.
"Dad, please ... help me!" said the girl in her father's ear.
"Help what?"
The noise of the engine, began to disturb Medelline. He asked his father to leave the room. The two of them were already standing at the stern of the ship on the most basic deck.
"You sure? I told you, Mermaid doesn't exist! They're just legends!"
Robert was upset not playing when Medelline told him what she found.
Medelline was upset when Robert refused outright, her request. He was angry, almost crying.
"Easy! I'll finish my job. I'm here working. Not playing. You go back to the crew room!"
Medelline remembered her uncle earlier. He was planning to ask the man for help.
"You crazy? Or did you drink rum?"
"No, Uncle. I mean it!"
"Easy! I'm busy right now. The boat was late because of the storm yesterday. The ship's Nahkoda asked us to work hard this time!"
Medelline was sad, no adult male would help her. Inevitably, he had to try himself. Some equipment that was considered useful, he carried le in a lifeboat. Then, paddle to the cage place earlier.
Arriving near the cage. Medelline tried to open with the equipment she was carrying. Long enough he tried, finally, it opened. With the remaining energy, he reached Merman who was still unconscious. However, it even splashed. Overwhelmed, the girl swam and began to take out the creature.
Arriving at the lifeboat, Medelline raised the creature to her. Worried about anything, he put a little water into his lifeboat, hoping it was enough to keep the merman.
Meddeline covered the cloth that had been soaked in sea water to Cyrano's body. Then he went back to chasing his ship. With a gasp of breath, he managed to get the lifeboat onto the ship. A few minutes later, the girl searched for a place to hide Merman who had been rescued.
A wooden box of fish storage, seen on the bottom corner of the deck of the ship. With great difficulty, Medelline flipped the box over and half-filled it with seawater.
Staggered, Medelline dragged the creature and put it in a box.
"Finally! Hope you're okay!" he murmured to Merman who was still closed in the water. He went back upstairs to get food for her and for the mermaid he brought.
After Medelline's departure, Cyrano woke up. He was surprised when he looked around. Everything was dark in his eyes, and it was clearly not the bottom of the sea. He poked his head out of the water where he was now.
"Where am I?" muttered.
"Well! It turns out you speak human."
Cyrano turned to the source of the voice. His eyes caught a girl with copper-red hair. In his trunk, there were all sorts of things. He began to think.
"Relax, I won't harm you. Are you hungry? What can you eat out of all this?" Medelline thrust out the things in her hands.
Cyrano's hand is stretched out. He touched the thing one-on-one. As he understood what the male mermaid was thinking, Medelline began to mention them one by one.
"Then what did you eat?"
"I eat people!"
Hearing Cyrano's words, Medelline stood up, and stepped back. The girl was scared. Then, the man laughed.
"Stupid! Some Mermaids do like to eat humans, but I don't. From childhood, I'd rather eat sea plants."
"But I don't have any sea plants."
"I want to try that!"
Cyrano pointed at a dark and hard red object. He asked Medelline to come closer, tapping on the object with his sharp fingernail.
"This what?"
"Apple! I really like to eat this fruit."
"Fruit?"
"Yes, try. You'll know what it's like and like."
Cyrano spouted out the thing he ate. Looked at him with astonishment.
"What kind of feeling is this? Why do you like it?"
"Acid, sweet and a little gummy. I like that taste. Try to eat more."
Cyrano shook his head, he asked for another object and bit him one by one. His head continued to shake as he tasted the strange tastes that greeted his tongue. He was happy when he found a food that he could swallow. Green leafy vegetables. It feels full of water.
"Www! You like that vegetable? The lettuce? I don't like it the most." Medelline exclaimed as she watched Cyrano eat the vegetables voraciously.
"At least, this is what I can swallow. Others suck!"
Medelline laughs, long time.
"You know? You're like my neighbor's horse in the village. He likes to eat lettuce. Even though it's rotten."
Cyrano did not understand the words of the girl before him. He chewed the food in his hand.
"Oh yeah, does a Mermaid or a Merman have a name?"
"Of course!"
"Then what's your name?"
"Cyrano!"
"I'm Medelline."
Medelline reached out to shake Cyrano's hand. But the man just looked at him.
"Humans shake the hand of other humans when they first meet or get acquainted" Medelline said.
"Like this?" Cyrano stuck out his hand.
Medelline sat leaning against the box. In the girl's hand were many picture papers. Cyrano, in the box, looked at the pictures.
"That's mermaid? You painted all this?"
Medelline nodded.
"You know? My father and I were almost dead. Then, a handsome Mermaid, saved us."
For a moment, Medelline fell silent. Then he flinched. Pasting the painting on Cyrano's face. Both his eyes were wide.
