Episode 4 - Elections

Micheal did not lie when he said he was lost while looking for a toilet, as this was the first time Micheal had entered Zenwa's house more than the living room. After finishing his wish, Micheal returned to the living room and there were already two cups of tea and a plate of biscuits that were served to Micheal and Abi Hamka were also still there.

"Sorry, Om. I went the wrong way, I thought turning right turned left" Micheal said, sitting in his back seat.

"Right turn? There's Arin and Zenwa's room" Abi Hamka said.

"Yes, I saw them before" Michael replied softly and he remembered what Zenwa had said, while Abi Hamka was shocked and did not know what to say, because this is the first time a man has wandered and got lost in his house. Abi Hamka had never allowed a foreign man to enter her home, let alone approach her two daughters' rooms.

"Lora Micheal, if Om may ask, do you really want to propose Zenwa a long time ago?" abi Hamka asked later because he also wanted to know Micheal's true feelings.

"Did not the Prophet say 'Women are usually married for four reasons: because of their property, because of their position, because of their face, and because of their religion. So you must choose a good woman of her religion (his Islam). If not, you will lose.' (HR Bukhari Number 5090, Muslim 1466). I saw Zenwa as having all 4 criteria, so I was confident in my choice and that was in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet." Michael's answer could no longer make Abi Hamka speechless, as a father, as a father, he also wants a good partner for his daughter and Michael also has four criteria that are in accordance with the advice of the Prophet.

"In Shaa Allah, Son. Hopefully Zenwa can be a good wife for you and a good mother for your children in the future" said Abi Hamka who makes Micheal can only smile thinly.

While Zenwa was preparing to meet Micheal and he heard Micheal's answer to his father's question, but somehow Zenwa remained dissatisfied with the answer. Zenwa slowly approached his father and sat down next to his father.

Although Zenwa was upset because of Micheal earlier, Zenwa still felt embarrassed when dealing directly with Micheal and he looked down deeply. Zenwa's clothes had changed, he wore a blue shar'i robe with a wide hijab that covered part of his body.

"Assalamualaikum, Zenwa." Michael spoke in a voice that felt heavy.

"What's so important about making you come to my house this early, Lora Micheal?" zenwa asked then without even raising her face.

"Both of my parents from Jakarta are coming today because yesterday they couldn't come, they want to see you" said Michael.

"I haven't decided on your proposal, Lora Micheal." said Zenwa, who was still lowered, Micheal smiled faintly at Zenwa's reply.

"I know, I didn't urge you to accept your proposal, Zenwa. They come just to get to know you and have a little chat with you" Micheal said, upsetting Zenwa.

Micheal and his family did not urge Zenwa and her family to accept Micheal's proposal, giving them time to think about it carefully.

"I don't think I can" chirped Zenwa as she glanced at Abinya, but Abinya seemed to have no problem with Zenwa's refusal.

"Alright, I'm not forcing you," said Micheal then "I'll have them come here later, because they bring you souvenirs" he continued, which made Zenwa's pupils instantly dilate perfectly, Abi Hamka was also surprised and he immediately looked at Zenwa.

"Ba_well, I'll meet them," said Zenwa finally and Micheal just nodded his head. Until finally Micheal's gaze was fixed on Arin who had been watching them from afar, immediately the look of Micheal's face became grim, his gaze was so sweet but Arin actually threw her sweet smile at Micheal, as if saying 'Everything will be fine.'
