CHAPTER 11

March 22, 2003

Today at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles the traffic is very heavy. All the fancy cars are coming for the Oscar red carpet. All the famous stars arrive for the most famous and prestigious award-winning show.

A month ago Jameson received an invitation from the Oscars because their film was chosen in four different categories. Jameson is very happy and Valentina is proud of John.

Soon a Mercedes luxury car arrived at the Oscars and from there out three men. John was wearing a black suit and his father Jameson was wearing a well-fitting gray suit. Valentina refused to join them at first because she was only a nanny for John but John forced her to join them for Oscar.

Valentina today is wearing a very beautiful red dress that Jameson bought for her. He looked embarrassed as this was his first time attending a high-class meeting. John took her hand and brought her inside.

The reporters tried to get the word out of John because he was the family's main focal point. John somehow dodged their lenses and was brought in by the bodyguards.

"Dad, this is how journalists work for all news companies." John complained to his father. Jameson only gave her an ugly smile but did not refute it because he knew their nature to the bone.

Soon the event began with all its splendor and majesty. In the audience, John is shocked to see Tony Stark. He came up with a famous star to the Oscars.

"The playboy's path is still long to change itself. I hope my butterfly effect doesn't affect his transformation into Iron Man. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure the Supreme Mage will come after me and dump me." John thought to himself. As he looked through the audience, he searched whether he could find a famous star from his previous life. He saw another acquaintance and his eyes sparkled.

On the other side of the line he saw Kingo, one of the immortals. Kingo probably came for one of his movies because he is a Bollywood royalty. His heart was racing just by looking at it. He knows what the eternal represents in this world. The angels and their soldiers. The eternal is essentially responsible for the progress of mankind in its early phase until the death of all perverts. Well, until the truth comes out for them.

Kingo could feel someone was watching him so he moved his head to look and he found that a 12-13 year old boy was staring at him. He was pretty sure he had never met her before, but in the eyes of the boy he could feel that the boy knew her. John smiled at Kingo and moved his head. Kingo did not pay much attention to the boy and being immortal he had his own arrogance. He will never look at humans.

"So this year there might only be one movie that could top the list." The host said with a big smile.

"Well, if you don't ask your child to watch this movie, then I'm sorry that you don't qualify as a parent." Co-host added with a wide laugh.

The audience laughed after hearing this. "There is certainly no tension in this category. The best animated movie is 'The Lion King'. May I welcome Mr. John to the stage."

John stood up and took to the stage with a confident pace. After holding a famous Oscar award, she could not believe her own destiny. He went from being a nobody in his previous life to winning an Oscar in this world. After watching the award for a few seconds, he said,

“Halo everyone, almost half a year ago I made a speech to achieve my dream with the help of everyone present at the time and this time I will say the same. Thank you all for helping me in achieving my dream and wish you all would help me on this journey and I promise you that I will continue to entertain you and give you joy and happiness. Thus, here is a glimpse of my work in the future. Hope you like it." John said and immediately the lights of the entire hall went out.

And the screen at the end of the stage lit up. And soon the image started rolling on the screen. It's a Toy Story and Aladdin trailer. It was like life and people were cheering for the upcoming movie.

“Although the work of these films is not yet finished will be shown in theaters soon. Once again I will thank my father Val, the directors and all of you who have supported me and want to continue this journey further. Thank you !" John finished his speech with it.

Jameson and Val are both proud of his work and hard work. They know how much work he has done for his ideas. After this, 'The Lion King' won two more awards but this time only Jameson received them. He even made a speech saying that his son might become richer than him before he turned 18. Everyone laughs at this joke.

The ceremony ended with an afterparty and John even talked a little with Tony but said nothing out of fear of the butterfly effect and kept his distance from Kingo for feeling vulnerable before him.
