CHAPTER 15

On the morning of August 5, there was a meeting between John and Disney management for a new route to the company. This time only Val accompanied him and Jameson did not join because he felt his son was old enough to make a big decision.

Early in the morning he came into the studio and met with all the senior management and they were all sitting in the meeting room.

"As I have informed before, the company will now start making sci-fi and even real-life movies. But the story and the script of the film must always go through me. Most of the manuscripts will be proposed by me and if any of the scriptwriters hired by the company produce a reliable story, I will consider it" John said. Disney had always been completely controlled by John because he did not want any public or outside interference. He has the final say in the studio, although Bob handles all management issues but the final decision is still in John's hands.

"I know you're all too excited for this, so here I've got a story for you. And to let you know that Kevin will be taking on a new role at the company as the head of a Disney subsidiary. Disney will never interfere in Kevin's work. Disney will only be responsible for providing the necessary funds and teams to carry out its plans" John added. This new information surprised everyone, even Kevin. Although John once mentioned it vaguely that he had other plans for her, but Kevin did not expect that she had such a grand plan for him.

Having a subsidiary will give him total freedom and he can do whatever he wants. It's basically a dream job for him from being a small producer to leading a Disney subsidiary. Although she was not sure what John's plans were for her, but she was looking forward to it.

Bob did not heed this new command too much because Disney would eventually remain his boss.

After that, Bob started looking through the script and instantly got him excited after reading the entire plot. Such an ambitious project had never been taken before by any studio and he was confident that if he could execute it perfectly, it would be a very successful film.

The film required a large team of VFX artists, but Disney now has great control over many companies and has great influence. It will be easier to hire a good VFX artist.

"I know this film does not have as much potential as other animated films but this could be considered a small step. You can choose any director but the final cut of the film has to go through me. And yes don't blast too many scenes in the movie. Try to make it a little realistic but quite futuristic. I've drawn all the characters and even some fight scenes" John said.

"And yes finish the film in 6 months and it's non-negotiable" John added.

After a proper discussion about the film and the whole process, everyone left except Kevin. John wanted to talk to her in private

"Kevin, I want to introduce a story with a new theme. I want you to lead a big project and this includes superheroes" John told Kevin.

"Superhero? Like Captain America?" asked Kevin with raised eyebrows.

"Yes like Captain America, these superheroes will form teams and defend humanity in the film, just like Captain America. This is a big project and will last for years. I hope you are mentally prepared for that" John said.

"certain Boss. I would be happy to accept this project. But do you have a story?" ask Kevin with enthusiasm.

Soon John handed the script to Kevin and said, "Take your time. Complete the project before mid-2008 and bring in director Christopher Nolan. I heard he's a great director."

"Sure boss". After going through the story he was a little surprised because the beginning of the story was almost exactly like Tony Stark but the trajectory of his life changed completely and turned into a superhero. And what surprised him even more was the time he got for this story, which was almost a year over but he was happy because he could change things as needed.

Kevin can see great potential with the script and is looking forward to working on it. John smiles at her because he knows that things are about to change and he looks forward to it.
