Batman asks about Harvey's location with a threatening voice and the Joker gives the option to save Rachel or Harvey. Batman chooses Harvey to be saved while Gordon chooses Rachel. But Gordon can't save Rachel. The Joker meanwhile manages to escape from prison.
Harvey, half-faced with a fire, is found by the Joker and drives him mad. Harvey goes crazy and starts hunting down everyone who can't save Rachel and who colludes with the gang and does bad things. Even Batman himself crossed ethical lines and hacked every cell phone to find the Joker's location. In the end the Joker played the game again. The choice was given to two boats, one with civilians and the other with prisoners. They had to blow up another boat with a switch because otherwise the joker would blow it up.
And the Joker for the first time failed to manipulate people and was caught by Batman. In another scene Harvey catches Gordon's family. When Harvey is about to kill Gordon, Batman comes and kills Harvey.
"We need to tell the truth to Harvey's people" Gordon told Batman.
"No. Harvey will remain an image of justice. I will bear the brunt of evil" Batman said without hesitation.
"But you will be hunted" Gordon said.
"I'm not a hero. I'm whatever Gotham needs. Sometimes the truth isn't good enough." Batman said and ran away. People finally understood why the film was named Dark Knight. He was a power operating in the shadows. People feel sympathy for him. Even Nick Fury and Coulson who watched the film felt sorry for Batman. His sacrifice is huge.
Credit rolling and soon the post-credit scene out. It shows today Paris, France. A woman walks towards the Louvre Museum while telling her from the background.
"I used to want to save the world, this beautiful place. But I'm naive. The closer you are, the more darkness you will see...."
As the woman entered her office, a black suitcase arrived with the words Wayne Enterprises with bold letters on it. He opened the suitcase to look at a very old photo. The picture features 4 soldiers standing side by side on a broken battlefield. And then there was a woman standing in the middle. The problem is that the woman in the photo looks exactly the same as the one holding the photo. He smiled after seeing the photo.
The audience understands that Batman knows this mysterious woman but people do not understand why these two women look the same. Tony looked at Bruce for a few seconds and said
"I don't know. I just saw it in my dreams. I don't know if he'll be moved" John said. Bruce did not say anything but remained silent and closed his eyes as if thinking of something.
The film received a huge applause. This is a film that does not hesitate to show how the public treats superheroes when something goes wrong. The film is based on a bold theme and makes people realize that being a hero comes with responsibilities.
Nick and Coulson approach John after they get out. They wanted to know if this 'woman' would show up. John answered just as he did Bruce. John did not want to reveal too much of his strength. Too many revelations will be prone to error. He wanted to keep a sense of mystery.
"I want to know more about this character" Fury said at the end as he felt the need to know more about this 'woman.
"Why rush? Even if he came, it would be far in the future. You'll know him from the movie" John said. Nick can always press John for more information but he doesn't want to. He didn't even put a spy on Disney. John always said that he had a glimpse of the future in his dreams in another universe. He did not want to take any risks and maintain goodwill.
They return after the film ends and John receives a message while riding Bumblebee.
"How's film? Sorry I couldn't attend the premiere."
John simply smiled after reading and replied, "It's okay. I'm coming for the premiere of Deathly Hollows Part 1. Book me a seat."
"Sure" Emma replied with a smiling face.
The months passed gradually after the release of the film. The film produced numerous box office hits and received critical acclaim with a very high rating. Although it did not greatly increase the value of its fans as it was just a Batman movie but this movie is necessary for its future plans and attracts the public attention.
