"Cute? What's for?"
"Now it's winter. So, wear the blanket so that you are always warm and do not catch a cold. Let's just say .. The blanket is me."
Ameera snorted resignedly. He glanced at Farhan who was still putting on a sweet smile at him. In fact, the smile did not even fade.
"Farhan, have you always been like this? Bombing every woman?" ameera asked, looking at Farhan closely.
"Not really. But, arguably, the most romantic, it's still with you" he said. His face still put on a smiley face even though in his heart growled furiously.
Ameera, you were never sensitive. Even if I do anything. You don't know, as long as I've known you, I've ignored all the women trying to get close.
"Basic!"
"Then I go home" said Farhan, who was answered with a nod by Ameera.
"It seems like you're very happy that I'm coming home now" Farhan said, making Ameera misbehave.
"Aren't you the one going home? You can say that if I throw you out, Farhan!" answer Ameera.
******
It's been three weeks since Ameera's divorce.
Farhan and Dion always come to Ameera's house, interrupting her time.
Sometimes they come together, sometimes alternately.
Ameera does live her days well, but her feelings for Dion, still remain the same. I don't know what Dion has given me, until Ameera can't just forget the man.
As today, Dion was begging, resting at Ameera's feet to be willing to return to her. Because Ameera had thought to cancel her marriage to Farhan.
"Mas Dion, haven't you also been introduced to Risa?" ameera's words made Dion very surprised.
"Well, where do you know, Ameera?" his tan began to stutter.
"Your mother introduced me to him. Mas, you should be able to accept our situation now. It's not the same" Ameera said, trying to convince Dion.
"Ameera, I know, you still love me. Marry Farhan, so that we can remarry later." pinta Dion very much.
Ameera. Is it this hard to follow a happy path? Does Ameera now have to obey Dion's wishes again? Honestly, his heart said yes. His heart told him to fight a little more, because happiness was already waiting in plain sight.
But Ameera herself is not sure. Though the heart and logic are synchronous. Did he have to fight a little more? Or stop here, and forget everything.
However, when he wanted to make the decision to end it all, his heart and mind raced back. So that the decision does not come from his lips.
So, the decision that Ameera can make, is just to carry on with everything.
"Mas Dion, you must know, right? Every action has consequences. So, you should be able to accept whatever the end of this story is." Ameera paused her sentence, then went back to saying, "Did I finally still love you and come back with you. Or, I close the sheets with you, bury everything about us. And started it all with Mas Farhan" Ameera said seriously.
NYESS
Dion's heart ached hearing Ameera's last words. He knew that every action would have a final consequence. All good destinies cannot side with us alone. Dion realized, what's more, he often did something bitter for Ameera just because he obeyed the wishes of his mother who was clearly wrong. So, how could he possibly hope that his bitter fertilizer would be reciprocated with sweet fruit.
But, we also will not be able to know an end of the story, if not try to live it. All we can do, just go through and wait. How destiny will repay us. Will Ameera's heart move, or will remain anchored in the same dock.
"I knew. I-I'm trying to be ready with everything. But, the purpose of you remarrying is because we're coming back...."
"No, Mas. The reason I got married wasn't for that." Ameera denied, never wanting him to justify that Dion was talking about the purpose of her and Farhan's marriage just to get back to Dion. Just the same, Dion was accusing her of playing with the marriage bond.
Dion pleaded with her, as he knew, Ameera was not a person who could be arranged if not for her own purposes. Ameera had been following her, for Dion was her Husband.
I was so stupid to let Ameera go because of Mom's words. Obviously I love him, obviously I know his nature very well. You're so stupid, Dion!
"I can't keep a promise like that, Mom. I can't possibly not love my future husband" Ameera said.
"Ameera, promise me .. so that my heart may be at ease." again Dion pleaded with both hands clenched. Hope Ameera will feel pity for the umpteenth time.
"Can't, Mas," Ameera refused firmly. "I'm afraid I can't keep that promise. If I force a promise to you, what if I can't keep it? I will be a hypocrite." he replied.
"Whoever I am, I will not be calm at the end. Allah hates the hypocrites. The hypocrites are placed at the very bottom of hell" he explained.
Ameera's answer really pierced Dion's heart, now he doesn't know what else to say.
"alright. But, I just want, you stay consistent with your love, Ameera," said Dion resignedly, but like not discouraging her to remind Ameera to stay true to their love.
"I just wanted to tell you, Mom. If this marriage continues. Next week, after I menstruate, Mas Farhan's family will come to the house to propose to me" Ameera said.
Like being flown by the wind*****pope, Dion's body staggered upon hearing Ameera's phrase.
Now she's completely slapped by reality, that they might never be able to get back together knitting love. Regret, completely perched in his heart.
But, Dion did not give up easily with reality, his hope still billowing in the air, hoping that hope that clumped in the chest, could become a reality.
"Can I come?" Dion asked, with a stifled voice.
"Can. If you want to come, go ahead, Mas" replied Ameera without looking at Dion.
"And after that, we'll also start fitting the wedding dress" he continued, adding to the wound in Dion's heart.
"Let's call me the day for sure, I'll come." Dion reminded me again.
"Yes, Mas" replied Ameera.
"Then, excuse me. There's still work to be done."
Dion said goodbye to Ameera's family and she left. After Dion left, Amran came out. He saw Ameera who sat pensively until the presence of her father was not he realized.
"Meera?" call his father to gently touch Ameera's shoulder.
"Yes, Dad?" Ameera replied in surprise.
"What are you thinking?" ask Arman.
"Nothing, Dad." Ameera shook her head.
"Once in a while, we need to tell the heart that makes us anxious to others. Don't keep it to yourself" Arman gave advice to his Son who always harbored his own problems.
"Dad, I still love Mas Dion." lamented Ameera who began to open her voice.
"Dad knows, Meera," replied Arman.
"So, what should Ameera do, Dad? What should Ameera do?" Ameera's tears started to drip. Truly, he was already unable to bear his own injuries. True, his father said, we must share the wounds of those we trust in order to reduce the injuries.
"Ameera, leave everything to Allah SWT. All the trials of God, and will come back to Him. Pray to Him, may we be strengthened in this trial. Pray that He will give the best for us, and keep away all bad things." Arman said to worry in the heart of his son can be a little reduced.
