And Leona was already tapping Ethan's cell phone while the man was in his apartment so Ethan's movements could be on the beach including Ethan's brief message on his social media account. Leona uses the opportunity she had when Ethan was heavily drunk and slept very soundly at the time. Leona would never do anything half-and-half when she was already planning something.
