This afternoon was very hot, the heat of the sun was stinging to the bottom of the skin. Alma remembered her father who lived alone. Almost every day Alma visited Mr. Rudi. Bring food, buy clothes and give him some money for daily use.
Returning home from school, Alma remembered her father. He stopped his white scoopy drove towards the house occupied by Mr. Rudi.
Arriving there, the house looked quiet, unlike usual, the front door was tightly closed, the porch lights were still on.
"Assalamualaikum," cried Alma as she knocked on the door. Alma screamed a few times but there was no answer.
'Where's Dad? Why so quiet? Tumben porch lights are not turned off until noon gini. I checked through the side door.'
Alma put her foot to the side of the house, and the door was closed. All the front and side windows of the house are also closed.
"Dad! Daddy!!!" Alma screamed again after reaching the window of her father's still-closed room. But the call of this panicked woman turned out to be futile.
'Did Dad go out of the house? I'd better ask the next door neighbor, maybe someone knows where you're going.'
Yunan's wife hurriedly stepped towards the house of Rahmi's mother who happened to be the owner of the house was sitting on the terrace.
"Sorry, Rahmi's mom. Do you know where my dad went? Because the door I knocked many times there was no answer," asked Alma politely.
"I don't know, Miss Alma. As far as I know, Alma's father has never been anywhere. He usually sits on the terrace in the morning, sometimes greeting neighbors who pass by. But I didn't see it this morning, Mom." Answer Rahmi's mother.
"Oo. Thank you, if that's what I'll excuse you first" said Alma.
Alma moved her foot home again. His face looked very panicked, as he had not been able to find his father.
'Do I just break down the side door. Let me know what really happened. If you go, where do you go? There was no place my father could go.'
Brak! Brak! Brak!!!
'It's hard to open, my energy is not strong to break this door. What am I supposed to do? Oh yeah. I'll just call dad.'
Alma looked for her phone stored in a black sling bag on her left shoulder.
Tut. tut's...
'My phone is not active. How's this??? Hmm.. I just call Mas Yunan, may no longer be busy.
Moments later...
(Hello.... Mas)
(Yes, what's up, honey)
(I'm now visiting Dad, but the doors and windows are all closed. I asked the neighbors, he said he had not seen me out of the house all day. This was me trying to break down the side door, but my energy is not strong, Mas) said Alma.
(Hopefully nothing bad happened to Dad. You wait there! I will be up to thirty minutes away) said Yunan.
(Yes, Mas) replied Alma briefly. He immediately hung up the phone with a trembling hand.
'Why is my feeling bad, huh??? Not like my usual dad like this. What happened to you, Dad???'
Alma could do nothing, she was just pacing around her house that afternoon. Sit down, then stand up, to reduce the panic. His eyes swept across all the windows that were still closed.
'There's a chair. I'll go up and look in between the side door fentilations. You can probably see the situation inside the house.'
The woman who was still in the uniform was not desperate. Once the chair is placed in front of the door, then its legs begin to rise above it. Furthermore, his two eyes began to sweep all corners of the middle room that he could peek at.
'All the lights are still on. Oh my God.. Where is dad??? Why is there no sound in the house???'
While waiting for the presence of her husband who was still on the way, she continued her curiosity and grief.
Alma got down from the chair, then brought her chair to the back door. Yunan's wife then put her body back on the chair. He stood upright on his tiptoes, in order to see something in the house that could be a clue.
Alma was panicking. His legs were shaking until he fell down while coming down from the chair.
"Ouch.." cried Alma as she staggered to straighten her body. Hurriedly he sat on the chair while blowing his slightly bloody legs.
Suddenly a black lotus evija stopped in front of Alma's house. The woman who had been panicking earlier, finally began to calm down with the arrival of Yunan who had stepped towards the side door, where she sat waiting for him.
"Thank God, you've come, Mom." Welcomed Alma with a sweet smile, but seemed panicked that he could not cover. Not to forget Alma kissed her husband's right palm with reverence.
"Is there a lead, honey?" yunan asked as her gaze swept around the house.
"No, Mas. I've been climbing in a chair, trying to look inside, but there's no clue. And there was no sound from inside. Did we just break this door, Mas???" Alma's proposal to her husband.
"Hmm. We try to break down the door, if so. Help me, baby." Yunan said as he mounted the horses and rolled up his sleeves.
"Yes, Mas" Alma replied with a long sigh.
"One, two, three" said Yunan.
BRAK!!!
Yunan's feet hit the door with all their might, trying to forcefully open the door.
Finally the door can be opened, even though the door became damaged due to a very hard hit.
"It's open, Mom." Alma immediately followed Yunan's steps. With his breath still stinginging, Yunan began to step into the house.
"Dad... Fathering... Where's dad???" alma shouted increasingly into the house. But still no answer.
Then Alma moved to her father's room.
Chequelek
'Daddy's room is not in the key, but.... in the room, dad is not there???'
As Yunan steps into the kitchen, she is unable to find Alma's father. Then his eyes looked at the closed bathroom door. His footsteps accelerated towards there. Then...
Chequelek
"A.Yeah... My God, what happened to Dad???" yunan shouted that found Mr. Rudi lying in the bathroom with his face down.
"Almaa... Dad's here!!!" Yunan raised her voice, calling Alma who was still in her father's room.
Hearing her husband's scream, Alma flinched and immediately turned her back towards the bathroom.
Upon arriving and seeing her father's helpless body, Alma was wide-eyed and her body trembled, "Oh my God... Why is Dad like this???"
"Let's lift up the body of the father" Invite Yunan who began to panic, found the body of Mr. Rudi who had been limp with his eyes closed.
"Are you still alive, Mas???" Alma asked while holding back tears.
Hunan rush to check the pulse on the neck and wrists of Mr. Rudi.
"There's still a pulse, but it's very weak. Let's get you to the car!" Yunan's word to Alma who was still standing was fixedly staring at her voiceless father.
Although heavy, Alma tried to lift his father's body on the legs, while Yunan lifted on the back and head.
'Oh my God, I hope you can be saved. I don't know what really happened. Why did you not wake up in the bathroom. Though yesterday, when I visited my father, he seemed healthy and did not complain about anything.' (Alma in the heart).
