Refusal

After the meeting Umbara approached his father who was sitting relaxed in the living room of his apartment while reading a newspaper.

"Pa, I'd like to talk for a second," he sat across from his father.

"If you want to talk about the girl, you already know the answer." she replied without turning her head in the slightest

"Can't you judge someone by his nature? Why should one look at one's wealth." His protest.

Mr. Danu is still focused on his newspaper being read.

"Papa doesn't care. I've chosen a girl for you and you know her. Don't make this relationship complicated." He said he was still focused on the newspaper.

Umbara clenched both his hands tightly. "But I never loved her, Pa. I just think of him as my brother."

Danu sir folded his newspaper. He then raised his right leg resting on his left leg.

"Love will come by itself if you allow your heart to open." Reply with a serious tone.

Umbara clenched his teeth holding back the anger that began to erupt. He got up from his seat and wanted to leave his father.

"I don't care about that girl. Papa won't forbid if you want to have fun with him. As long as you don't get her pregnant." Reply Mr. Danu cynically.

Umbara did not turn around. His eyes darkened. He was very angry at his father. His father could have said that. Maretha is a good girl and deserves to fight.

"That's exactly what I wanted to do so that Papa would have no reason to refuse it anymore." Challenge Umbara turned her eyes on her father without turning her body. He looked hard at his father.

"Tambara! You!," growled Mr. Danu standing from his seat.

Umbara did not care about his father's screams. He kept walking out of his apartment leaving his father. Amara who had witnessed the debate between her son and father could not do anything. He could only cover his mouth with both of his hands and shed tears at their sparring.

Umbara glanced at his mother, and smiled at her. "I'm sorry Bara, Ma can't take you to the airport." Umbara spoke softly to her mother.

Amara calmed her choked breath. He tried to smile with his son. "Mama knows. You're careful." Hugged his son back.

Umbara left without regard to his father's words. He was very angry, but he could do nothing.

"You why Mas? There was a matter of ap," asked Maretha, watching Umbara's more silent attitude with an annoyed look in his eyes.

Currently they are enjoying lunch together at the Campus Cafe.

Umbara did not respond. Maratha stroked the back of Umbara's hand. "Well, if you don't want to tell a story. But please temper your anger whatever that's the reason. You don't hold a grudge." Mareth's advice understood his gaze.

Umbara turned his head, he held Martha's hand. "You always understand me even if I don't tell you" she said, kissing the back of her hand.

Martha smiled, "I know Mas. But please don't take revenge on your father. He has the right to reject me. Every parent wants the best for their child." And again Martha.

Umbara bowed lethargic. "I'm okay, Mom. If indeed we have fought for Papa Mas Bara to accept then one day he refused. Maybe we should stop then."

Martha took a breath. "And if indeed we are destined to be together, as hard as Papa Mas refused one day he will give his blessing."

"Right now I want to fight with Mas Bara so that he will accept me" he said at length.

Umbara smiled and stroked Maratha's cheeks. He felt very happy because the woman he loved was very understanding and reassured his heart.

The two of them never gave up so that Umbara's father could bless him. Martha proved herself worthy of being Umbara's lover. Until finally Umbara finished his college and was running his father's company. And Martha has also been proposed by a large company in Indonesia in the field of Garment and Advertising as a Business Management Consultant even though the lecture has not been completed.

Umbara went back and forth to Australia to meet with Mareth. Many obstacles to their relationship and eventually they can slowly pass. Except for the attitude of Umbara's father who still did not accept Maretha as his son's lover. Although Amelia and Mas Danang guarantee about the identity and identity of his sister.

In two days, Mareth will be at graduation. Mother, Amel and Mas Danang have come as a family to attend the event. They lived in the apartment owned by the Amel family because the house they lived in during college was fully occupied by Lisda and his family who were also present.

"Don't know if the deck you finally graduated too." Said Amel who was feeding his 2-year-old son Kevin.

"This is also thanks to the support of Mbak and Mas Danang." continued Maretha hugging Mother's waist.

"I can't wait to see you on stage for the achievements you achieved on the deck" continued Mas Danang who just joined them.

"What the hell is Mas Danang." Reply Mareth blushing.

Mother rubbed her head, "Alhamdulillah. Mommy is grateful to be able to take care of you like this." He said he was moved and started to tear up.

Martha raised her head and wiped the tears that began to fall in the eyes of Mother. "I am the one who is Bun. Thanks to your affection I can be like this." he said and then kissed Mother's cheeks alternately.

Mas Danang also hugged Mother. Amel was moved to see that simple happiness.

"Because there's no graduation tomorrow?" asked Amel.

Martha let go of her embrace. "Don't know the hell, Ma'am. I don't think he's coming because he's busy, too." The answer.

Amel gave only an ordinary expression.

Graduation day arrived. Martha was accompanied by Mommy, Amel, Mas Danang and Kevin. They're very happy. Lisda was also present with her parents. Umbara also attended the Maratha graduation ceremony. She prepares a large flower bucket for her lover's graduation.

Graduation event went well. All students look beautiful today is no exception Lisda who is usually indifferent to appearance. The Rector and his staff give awards to all students who excel in both academic and non-academic fields.

Lisda also received an award for her Science research that she had done. Maretha was also awarded for her achievements in the academic field which is considered fantastic, including awards for having been accepted in large companies as the youngest Business Management Consultant. Martha also got Cumlaude because she was able to complete her studies for only 3 years.

Actually, Mareth attended the graduation ceremony a year ago which coincided with Umbara. It's just that Martha refused, she wanted to do graduation with her classmate. So for a year that Mareth worked at the company with the position he currently holds.

After the graduation ceremony was over they did a photo session together. Martha and the family came out of the campus hall. Umbara was waiting for him in front.

Umbara approached Mareth who had just come out of the Hall. She stumbled over a smile, with a flower bucket in her hand.

Mother, Amel and Mas Danang only saw the two of them.

"Congratulations on your graduation." Umbara gave her a beautiful flower bucket.

Maratha received the flower bucket with a smile and crisp. "Thank you, Mas." he said happily.

Then Umbara knelt down in front of him, he took out the blue-colored city from his pants pocket. Then open. A ring with a small diamond in the middle.

Maretha closed her mouth with both hands. And happy tears flowed in his eyes.

"Marcha Septin Aura. I Love You, I wish we could live together forever. We can get through all the problems together. I hope you become the mother of my children someday."

Umbara took a pause and breathed. "Will you marry me?" said Umbara solemnly.

Martha smiled happily, "Yes!," she replied with happy tears on her face.

Umbara pinned the ring on his ring finger, then kissed the back of his hand fondly.

Umbara got up and hugged him tightly. "I love you, Re." whispered Umbara in Maretha's ear.

"I love you too, Mas Bara." she replied.

Lisda who witnessed the scene immediately approached her best friend and hugged him and congratulated him.

Mother, Amel and Mas Danang also congratulated the proposal made by Umbara.

They're all happy. Today passed with a cheerful smile and laughter. Umbara showed her determination to marry Martha even though her father had not accepted her wholeheartedly.
