After the wedding, Amel and Danang plan a honeymoon to Seoul, South Korea and Japan. Martha and her companions return to the village to carry out the final exam.
During the preparation ahead of the exam, Maratha and her best friends always studied together intensely, especially for Alisya. He had to study harder than other friends because his grades were the lowest among them. Mareth faithfully taught him patiently and diligently.
“Re, I'm a little scared. Later I pass not anyway?,” he said pessimistic and slightly pouting face. Martha smiled wryly, “No need to be pessimistic, I'm sure you must pass. As long as you try.” He said encouragingly.
The exams finally came. Alisya, Aksar and Maratha they are in one class. Vena and Ridwan are in the same class. They took the exam for 3 consecutive days quietly. Before entering class they always meet on the school basketball court, sitting on his lap. “This will be our last day of exams, we run out of this we yuk!,” invite Vena.
“Agree!,” says they are compact.
Then the bell rang. They also entered their own classes. After the exam was over, they agreed to gather in the school cafeteria. Martha and Alisya just got out of class, then one of the teachers called Maretha, “Re, you come with mom to the secretary room yes there is an important thing to tell.” Word
Ningsih's mother as their walikelas. “Eh yes ma'am, what's the matter?,” Maratha frowned asking.
“Later also know,” invite Mother Ningsih again step first to the secretary room.
Alisya also asked in Mareth, “You feel wrong no?,” asked suspiciously and Mareth raised both shoulders,”No!.” The reply.
“Yes already, I followed bu Ningsih to the secretary room first. Yes!,”. “Let me follow to your place.” Add it again and then walk towards the secretary room.
Alisya followed where her friends gathered in the school cafeteria. “Loh kok itself, Rere where?,” asked Vena when she saw Alisya coming alone. Alisya sat in front of them, “Then the time out of class, Rere was called the same bu Ningsih he said told the secret room. There is something important he said to talk about.”It is clear.
Fitri turned her sitting position facing Alisya, “Emang what the hell?,” her curious ask brought her face closer to Alisya. He was singing his lips, “Gaku, bu Ningsih also did not say anything,” said.
They were all curious as to the reason why Maratha was summoned by the chief. The only thing was that they had to ask in person at Martha herself.
While in the room kepsek Maretha sat next to Bu Ningsih. Martha looked agitated and a little worried, because the face of Zaenab's mother looked serious when she looked at him.
“Rere, have you ever applied for a scholarship in Australia?,” asked Ms Zaenab with a serious look.
Martha held her own hands on her thighs, “Iya ma'am. A month ago I tried applying University of Sydney bu.” His reply and it made Mother Zaenab's expression look delighted.
He hugged Mareth proudly, “Happy son, your request was accepted and in 2 weeks you have to go there to do the final test.” He said with teary eyes.
Zaenab's mother looked very happy, because this was the first thing that happened in the history of her school. For the first time there are students who apply for outstanding scholarships to universities and even abroad. Though their school is not in the city just in the village (suburbs). Mother Ningsih closed
his mouth was amazed to hear it, “Congratulations Re, I'm very proud of you,” he said hugging Martha also with great affection.
Martha smiled crisply, “But, I'm not necessarily welcome ma'am. Kan still have to test again,” he said pessimistic down. Ibu Ningsih stroked the hair of Maratha who was scattered with love, “You are accepted or not later this is also a great pride for us. But we believe in you. You are a smart kid and can definitely pass.” His advice encouraged Martha to remain optimistic.
“Iya mother also agrees with Mother Ningsih's words, you don't be pessimistic dong. Must remain optimistic yes!,” added Ibu Zaenab again clenched both hands with vigor. Then he presented a white envelope containing letterhead from the campus to Martha, “This is his notification letter.
Sorry if I had read it first because this letter is intended for school. Later I will see your name in.” He was holding the amlop.
Maratha received it and then said goodbye to them, “I said yes ma'am. Thank you for encouraging me.” His smile then kissed the backs of their hands in turn. Martha continued to develop a crisp and cheerful smile. He did not cease to thank God for the glad tidings he received. He could not wait to tell Mother, Ibu Citra, Mas Danang and Mbak Amel and of course to his friends.
Martha deliberately put on a frown when she saw her friends who were still sitting faithfully waiting for her in the cafeteria. Then he walked to their bench, “Re, what's the matter?,” asked Alisya to help him sit on the bench beside him.
“What the hell is it? Don't you usually pout gini?,” thought Alisya with a frown
kenyans.
Vena grabbed Maretha's hand and rubbed it slowly,”Stories dong same us, Re. Don't
diem gini,” he added again with the intention of encouraging him.
Aksar and Ridwan were no less worried they were agitated and stood up while clenching their hands while occasionally scratching their non-itchy nape.
After feeling reassured by the expressions of her worried friends, Martha took out an envelope from inside her bag and placed it on the table. Before returning, Mareth asked for a white envelope from the secretary mother. So the envelope that now has no coffee. “So Mother Principal and Ibu Ningsih gave me this,” she said with a sad face.
Vein frowned, “This is what envelope?,” he said then took the envelope. Aksar and Ridwan approach Vena to open the envelope. Vena opened it slowly,“Serious?,”tanyanya with a crisp smile on her face. Aksar and Ridwan widened their faces. Fitri and Alisya were curious, they also read the letter. Then they were hysterical, “Rereeeeeeeee, I swear you know us.” Alisya immediately hugged him with vigor.
“Congratulations yes you have been accepted.” Vein hugged him too. Fitri also hugged him,“I swear, we are very happy to hear it,” they hug each other. Aksar and Ridwan both regretted it and congratulated him.
“Oh yes you will go to Aussie with whom?,” asked Vena suddenly. Martha shook her head, “Not yet, Ven. I want to tell mom first,” she replied.
“Kalo later do not know who nemenin or do not know yet want to live where you know me yes, I happen to have friends who study there. He is good, and certainly want to help you,” explained Vena.
Alisya chimed, “Which friend are you?,” asked. Vena smiled and she scratched her non-itchy head, “His daughter is papi's friend,” she replied honestly. Alisya understands.
They continued their plans to watch the movie together. Enjoy their time together which will soon be difficult to meet. Martha immediately met the mother when entering the house, she then gave the envelope to the mother. Then tell Mas Danang. Welcome to him, either directly or via message.
The next morning Mas Danang and Amel came to visit the Orphanage, they all wanted to congratulate his sister and also give gifts for her.
“Mas Danang same Mbak Amel really bother coming here,” said Maretha when they have sat sweetly in the chair in the guest room.
“We never bother, besides we are happy that our sister can get a scholarship to study abroad especially in Australia.” Amel also spoke. Martha bowed shyly, “Not yet, there is still an entrance exam.” Mareth still hesitates about graduating.
After drinking coffee made by Ibu Citra, Mas Danang put his cup back on the table. “Where to stay in Australia?,” tanya staring Maretha. “Not yet, Mas.” Answer shook. Maratha wet her lips, “Maybe I'll stay with her friend Vena,” she said slowly not sure will be able to be comfortable with friends Vena.
“What girl is a guy?,” attack Mother on her want to know. “Cowok bun.” And the answer managed to make the Mother's view dim and there are signs of worry in it.
This time Mas Danang crossed his legs and leaned his back on the chair. “Kalo so let Amel alone nemenin you later in Australia. All looking for a place to stay for you if you pass the exam.”
Martha bright smile, “Really? Why not take it?,” asked. Amel stroked Maratha's cheeks affectionately, “Yes no dear. I happen to have a little business there too. So all of you test right!,” clearly.
All agreed that Mareth would be delivered by Amel to Australia. Then they also take care of passports and visas for Maretha in order to come according to the schedule written on the invitation letter of the test call.
***
Martha and Amel left for Australia two days before the test. They stayed at a hotel near the campus, Mareth accompanied by Amel to see the condition of the campus is very spacious and very beautiful. Martha seemed to fall in love with this campus and her passion to pass the exam grew bigger.
When the exam time came, Maretha came earlier than the scheduled time she had read some books when she arrived in the country. He took time to read in the library even though he had a little trouble finding the place.
Martha entered the classroom and showed her ID Card and Test Invitation Letter to the supervisor and she showed her seat which was in the second row from the right. Martha sat down and noticed some other students who also entered the room. There are many students from different countries.
The exam lasted for 2 hours, and Mareth handed over her exam papers to the supervisor and walked out of class. Then someone greeted him who also happened to be one of his friends when he attended the Science Competition in Jakarta. “Hai, you are Maratha right?,” greet the girl with choppy hair and glasses who always perched on her nose. Martha frowned trying to remember the girl, “Hai, yes. Kamu—Lisda from SMA Cahaya.” The reply was remembering the girl.
“Gak thought it turns out you got an invitation too huh?,” asked the girl happily. “Iya,” he said nodding. Finally, they discussed their plans when they both passed this test. Then the mobile phone Maretha rang she saw on her screen written the name ‘Mbak Amel’.
“Excuse me, I answer ya.” first He said he got out of his seat and shifted his call.
“Assalamualaikum, Ma'am!,” sweep
“You have finished the test?,” asked Amel whose voice sounded from across the phone.
“Iya Mbak, already 20 minutes ago.” He answered and made Amel have to pat his eel because it was too late to pick up his sister.
“Open, sorry yes deck. You wait for a moment. Mbak now pick you up.” The reply.
“Do not hurry, Ma'am. I met a friend here. We talked a lot, so if you still have business it's okay. If it is still a long time, I will go to the library aja.” Katnaya again and they ended their conversation.
Martha sat down next to Lisda again, then they continued their longer conversation. Then Lisda had to leave Martha because her invitation had come. “Re, I first yes!,” his farewell looked at Lisda's back which then disappeared from her sight.
Like the original plan, Martha wanted to walk to the library to ask Amel to pick her up then subconsciously she was hit by someone who almost made her fall but the man's hand quickly pulled her body and made her face hit the chest of the manthat guy's. “Sorry!,” said the man let go of Martha.
Martha is still down. He nodded his head, “It’s Okay,” replied with a smile. Then he walked past the man without seeing him.
“Hi... Excuse me!.” Call someone running towards her and she spontaneously turns around.
BUGH!!
Again Mareth had to hit the man's chest because he suddenly turned around. “Auw, sick!,” groaned in a soft voice rubbing his nose.
The man retreated, and chuckled at his slightly ridiculous manner as he had twice hit his chest. “You Indonesia?,” the question carefully reassured him.
Martha lifted her face and their gazes met. “I—iya,” while nodding and smiling. The man continued to look at her while still holding a sweet smile for her. “This is your book, it fell!,” he said give the book brown to him and Maratha immediately took it.
“Thank you.” Her speech.
Martha's phone rang and she picked it up. “Where are you? Mbak is already ahead.” Someone said
across the phone before Mareth greets her. “Iya Ma'am, I'm going there now.” The answer.
Just now the man wanted to extend his hand to get acquainted, but Martha immediately turned around leaving him. “Sorry, I have to go home now. Thank you yes!,” he said with a smile then left it.
The man pulled his hand and then clenched it with force. “Maybe someday we will meet again”his inner with a small laugh realizing his stupidity.
After a week of enjoying a vacation in Australia, Mareth returned to Indonesia without forgetting to buy souvenirs for his friends, and residents of Orphanage.
The announcement of the Exam came and made Martha as a student who got the highest score in the school even the highest in her district. Then followed by a letter of notification that he graduated at the university and was accepted as a student of the school with his chosen major.
