Chapter-17

As scheduled, this Friday I'm going to the orphanage. I've had Ardi prepare all the donations for the orphanage.

I was having breakfast, and Elvira came to me.

"Lo work today, Bang? Don't you still get sick, huh?" tanyakanya.

I scrunched my forehead.

"I mean the one who hurt this," he cut while curling his heart-shaped fingers.

I threw my breath away violently, and did not respond to her babbling.

"Yeah, I was kidding Bang," he said, then sat down to eat.

"Bang, I've prepared everything" said a man who stood at the door, then approached me and Elvira.

"Well, again breakfast," said Ardi, then approached Elvira who was eating and took the chicken on Elvira's plate, then ate it.

"Cockfighting!" as for Elvira, and Elvira took back the new flesh.

I who witnessed the behavior of the two of them just shook my head.

"Where are you two ready?" elvira asked curiously, chewing.

"Kepo lo," said Ardi, who immediately took rice to eat.

"Lo no college, El? If there is nothing, can help Brother to the orphanage," I said.

"Well, where can an Elvira go to the orphanage, Bang." Ardi chimed in while teasing Elvira. The one asked, even cool with the eating ritual.

"Gue can't come, I have a practice today" Elvira said

I ended this eating ritual, "In, I leave first, you will follow me and bring the items that have been prepared!" tell me to Ardi. Then step out.

Seen pick up car that will be carried by Ardi is parked outside the house, behind him carrying some heavy items such as cabinets, mattresses, rice, and so on, and other needs for the children in the orphanage later. I brought food in my car.

I drove my car parked in front of my house to the orphanage. Usually the late mother who always visits the orphanage every week, but from now on I will replace her. However, because I have a lot of busyness, so I only had twice a month to visit there.

Now I was near a small gate that read Orphanage, Barokah Islamic Foundation, and entered the yard of the building that was being renovated.

I parked my car in the courtyard of the orphanage, and I got out of the car.

There were children playing, and the children looked at me in wonder, for this was the first time I had come here.

An old woman I met at my mother's funeral is now approaching me.

"Eh, Mr. Aryan, Mr. Assalamualaikum. I am Bu Neni, the orphanage nanny here," she said with a friendly smile.

"Waalaikumsalam, Mom."

"Kids, here son! Salim went to Mr. Aryan!" he told the children who were playing, as soon as they scattered to me, and kissed the back of my palms one by one.

"Let's go in, come in!" he let me in.

I chimed in, "Here you go, Mom." then I sat on the porch seat looking at the kids, and Bu Neni sat down next to me.

"It just so happened that Mr. Aryan came here, inside there was also a girl who always came here with the late Bu Rita, just a few minutes until here, sir" he said.

"Who, Ma?" manya curious.

"name ...."

"Assalamualaikum Mr. Aryan," the gentle greeting of a woman who had just come out from the inside. The woman was wearing a black abaya with a black veil on her face, while holding a baby girl who was about one year old.

When our eye contact met, I recognized the woman's eyes.

"Dear of? Are you here too?" my many.

"Yes sir," she replied, then stayed away from us because the baby she was carrying was crying and Aisyah was trying to calm her down.

"Sir Aryan knows Miss Ayesha?" ask Bu Neni.

I nodded in response.

"Bu Aisyah is the girl who often comes here with the late Bu Rita, sir" said Bu Neni. "I used to think that Bu Aisyah is the family of Bu Rita or her daughter-in-law, it turns out that she was wrong" he continued, charming his laughter.

Shortly after, the pick up car carried by Ardi came and entered the front yard of this building.

"Bu Neni, we have a small donation for the children here. Accepted yes ma'am, hopefully useful," I said with a friendly smile.

Bu Neni's eyes sparkled instantly, "God be Mr. Aryan, thank you very much Sir. Whether we have to repay him with what, you guys are very kind and care about us" he said, while putting his palms together.

"Sir Aryan knows, if we don't know Bu Aisyah and Bu Rita's late house maybe this orphanage won't be this big. They're both very influential people for this orphanage" he continued.

I who heard it also felt happy, "Yes Mom, together. It has also become his provision for this orphanage, especially the children here" I replied.

I turned my gaze to Aisyah who was heard reciting shalawat to the baby in her cradle. For some reason, when I saw her, my mood calmed down.

"Ekhem, Ms. Aisyah does love the children here, sir." muttered Bu Neni disperse my gaze from Aisyah.

"Eh, yes, ma'am." I answered, wrong.

"It's not good if Mr. Aryan comes here not offered anything, I made coffee first yes sir. Excuse me," said Ms. Neni, I just nodded to her words.

"Big brother, we play ball, yuk!" bring the eight-year-old boy to me while pulling my hand.

"Pump! Big brother's gonna take care of his goal, yeah!" timpal. Then playing football with the kids, with vigor and alertness, I protected the goal from conceding the opponent by using my whole body including my hands.

When the opponent kicked the ball that almost went into the goal that I was guarding, I immediately prevented and caught the ball, then gave it to my team, and shortly thereafter ... Kroll ... Our team won, and the kids hugged me while jumping around, looking very happy.

"Great handsome boy," praised one of the children who hugged me.

I knelt in alignment with them, "Not a great brother, but you guys are so smart and great" I said to them.

My eyes turned back to the woman who was feeding the baby she was carrying.

"Big brother likes ya, same beautiful sister? ask a child who is a lumpy and adorable body while pointing towards Aisyah.

"Where do you know if she's beautiful, huh?" I asked while pinching his cheeks.

"Alif saw it in his eyes. Big brother's eyes are very beautiful, surely his face is also more beautiful," he said.

"In addition to being beautiful, the sister is also very baiiikkk," said the boy who was beside her.

Without realizing it, I agree with the words of the two of them.

"You guys keep playing, yeah! Brother went there first," I said as I ruffled their hair.

I stepped towards Aisyah who was feeding the baby she was carrying.

"Aisha," call me, the thin arch I cast as I approach it.

"Eh, yes Mr. Aryan."

"Why don't you tell me that you come here often with my mother's late mother,"

"I think Aunt Rita told him a long time ago, sir" she replied softly. However, I focused on the baby girl who was in her arms.

"May I hold the baby?" I asked, because the baby looks so adorable to me, with curly hair, skinned as white as snow and has very pretty hazel eyes.

Aisyah handed the baby to me, and then I carried her. "You're so pretty, what's your name, baby?" I said while playing his nose.

"My name is Haliza, sister." said Aisyah by mimicking the voice of a small child, while feeding porridge to the baby I carry.

"Ekhem! You guys are a great fit."

I looked at someone who was talking from behind me.

"Haw, Bang!" ledek Ardi held back his laughter.

Crings ....

Ardi's phone sounded.

"Hello ... Whahuh? Yes Ma'am, Ardi's there now" answered from his phone.

After the phone connection was cut off, Ardi's face suddenly panicked.

"Bang, I have to go, my house fires ...."
