Chapter-19

Today, after I finished work, I now return to the hospital to see the situation of Pakde.

It's been three days that my husband is still in the hospital, and the more days his condition is getting better.

Pakde told me all the chronology of the incident. Starting from Pakde and Budhe left for the fields at seven in the morning, because it was harvest season in his fields.

Indeed Pakde and Budhe have a large corn field, and the distance of the house to the corn field is also not too far, only a kilometer away.

At that time Pakde and Budhe were in his cornfield, and were collecting corn that had been harvested with the help of some workers.

Pakde is one of the people who are very obedient to his religion, even Pakde never misses his sunnah prayers. So before Friday prayers, at ten Pakde has gone home first to perform Dhuha prayers.

Pakde returned home in his second wheeled vehicle. Pakde's house is far from the neighbors. Upon arrival at home, I cleaned myself. After that Pakde performed his Dhuhanya prayer. However, at the time of the first rakaat, the fire had spread and enlarged inside Pakde's house, and made Pakde trapped in his room. So that the house of his labor is scorched not left.

A day later, the police investigated the fire. After investigation, there were no problems from Pakde's house, and the cause of this fire was also not from a cable or electrical short circuit, but the police found a liquid that splattered kerosene in his house Pakde. It is likely that someone deliberately set his house on fire.

But who deliberately set fire to Pakde's house?

A new woman enters the ward with her right hand holding a stainless food tray or hospital plate and her left hand holding a bottle of drink.

"Dad, it's time to eat now" said one woman, her warm smile emanating from her lips, then approached us.

The woman who is almost four heads is Mbak Dian, the first child of Pakde and Budheku. Pakde and Budhe had three children, but their second son died when he was eighteen.

After marriage, Madam Dian rarely went home to her parents, in addition to living with her husband, the distance from the husband's house to her parents' house takes a long time, approximately five hours.

After Pakde was rushed to the hospital, Madam Dian immediately came to the hospital with her husband Rehan Pak.

"Where are things now, Dad? Do you still feel pain?" mbak Dian asked Pakde while bribing him.

"Dad is gone, son." replied Pakde.

After Pakde finished eating, suddenly two nurses approached us to check on Pakde.

"Is my husband allowed to go home?" ask Budhe to one of the nurses.

"For now the patient cannot be allowed to go home, ma'am. Maybe the day after tomorrow, if the patient is no longer limp. Because now the state of the patient is still weak," explained one of the nurses.

Then the two nurses checked my parents. When they are finished, they leave and continue their duties to check the condition of other patients.

"Mom, Dad, after Dad gets home from here, you can stay at our house" said Pakde's daughter-in-law and my budheku.

"If the three of us stay in your house, wouldn't it bother you two, son?" asked Budhe to Ma'am Dian her husband.

The two of them were silent for a moment, "Not at all, ma'am." replied Mr. Rehan.

"Emm .. sorry Pakde, Budhe .. if you like, you can stay at my house" I said

"If Ms. Dian and Mr. Rehan allow. Pakde, Budhe, and Ardi will stay at my house. Moreover, Pakde and Budhe have been considered as my own parents," I continued.

Not that I want to interfere in their affairs, but they are also my relatives. Moreover, Pakde and Budhe had helped my father's business first when it went bankrupt, it-count I returned the favor to them.

Madam Dian and Mr. Rehan looked at each other, thinking about what I said.

"Isn't it burdening you, Aryan? If my parents and brother live in your house?" ask Mama Dian.

"No Ma'am. Pakde and Budhe have been very meritorious to my parents and saved my father's business from bankruptcy, it-count this time I return the favor to you," I replied.

"Hem .. okay, we allow. But it came back again to my father and mother," said Madam Dian while gently rubbing Pakde's hand.

"Son Aryan, if it doesn't burden and trouble you, we'll stay at your house" Pakde said hoarsely.

"I don't feel burdened at all Pakde, I'm happy because my house will be crowded, so I don't feel lonely anymore, let alone Ardi," I replied glancing at Ardi who had just been silent while sitting cross-legged under the carpet.

"Alright Aryan, thank you for helping my family" said Ma'am Dian while patting my shoulder.

"Yes, ma'am."

After the hospital, I went straight home.

I'm the one who just came to the house, I didn't find Elvira, but it's already six in the afternoon. Haven't you come home from the school yet? All I know is that he has no practice today.

"Elvira hasn't come home yet, Bi?"

"Yet, Den."

"Bi, usually make my favorite coffee," I told Bi Ani to make coffee.

"Well, Den Aryan."

It feels so exhausting for today. I climbed the stairs to clean myself.

When I finished, I went straight to the backyard to relax for a moment. Shortly after, Bi Ani brought me a cup of coffee and put it on the table.

I heard the sound of a car that had just been parked in the front yard of my house.

I stepped in front of the house, seen Elvira who had just returned home delivered by a man

I know exactly who that man is.

"Thank you, Brother Aaron," said Elvira.

I stood in the doorway behind Elvira, but Elvira did not realize that I was behind her. The man just looked at me sharply.

Elvira who was astonished because she realized the strange behavior of the man in front of her also looked back.

Undeniably, Elvira was surprised when I noticed her earlier.

"Eh, Bang Aryan. Hehe," he said wrongly.

"Lo won't tell your girlfriend to come in?" my question while giving the code raised my eyebrows.

Elvira glanced at the man. "Emm .. let's go in first, sis," he told Dr. Aaron, with a big smile coming from his lips.

"Maybe next time El, I still have to go back to the hospital," she said.

"Hem .. alright," replied Elvira slightly disappointed.

"Then I go home first" said Doctor Aaron without looking at me.

When Doctor Aaron was about to open the car door, I approached him.

"Wait!"

Doctor Aaron stopped his activity, then turned his body to look at me.

"Do you like my nephew?" seriously ask Dr. Aaron.

"You misunderstood Mr. Aryan, I don't like your nephew. We just happened to pass by in the hospital parking lot. Your niece had been waiting for a long time for her friend to pick her up, so she whined asking me to drive her," she explained with a flat face.

I looked towards Elvira. "Lo to the hospital, El?" my many.

"Hu 'um. I am again remedial practice in the hospital, Bang," he explained without shame while grimacing.

If Elvira tells me she's in the hospital maybe I'll wait for her to finish her practice.

"Why don't you understand me? I just got back from the hospital, too" I was upset.

"Well, I didn't know you were in the hospital either" she said with her lips turned red.

I exhaled violently, then glanced at Doctor Aaron.

"Gue's sorry, my niece has bothered you. But thank you for taking him home" I said thanking Dr. Aaron.

There was no answer from him, only a nod to my words.

"Then, excuse me to go home" he said, then got into his car. However, just as she was about to close the door of her car, I held her back. His face was beginning to get upset.

I bent my body slightly parallel to his face.

"But if you really like my nephew. I don't mind if you can keep my niece and never hurt her!" my speech.

"I won't hurt anyone including your niece. Unlike what you did, it hurt my sister seventeen years ago," he said, repressed, with his jaw beginning to harden.

I frowned, because I didn't understand what he was talking about. "You mean?"
