My Son Is My Strength

My Son Is My Strength
Mm mm...

The man drives a car, cleaving the way to the address that Arini told him about.

In the car none of them opened their voices, the situation looked silent. Only a subtle gurgle of the car engine fills the silence between them.

Arini looked out, enjoying the atmosphere of the afternoon amid the dense capital of Jakarta, which was filled with towering buildings and passing vehicles. While the man focused on driving, occasionally stealing glances at Arini through the rearview mirror.

Arini remembered something, about this man that she had not been able to ask earlier.

"Eh... The feeling you're not an employee in my company working, open a client, or a colleague right?" said Arini started the conversation, and immediately got a nod of the head from the man.

"Then...why did you get to be in the company, and what did you want?" finally Arini can catapult her curiosity since earlier while still in the company.

The man was silent for a moment, not answering. It seemed like he was thinking before answering a question from Arini.

"Previously introduce my name Rangga Kusuma, can be called Rangga. I was able to be in the company because I was looking for a job vacancy and wanted to apply there. However, the receptionist said there were no job openings." He said with a slightly moody face.

Arini frowned, "Searching for work at four in the afternoon?" in my heart, I felt strange. This time he found something like that.

Tapi rasa aneh itu tidak bertahan lama, melihat wajah murung dari laki-laki ini.

"Oh. So you are not part of the company, I deserve to feel very foreign to see your face, Rangga." Said Arini who again got a nod of the head from this man named Rangga.

"So you said you were looking for a job at the company I work for?" tanya Arini remembered Rangga's words just now.

"Yes Miss...." Said Rangga did not know the name Arini.

"Ofers." Arini said, telling her name.

"Yes Miss Arini, I am indeed looking for a job vacancy there. But, it turns out there isn't." Answer Rangga later.

"Indeed, because at the company where I work today there is no need for additional workers." Obviously Arini who makes Rangga's face again looks moody, sad.

"Huffft...." Rangga breathed resignedly accepting the reality.

Arini who saw the sadness of Rangga's face, he became unbearable. He remembered how difficult he used to be in finding a job in this capital city. It was hard for them, what else came from the village.

If they did not have the skills that were commensurate with those of the city, then it could be that they would just be maids and so on.

"Do you really want to get a job?" asked Arin and Rangga nodded.

"Can I see your cover letter?" Arini asked for Rangga's job application letter. However, Rangga shook his head. He did not have those letters.

"You don't have a job application?"

"Yes, I don't have those letters." Answer Rangga listlessly.

Hmmmm.... Arini was silent, thinking of something. "How can I do it in the office, if he doesn't have a job application." Arini mutters.

"It looks like I have a job for you and hopefully it will work for you." Arini said after he thought long, finding a suitable job for Rangga.

"REally...?" Rangga was excited to the point that he looked behind where Arini was sitting.

"Of course it's true. But wait till my house, I'll tell you what the job is."

"Yes." Yeah." Rangga nodded enthusiastically, he refocused on the steering wheel.

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat...." Arini gave her greetings, knocking on her door. With Rangga standing behind him.

"Wa'alaikumussalam...." Someone from inside the house answered Arini's greeting while opening the wooden door.

"Who is that brother?" tanya Arumi looked at the man behind her brother.

"Ih. You're not very polite, tell me to come in first." Arini hit the arm slowly.

"Yes.Yes...." Arumi nodded giving way, "Please.." he continued stretching out his hands.

"Come on." Invite Arini to give a hand signal to Rangga.

"Eh. uh. wait." Arumi stopped these two people's steps.

"Sister's leg why?" asked Arumi approaching her brother, she crouched down to check.

"Sister's leg is fine, just a sprain." Arini calms down the worried looking Arumi.

"It's okay but the road is like that." Arumi looked up at the suspicious looking man behind her brother.

"There is also no such thing as a 'doang keseleo' sprained sprain." Arumi alternately looked up at her brother with a gaze that Arini could not understand. Maybe a look of pity, worry, anger, or all three.

Arumi got up, wrapped Arini's hand on her back so she could help her brother to walk.

"Eh. Brother is okay Rum, not--"

"Udah diem." Said Arumi did not want to be denied with a firm tone. He really dislikes his brother who belittles things like this.

Arumi takes Arini to the sofa, calling her mother to go to the living room. Rangga watched all of that without making a sound.

"What's Rum?" Syahra's mother came out of the kitchen, after she turned off the stove. Hearing Arumi who called out to him, he immediately went out to the living room.

And it turns out that Arumi yelled not only in with by Syahra's mother, but Azzam who was in his room also listened to the scream. He rushed down the stairs, seeing what was going on.

Shahra and Azzam's mother focused their eyes on Arini, who was seen walking limped to the sofa with help from Arumi.

"Arini why?" Syahra's mother rushed to her two children.

"Mama why?" Azzam also came down from the stairs, running towards his mother who was now sitting on the living room sofa.

He approached his mother with a very worried face, even his eyes had started to tear up wanting to cry.

"What's wrong with you, Rum?" ask Syahra's mother again after being beside Arumi.

"Silver sprain, Mom." Arumi answered releasing a circle of Arini's hands from her back.

"Mama sprain? Why could? Does it hurt?" azzam asked in a row beside Arini, with increasingly teary eyes.

"Dear, mom is just a sprain. Don't worry, it doesn't hurt too much." Arini tried to calm her son. Gently rubbed Azzam's face.

"Why can?" azzam and Syahra's mother asked almost simultaneously.

"Yes, why can't you." Syahra's mother repeated her question, making Rangga look down. Feeling so guilty already made Arini like that, and made his family become all worried.

Arini silenced not to answer, he glanced at Rangga. And saw Azzam and his mother taking turns.

Syahra's mother looked back at Arini waiting for an answer, Arumi raised both eyebrows also waiting for an answer from her brother. While Azzam he was already staring intently full of intimidation at the figure of the man sitting on the sofa next to them.

"Hmmm--" Rangga wanted to say something, but the sound of the door being knocked made him undo it.

"Wait a minute...." Arumi woke up from her seat, saying goodbye to the people who were in the living room. Want to open the door. "Who else is here this afternoon."

The knocking of the door is getting louder and firmer, on knocking repeatedly. Making Arumi snort, "Oh who the hell, he thinks this is the home of his ancestors. So, don't consider the ethics of knocking on the door!" rfor Arumi heard the knock.

"Wait a minute.wait a minute." Shouted Arumi opening the door.

"Ommm...." Azzam ran over to the man.
