My wife Kuntilanak
Chapter 43. Occult Guests in Tahlilan (2)

"I-it's... Pocong...!" The screams of the people inside Aruna's house.

They all scatter into the living room and kitchen, to avoid guests who float quickly towards the terrace of the house Aruna.

"Astaghfirullah's. What exactly is going on here?" muttered Mr. Diman, who is also a religious leader there.

"home... Take me home, Aruna. Hihihi..."

The woman's moans and laughter echoed throughout the room. At first they thought that the pocong was the one that spoke.

But their conjecture was immediately broken, as a female figure with a hideous face shape appeared in front of the wide-open door. His entire face was crushed and dripping blood, until the white clothes he was wearing were filled with thick fresh blood.

All the villagers who were present there were petrified. Including Aksa the village chief. The woman's face is no longer recognizable. His eyes that were as big as eggs were staring at the people inside the house fiercely.

"Arune... Arunas... Hihihi..."

Aruna curled up inside the middle room with a body shivering in fear. Although he did not see the figure, but his nasal and moaning voice had made his guts freefall.

"What happened to Aruna? Why is he being called that thing?"

Everyone whispered questioningly. No one dared to close the door, until Mr. Diman stood up and closed it.

"Go, O creature of God. Don't bother us anymore" said Kinanti's father.

"Yasins. Those of us who are healthy should read Yasin. The creature must have gone" ordered Mr. Darya who followed the nods of the heads of the fathers.

After the hustle and bustle, they began to continue reading yasin and the prayers that had stopped. While the four people who were vomiting earlier, rested in the middle room.

Kriet's... Krieet...

The creaking of the open door, did not make the focus of the fathers crumble. The tayyibah sentences they said together, to ask for the safety of all the villagers.

The light rain is still pouring down on the earth, accompanied by strong winds. No one dared to look out of the house. No one knew that the two terrible guests had disappeared from the front of Aruna's house.

"Thank God, it's all done. Hopefully after this nothing will interfere with the comfort of our village," said Aksa closed the event.

"Thank you, Mr. Kades," replied Aruna and Bu Tuti as hosts.

"Then we'll excuse you. If there is anything immediately contact the neighbor, Mom," said Aksa while greeting Bu Tuti and his schoolmate.

...***...

"Why did he come back to me? Is it because I'm still keeping this thing?"

Aruna took out a pair of gold bracelets with crescent-shaped pendants from inside her drawer. He kept it in a small box decorated with ribbons. For decades he kept it.

No one knows if Aruna took Kinanti's only possession, just before she pushed him into Lake Cemani.

Aruna didn't bring that thing home. He kept it in a tree hole near his goat pen. After Kinanti's disappearance died down, he took the object back and took it home.

"Tomorrow I must throw this damned thing away" Aruna said.

His eyeballs looked at an object in the drawer, which had been stored there for a long time. His hand grabbed the HP Nokea output in 2003. The electronic object appeared to be covered in dust, never held.

"This thing must also be thrown away," Aruna said with a pushy eye.

In his time, it had a very high value, and belonged to only certain people. And Aruna was lucky, because he could get it for free, as a reward for taking Kinanti to the Lake. Now that thing is no longer useful, other than being a scrap metal.

"Ah, Mommy. Make me surprised, just" said Aruna as she rubbed her chest. He could not hide these things from his mother.

Ms. Tuti just smiled faintly, "Who's bracelet?" ask the woman whose hair has turned white.

"This is mine, ma'am. I used to buy it myself, but it hasn't been used yet" Aruna told a lie. He doesn't want anyone to know about his dark past.

"Oh, that. Good, yeah. I just saw."

Aruna simply smiled awkwardly as she put the bracelet together into her box. Ah, his heart hesitated to throw away the precious thing. What if her mother suddenly asked again? He had to tell me that the bracelet was gone?

"It's night, Aruna. You better go to sleep" said Bu Tuti suddenly.

"Duh, mom. Am I a child, who was told to go to bed at this hour?" aruna protested with a small laugh. "I can't sleep yet, Mom. I'm still scared," he added. Both of his hands were busy keeping the bracelets and HP back into the drawer.

"You are always a child in Mom's eyes" replied Ms. Tuti. "You better rest. Forget all that trouble."

"Hmm, yes Mom. Actually my back is also tired," Aruna said as she squirmed her body.

"Then I turn off the lights. Good night Aruna Kamila."

"Well! How weird, huh? I haven't called my full name in a long time. She never told me to go to bed and turn off the lights, either" Aruna thought without answering her mother's good night.

Her heart was astonished, with her mother's slightly different attitude. Is this because of the events he's been through?

Pet! Aruna's room lights went out. It all went dark.

The woman turned to the door, and did not see her mother coming out of the room.

"Mom, the room lights just turn on. I'm scared" Aruna pinta before her mother comes out.

There's no answer. Did his mother leave the room? How did Aruna not see it? Though there is still a spotlight from the middle room that enters Aruna's room.

The woman came back down from the bed to turn on her room lights. When he turned his body towards the bed, his heart almost dislodged. His mother is still sitting there.

"Ah, I'm ngagetin. Why is that so weird, anyway?" exclaimed Aruna annoyed.

"So you're aware that I'm weird?"

The woman's wide smile made Aruna step back quickly. It was clear it was not her mother, even though her face was very similar.

Hiduprak!

The trousers on the table fell to the floor, as Aruna's back nudged her. "Go from here!" aruna said in a loud voice.

The figure in front of him was no longer his mother. Except for his schoolmate who he had pushed into Lake Cemani. That's why the woman's body now looks soaked and smells fishy.

"Arune... Come and accompany me home. You have promised," said the figure softly.

The whole power of Aruna has been worn away. He could just sit on the floor. His voice would not come out, even though he was trying to scream.

"Stop this, Kinanti. What wrong? I just take orders from them?" aruna screams in the heart.
