My wife Kuntilanak

My wife Kuntilanak
Chapter 51. First Love

"Well, after school you're not busy, are you? Somebody wants me to talk to you."

A young man with short hair and a face like a Caucasian race, reprimanded Kinanti who had just returned from the teacher's room. His awkward smile became even more awkward, as some friends smiled mischievously at them.

"Oh, Aksa. I'm not busy, though. Not busy now either. Why not talk now?" reply women who have long hair and are allowed to decompose it innocently. Her white skin was in stark contrast to her lustrous black hair.

"Emh, don't be here. I'm shy. Later on talk about it. If you can, I'll wait behind the school, yes" Aksa said.

"Back school?" Kinanti was a bit hesitant to sniff out the popular student's invitation.

"If not, under the catapult tree beside the school," Aksa ralat. Anyway he used a lot of persuasion to invite Kinanti to a meeting.

"Hmm, jeez. I'll be there later" said Kinanti with a sweet smile.

"Yes!" aksa's screams in the heart.

Right after school, when the students were scattering home, Kinanti went to a row of catapult trees next to their class. The place is quite quiet, because rarely visited by students.

"You came alone, right?" search for Aksa, when Kinanti meets him.

"Yes. I'm alone, really. But what do you want, anyway? If it's weird that I stay, nih," said Kinanti while looking around.

"Wait first. Not weird, though. I want to give this to you." Aksa thrust a clear plastic-covered object at Kinanti.

"Novels?" kinanti was confused.

Aksa nodded, "You like to read novels, right? This is I bought for you. This novel was popular last year. It's not too late to read now" explained Aksa still holding a Supernova novel owned by Dee Lestari, which was published in 2001.

"It's expensive. Why do you give me this?" ask Kinanti confused.

"It's not really expensive, really. Because I bought it at a used bookstore. But the book is still beautiful and I'm a cover-up" Aksa said excitedly.

"But this is still too special. Why do you want to give me such a good gift? I'm no longer a birthday, and neither are we best friends."

"Hmm, look at Kinan. I-I like you from our first grade. M-wouldn't you go out with me?"

Aksa let out a long sigh, after saying that sentence. It seems he had memorized the sentence template to shoot the woman a long time ago.

"Huh?"

"Coc-huh?" aksa's reply was a little disappointed by Kinanti's reaction.

"Sorry. But I was shocked," said Kinanti.

"You don't have to answer now. Think about it first," Aksa said, bowing in embarrassment.

"Aksa, I don't think I can go out with you" said Kinanti Lirih.

"Why? Are you dating someone else? Or like people?" search Aksa.

"Not both, really. I just want to focus on my school first. At least until high school. You know, right? My parents are not a wealthy family" Kinanti said.

"Ah, so is that? If I wait for you to graduate high school, right?" aksa said expectantly.

"It's too long, Aksa. Are you willing? You can find another woman if you wait too long for me" said Kinanti.

"If I can do what?" reply Aksa with confidence.

Kinanti was flabbergasted to hear it, "Aksa, you better not expect too much of me. There are still a lot of popular women who want to date you" says Kinanti.

"You want to focus on learning that's just your excuse, right? You actually just want to reject me?" aksa said with a slightly high tone.

Aksa took a deep breath, "Yes already. I will not force you. But take this book. You can read it again for abis studying." Aksa returned the novel she had bought.

"Thank you, Aksa. But I took it. I'll borrow you later if I want to read again," refused Kinanti again.

...***...

"And I have prepared this special gift for you, Kinan... The gift I was supposed to give you, right on our class hike. But I can't believe that a terrible tragedy happened."

Aksa swiped the state university scholarship form, whose paper had turned brown. The form had two sheets, and was tucked in the middle of the novel book. One for Kinanti and the other for herself.

After hearing the bitter reason Kinanti refused, Aksa also tried to get the scholarship form from his cousin who studied at the same campus. Aksa hopes that he can go to college with the girl, and then edit her.

"Mas, why are you holding onto that scrappy novel? Dusty, huh," Rani scolded as she wagged her hand in front of her nose.

Aksa did not answer. He put the old novel back in his closet drawer and locked it.

"Ngapain saved again, anyway? Mending was sold to a junkman."

"Never take that book out of this drawer. If it gets lost or torn, you bear the consequences," threatened Aksa suddenly.

Rani's footsteps came to a halt, when their distance was less than five cubits. Rani's heart suddenly goiter, because Aksa loves the old novel more than he does.

"What is a novel, anyway? From whom? How do you keep being loved?" search Rani curious.

"This is my novel. I bought it at the flea market at High School. The first thing I bought out of my own hard-earned money. So don't try to take it, yes," Aksa threatened again.

"Yes, it's up to you. But tonight you're looking for your own food. I want to go to my mother's house with the kids" Rani replied with a bent face.

The woman turned her body and walked out of the room. As he passed through the door, he slowed his pace and looked back. His heart was disappointed to learn that Aksa was not pursuing him, as expected.

"Why, bengong mulu? Usually the bride smiles a lot."

Hadyan took a chair and sat down in front of her co-workers. The atmosphere of the office is quite quiet, because it's a break.

"Think who else tried, besides Laksmi. Want to go to Wingit Hamlet also has not had time," Satya replied with a long sigh.

"This time what other weirdness did he make?" ask Hadyan. True singles are always faithful to listen to Satya's curses.

"He's not that weird. But the people around him" Satya said.

"Huh? Meaning how?" Hadyan was confused to hear it.

"Yesterday there was a little boy who shouted, if I was piggybacking on a ghost. And this isn't the first time."

"Anyone who said that?" ask Hadyan, getting curious.

"Good, he shouted in fear while pointing towards Laksmi. Then a grandmother I met at the gift shop was also afraid to see Laksmi. You too, right?" Satya threw her gaze towards Hadyan.

"Yes, since I first met you I feel like he's a little weird and creepy."

Hadyan still remembered her first meeting with Laksmi. His strange smile still often made him have nightmares until now.

"But I don't know what caused it. Though some smart people we came to say, if Laksmi does not use black magic, right?" hadyan's comments.

"So what's the secret to Laksmi? Kids can't lie, right?" Satya thought she was getting curious.
