Not even a week Alan went to the cemetery to bury his father. And now, Alan is coming again. This time his only remaining family had to let Alan go to be buried beside his father's grave.
Alan just stood pensively looking at his mother's face inside the coffin for the last time. Liliyana's face looked peaceful, calm, a glimmer of smile was exposed on Liliyana's lips. A smile that hints at her is about to meet her lover.
"Mothers... Dad, you two are inseparable. May you all be happy in nature." Alan closed the coffin.
Alan felt a bit of calm watching his mother's coffin begin to be buried.
Saddened? That's sure! But in his heart was a speck of calm feeling after seeing his mother's smile. Alan had heard that true love would never be separated by anything. Alan thought it was just a piece of people's wreath. But now Alan sees for himself the true love between his parents.
"Dad, Mother... May you be happy there. Now nothing will ever separate the two of you." Alan's tears fell on his cheek, but Alan quickly wiped them off.
Ivan and Toni approach Alan. Trying to be there when Alan was down.
"You okay Lan?" Ivan asked who was confused to entertain in what way to see his best friend staring at the tomb that was being piled up by the ground.
"Yes... My mom and dad were happy there. I also cannot continue to be sad here. I don't want to ruin their happiness because of my sadness." Alan tried to toughen up even though his heart was sliced by iris.
"You're right Lan. No need to mourn the sadness too long. The important thing is we have to keep fighting for the future."
Toni was only speechless to see Alan and Ivan who could still look calm under these circumstances. If he was in the position of Alan would have tried to catch up with his parents.
The group of bodyguards went one by one. Alan, Ivan and Toni were gone too. Alan once turned to the graves of his parents before exiting the tomb area.
"Dad, Mother... You two be happy there. Your kids are grown, no need to worry about me. I can definitely take care of myself. I won't ruin both of you'll be happy." Alan said in his heart.
Alan left the tomb feeling relieved and returned to his home.
Three days have passed
Alan was sitting in his mother's room. On his lap was a black box that Alan found next to his mother's body.
From the preparation her mother made. It was as if his mother knew that she was going to follow Julian to the realm of death.
Alan opened the black box. There are 4 objects, 1 necklace with a heart pendant in the pendulum there is a photo of Alan's parents.
One black blade made of the best quality steel. The knife bears the name Scraft, which means Alan's surname.
It is likely that this is the knife his father used often when he was young.
The other two pieces are two pieces of paper. Alan did not dare to open the two letters, his heart could just feel relieved. If he read both letters, he would get heart trouble again. Alan kept both letters.
"Alan's... I'm going back to Middlemist. You're not coming back with me? " Said Toni who was standing in front of the room door.
"Sorry Ton... But I still have to take care of a lot of business in the village. You go back first. After my business is done, maybe I'll go to Middlemist again."
"Maybe? Don't you intend to continue your studies?"
Julian has already paid for all of Alan's needs for college until Alan graduates later. Alan just needs to find money to survive in the city. Of course it won't be difficult for a hardworking person like Alan.
"Entah Ton. All my reasons for continuing my studies are gone. The villagers have lost their land. The old man I wanted to make proud was no longer there either."
"So what are you going to do? Working for the Sunflower Group?"
"Maybe Ton..."
Toni immediately walked over to Alan and stood in front of Alan.
Plaaaakk.....
Toni immediately slapped Alan in the face, and he tightly grabbed Alan by the collar.
"Listen Lan... This isn't the Alan I know... "
"The God I know won't be willing to be under someone else's shelter."
"Look at the villagers here. Would they be willing to take their land? Are they willing to work at the Sunflower?"
"They had to Lan... Because to meet their needs they have to work at Sunflower."
"If the villagers could choose. They must have picked the others Lan."
"When you... You have a choice Lan!"
Alan was only speechless to hear Toni's snapping. Everything Tony said was true.
"Listen Lan... These villagers need a great leader. If you stay like this. What can you do?"
"It's different if you continue your studies. Whether you will be what it will be, at least you will probably find other ways to seize the land of this village again."
"That's all I can say. It's all up to you but one thing. I'm disappointed in you Lan. I thought you were more than this." Toni let go of his grasp and went out of the room.
"Wait..." Alan prevented Toni from leaving the room.
"You're right, Ton. I can't trus like this." Alan stood up and approached Toni.
"Thank you Ton... You are my most wonderful friend." Alan hugged Toni.
"You two... It turns out..." Ivan who had just come to Alan's house was shocked to see the scene of Alan and Toni hugging.
"Eh... Ivan's... Since when? alan felt that he was still hugging Toni, and Ivan must have thought that was not about the two of them. Alan immediately released Toni.
"Let's..... It's not what you thought Van was... " Toni immediately replied.
Ivan just smiled at his own smile. "If so too... I don't have a problem."
Alan who felt helpless immediately grabbed Ivan's head and explained what had happened.
"Lane... I'm here to say goodbye." Said Ivan.
"Where are you going?" Ask Alan.
"I'm going to work in Louis. In the place of one of my father's brothers."
"Why do you want to go Van? " Toni chimed.
"Haaahs... My family has been living in the heat just by cultivating our fields. The farm is no longer ours. Of course the result of working in the Sunflower Group will not be enough to send my sister to school."
Toni and Alan immediately jolted his heart. Tini felt anxious to help Ivan with the help of her family. But looking at Ivan's nature he certainly wouldn't agree.
Alan felt even more devastated. He was about to give up and work in the Sunflower Group. But Ivan made another decision. From here the spirit of Alan to continue to progress so that it is getting bigger.
"When are you going to the van?" Ask Alan.
"This afternoon..."
"Observe my brother's heart. I'm also going back to Mediterranean City with Toni this afternoon."
"Of course Lan. I'll raise enough money to send my sister. I don't want my sister to be like me."
"I believe you can Van. We will meet again in a different state than we are now. Circumstances where we can take away our rights." Alan hugged Ivan as a sign of farewell.
Ivan returned to his home to prepare. Alan also packed. Tidying up his house because it will stay away for a long time, arranging the items of memory of his parents that can be brought.
Alan set off carrying a small black bag and suitcase. That little black suitcase was his father's property. Alan deliberately brought it so that Alan could get blessings from his parents if he would apply for a job later.
Alan and Toni take the last train from Hanley town to Mediterranean City. So then... If there were no obstacles they would reach Mediterranean City at midnight.
Arriving at the Mediterranean station at midnight. Alan really remembered the first time he came to Mediterranean City. The difference is he's with toni now.
