The name of Alas Purwo National Park in Banyuwangi has been synonymous with the existence of Plengkung Beach. However, behind the national park located in the easternmost region of Java Island has one other beach that is not less exotic with Plengkung Beach, Triangulasi Beach.

Triangulasi Beach is located in Tegaldlimo Village, or about 70 km from the center of Banyuwangi City. Its location inside Alas Purwo National Park makes the journey of visitors to the beach location like an interesting and challenging adventure. From the gate of Alas Purwo to the beach location is about 2 km or can be reached about 1 hour drive, considering the road taken is full of rocks.

According to Alas Purwo National Park, the name Triangulasi is taken from the name of the national park's artificial monument for the purpose of mapping Alas Purwo National Park. Given its location within the national park, Triangulation Beach is often a gathering place for wild animals.

Purwo alas is seen as the starting ground or site of creation. There are many sites for places to meditate. Every 1st of suro, people flock to TN Alas Purwo to do semedi or ascetic.

The people around Alas Purwo believe that here there is a jinn palace, which is a gathering place for the jinn from all over Java. This story is reinforced by the condition of Purwo Alas who is still a virgin. In history, Alas Purwo is also a place of escape from the Majapahit people from the spread of Islam.

Before the fame because of the beach, who would have thought this is where the jinn gather? There are even psychics who say there is a kingdom of jinn there.
