Chapter 40. Pocong Road

Azaan isya echoed in Masjid Al Hasanah, Mekarsari Village, Mekarmulya Village.

Residents rushed out of the house to the village's jami mosque. DKM chairman Ustaz Hamid directly monitored the situation inside the mosque, arranging the saf of the pilgrims.

Divided into two large safes, namely in the front specifically for male pilgrims, while in the back specifically for female pilgrims. That's the rule.

Who came to the mosque not only parents, but also children, teenagers, young people. Moreover, the members of Irma Al Hasanah, almost all of them present.

Mothers with their daughters, except those who are obstructed because of the "red", do not miss the mosque with prayer to join the first tarawih prayer in this holy month of Ramadan.

The mosque was crowded by worshipers who worshiped in the month whose rewards were multiplied, of course, the worship was carried out sincerely, solely because they hoped for the pleasure of Allah.

Not to forget the Hajj Makmur family was in the front of the saf, also Warya, and his mother Hajah Tita joined other mothers.

Pak Muslih's family is also not left behind, complete with Bu Ratih, Rama, and Wati. Also Yati and Imas do not want to be missed following tarawih prayers on the first day of Ramadan.

They are indeed in a neighborhood close to the Masjid Al Hasanah so that to the mosque they worship related to the month of Ramadan such as tarawih prayers.

Mr. Muslih is adjacent to Haji Makmur, is on the front saf. Even with Warya adjacent to Rama, especially the two are part of the large family Irma Al Hasanah, surely they need to be close together because who knows what should be discussed.

While Hajjah Tita, deliberately chose in the saf the very back of women. Though it was in the front saf, but when approached by Bu Ratih who originally wanted to invite shaking hands, it turns out Bu Tita has moved to the rear saf with his own heart.

Seeing her husband and son still close to the family of Mr. Muslih, Hajah Tita's heart was really made furious. According to him, his husband and son really did not appreciate his decision which has prohibited the two from approaching the family of Mr. Muslih.

Soon enough Ikamat sounded, the sign of prayer isya will begin soon. Ustaz Hamid who would act as imam immediately stood up and advanced to the pulpit of the mosque.

Before starting the prayer, Ustaz Hamid first check the saf to be ordered first with his order to straighten and close saf.

The pilgrims immediately close and straighten the line.

Ustaz Hamid has not started praying because the children are still not orderly. Seeing that, Rama immediately moved to the rear saf row near the children's saf. Rama signaled by putting his index finger to the lips, a sign that the children orderly, do not elbow each other and laugh.

The atmosphere was already conducive and Ustaz Hamid began to read takbiratulihram or read "Allaahu Akbar" prayer signs began, namely prayers before the prayer tarawih.

After the prayer isya, followed by remembrance, and among the pilgrims there are those who continue with the circumcision or circumcision prayer before and after the obligatory prayer, some are not.

When the congregation no longer has circumcision. Ustaz Hamid spoke at the pulpit and explained the activities held at Al Hasanah Mosque. And especially for the Irma there are lecture exercises. After the announcement, Ustaz Hamid also invited Irma members who will appear in front of the pulpit for lecture practice.

A 10-year-old boy came forward. Wearing gloves, a long-sleeved white shirt, and a black peci.

He said a pretty eloquent greeting then said tahmid like a preacher.

Then he began to talk about delivering the contents of the lecture, "Tomorrow we will start saum or fasting. So, we all have to do it because fasting is a mandatory law" the boy said convincingly.

"Great the Usep" whispered one mother to the other beside her.

"Who was his mother" said the mother beside him. It turns out she's the mother of that kid named Usep. He was proud that his young son had dared to appear in front of the crowd.

"For whom and for what do we fast, sir? Ma?" the word Usep mimics the style of the lecture of the famous deceased.

The fathers and mothers did not answer, they were smiling.

"Nobody knows? Duh pity.." said Usep.

The audience also laughed at the style of Usep lecturing. Only Bu Hajah Tita did not laugh, he knew that the boy was still his brother, the family of Mr. Muslih.

"The fast is only for believers according to the word of Allah SWT in the Quran of Al Baqarah verse 183" Usep said while reading the verse.

"Why is saum only called to the faithful? Because nonbelievers will not fast" Usep said.

The pilgrims nod their heads in agreement and understand.

"Then what are we fasting for? Nothing else so that we become pious people," said Usep explained.

Only 10 minutes of Usep lecture and after the lecture continued the lecture by Ustaz Hamid who also expressed his excitement to Usep who had dared to make a speech.

"Hopefully in our mosque is growing the next generation until the Islamic shiar remains bekibar" hoped Ustaz Hamid.

Finished the lecture, followed by the tarawih prayer until completed at around 20:15 . And one by one the congregation went home.

After the pilgrims came home, Rama and Warya talked with some members of Irma who would be in charge of waking the residents to eat dawn.

"The port is not too hard yes, just you say sahu-sahur. Do not hit the power pole" Rama told teenagers who would be in charge of waking up residents to eat sahur.

"Ready Brother Rama, ready. What time do we start traveling?" ask a teenager.

"From two o'clock or at least half three is enough. Don't be one o'clock, it's too fast" Rama said.

"Ready Brother. We will sleep in the mosque together so we can go together. Later the others usually follow after sounding from us," said Boim who was appointed as the leader of the pickles wake up the meal sahur.

"Yes, good then. But be careful not to fall asleep" said Rama.

Rama and Warya went home. While Boim and his comrades in the mosque will sleep there to carry out the task of waking up the residents of sahur meal.

On the way home, Warya and Rama approached the Warya house. Warya House is closer to the mosque than Rama's house.
