Other Dream Women
Chapter 6. What Cuisine Is This?

The morning sun began to crawl up to the throne. Replacing the moon that has been tired of keeping watch all night. The children's sunlight also pierced through the white curtains in the window. Giving a sensation of warmth that hugs the body.

I looked busy this morning. After performing the morning prayer a few hours ago, he began busy working in the kitchen. Start cooking rice, making vegetables, frying side dishes and preparing provisions for his two daughters. Everything will feel lighter if the work in the kitchen is done.

"Well, can I help you? Looks like you're in a lot of trouble, son!"

Marni's sudden voice rang out in the sense of hearing, making Cahya a little surprised. He paused for a moment and turned to the source of the sound. Her mother-in-law caught up with her in the kitchen.

"Yes Mom, no need. It's gonna be over soon. Oh yeah, do you want some tea? Or wedang ginger? Let Aya make it," bargained Cahya to the mother-in-law. Because usually this mother-in-law likes to drink ginger wedang.

Marni smiled knot. The middle-aged woman seemed so happy to have a daughter-in-law like Cahya. A noble hearted woman and a woman who is so adept at doing homework. It is very rare to find such a woman in such an age.

"No Ay. I didn't want to drink anything this morning. I just want to accompany you to the cooking."

Cahya chuckled softly. "If it's just accompanying is okay, ma'am. If it helps, don't. Because it's almost done."

Cahya began to put various vegetables in the pot. This morning, she accidentally cooked rib soup which was her husband's favorite. Hopefully, the clouds will feel happy because they have made the food they like.

The distinctive smell of beef ribs began to pour out to fill the kitchen area this morning. While waiting for everything to ripen, Cahya did not forget to make apple juice. All the work in the kitchen was almost done even though he was working alone.

"Well, today's school kids, right?" ask Marni.

Cahya nodded her head. "True Ma'am. It's Monday, so the kids are starting school. What's wrong, ma'am?"

"After delivering the kids, go to the salon and to the mall, Ay. I'm sure there your body will feel much more relaxed and your mind more fresh."

What Cloud did to Cahya yesterday, really made Marni's heart a little melos. Awan's attitude and behavior must have disappointed the son-in-law, but the woman tried hard to hide it. Marni thinks by taking a walk to the mall and pampering her body in the salon, the condition of Cahya's heart can return as usual.

Cahya was a little surprised when she listened to the advice of her mother-in-law. Because Marni does not usually ask him to go to the mall or to the salon. Cahya just remembered if yesterday, Marni heard a debate between herself and the Clouds. Maybe because that's what makes Marni want him to momentarily refresh his mind with a walk to the mall and pamper himself in the salon.

"But Mom, if Aya goes to the mall and the salon, then what about Mom? I can't leave Mom alone at home. What if I need something later?"

"Son, this time you don't have to think about Mom. Think about your own sanity and mental health. You need refreshing, son. You haven't been to the mall and the salon in a long time, have you?"

Seemed to think for a moment. He wondered what Marni said. He thought there was nothing wrong if for a moment he indulged in a walk to the mall and to the salon.

"Mother is it really okay if Aya stays for a while? Eh but this is not a moment, ma'am, because it's only noon Aya come home," asked Aya to make sure. With the state of the mother-in-law like this, it really makes him not have the heart to leave it for a long time.

What a noble heart Ay. You are far from even thinking about my situation compared to your own happiness. Really, Mom and the Clouds are so lucky to have you, son.

Marni nodded her head steadily as if asking Cahya not to worry too much. "It's okay, kid. If you need something, you can do it yourself. Don't worry."

Cahya still felt heavy-hearted. He stared at the bead in his mother-in-law's eyes. Shady eyes radiated from there. It was like a sign that everything was going to be okay.

"Alright Ma. Later Aya will go to the mall and to the salon."

***

"A ready. Let's have breakfast. I'm waiting at the dinner table!"

Using a blue uniform, Malika and Alina seem to be preparing to go to school. Today was their first day of school after the semester break.

"Jelica ... Today we'll meet up with friends again Dek. So happy!"

Alina cheered cheerfully in front of Malika. The joy is what seems contagious to make Malika also excited.

"Yes Kak, Malika wants to play the slide with friends. Malika has not played a game for a long time. Same sand doll toys kept at home."

Cahya just giggled amusedly at the babbling of these two daughters. Especially plus Malika's lips that look so conical because of the sense of boredom playing at home.

"If playing games and anything in school must be careful, dear. Do not scramble," said Cahya advising.

"certain Mother. Said the teacher at the school, we should be in line and should not fight," Alina's great-grandson.

The mother and her two daughters walked together towards the dining room. Arriving at the dining room, Clouds and Marni were already sitting there. The clouds look still busy with the device in hand while sipping coffee that has been available.

"You want breakfast now, huh? I'll get you?" haggard Cahya after sitting his two daughters in the dining chair.

"Ay briefly. I still want to finish this coffee first."

Cahya just nodded her head. She turned to her mother-in-law to prepare breakfast.

"Dad, Dad, today Daddy's taking Malika and sister to school yes," pinta Malika to the father who had looked fun himself with the cellphone he had.

The child's words forced the Clouds to momentarily ignore the phone in hand. "Son, I'm sorry. Today I can't take you to school. I have an appointment to meet with the relationship, dear."

"Bhhhh .... What father? It's Alina's first day and she's in school after a week off. Dad didn't want to take us to school?" alina protest.

Cahya who heard that was all also a little surprised. Because usually, if not out of town, her husband always took the time to take her two daughters.

"What time and where is Mas? Time can't just drop the kids off for a second?"

"Hour half-nine I've got to arrive at the Merapi Valley restaurant. There I have a business relationship."

"But Mas, it's still seven. The distance from home to school is not far, right? Just a few minutes have arrived."

"But...."

"Here Wan, take your children and your wife!" timpal Marni, pruning Cloud's speech.

The cloud is slightly wrinkled. "Introducing Cahya? Where is she going, Mom?"

"Turn your wife to Wan Mall. Let him refresh. Or accompany your wife to walk in the mall," proposed Marni anyway.

"Oh Ma'am, I just can not deliver the children for fear of being late, this was instead told to accompany Cahya around the mall. That's right, Mom!"

Marni and Cahya throw one another a glance. They did not expect if the cloud more menomorsatkan work compared to his family.

"Yes, you don't have to take me. Just take the kids to school. Don't disappoint them."

The clouds let out a rough breath. Inevitably he had to obey the requests of his children this time. "Alright, I'll take the kids but not to take you for a walk or to Ay's salon."

The bitterness ambushed the walls of Cahya's heart. It felt a little pain but as much as possible he did not show in front of the mother-in-law, husband and children.

"Yes, it's okay. Let me walk alone."

"Well, that's much better. Oh yeah, get me a little breakfast because later at the restaurant I'll definitely order food."

Cahya nodded obediently. He took half a centong of rice complete with Cloud's favorite rib soup. Not long after, the dish was presented in front of the clouds.

The clouds began to scoop up the food provided by Cahya. Slowly, the food enters the oral cavity and begins to enter the esophagus. But not for long....

Hoekkk.... Hoeekkk....

Brak!

"Taste what is this Ay? Why is it so salty? You want to make me hypertensive?!!!"

The sound of the dining table buzzing was heard filling the ceiling of the room which successfully made everything in this room shocked half to death.
