One Slap

Kate wakes up from her sleep feeling her throat is dry, perhaps sighing too much due to her hot play before going to bed.

Kate picked up her clothes that had fallen on the floor and put them back on after she walked out of the room to the pantry on the floor.

"Freshly," he said as the water had soaked his throat.

Before returning to her room, Kate wants to see Mich in her room because the child is sleeping earlier than her bedtime.

At the sight of Mich, Kate frowned because Mich's forehead was sweating a lot even though the AC in the room was still on.

Kate quickly examines the child's body and is surprised not to play when Mich's body is hot with a sharp breath. Without waiting any longer Kate directly carried the child and brought to his room to wake Nick.

"Nick, Nick.." cried Kate.

Nick looked up and opened his eyes slowly.

"Wake up Nick! We need to get Mich to the hospital!" yell Kate again.

Nick immediately sat down his body.

"Why, Kitty?" ask Nick again with his shirt on.

"The body is hot and crowded. Come fast!"

Nick drove his car at an above average speed. While Mich is still in Kate's arms with Mich's breathing getting weaker.

Upon reaching the hospital, Mich was immediately treated at the emergency room.

And after half an hour, a doctor approached Nick and Kate with a riled face.

"You're her parents?"

"Yes Doc."

"Fortunately you brought him in on time, his pulse was already very weak when he was brought here. The boy had an overdose of sleeping pills! Did you give him sleeping pills?" ask the doctor full of questions.

Of course Nick and Kate are surprised not to play hear that.

"What's? An overdose?" Nick does not believe.

"Patients should be hospitalized for further observation!"

"Give me all the best for my son, Doc!"

And Mich occupied one of the VVIP rooms at the hospital.

"I'm sorry Daddy, Boy!" said Nick who kept holding his son's hand.

Kate who saw it felt grateful to have seen Mich in her room earlier.

"About who put the sleeping pills on Mich?" ask Kate later.

"Whoever I will not forgive him and must be legally processed!" said Nick furious.

Kate approached Nick and hugged the man from behind.

"We can definitely find the culprit but before that we focus on Mich's health first" Kate said.

"Thanks, Kitty. If anything happens to Mich, I won't forgive myself!"

"Maybe I already have an instinct as a mother. I'm cool, right!"

Nick started to snort. "Yes, you're cool. Now rest let me be the one watching!"

"Mich my son too, I'm on guard with you. Now there's no you and I there's only us!"

"I'm going to buy coffee" Kate added.

Kate comes out of the room to buy coffee but her steps stop to see Lusy and Laura who are trapped in the hospital corridor. They had previously woken up the waiter on Nick's orders and followed him to the hospital afterwards.

"Mama-in-law," scolded Kate.

Lusy who saw Kate approaching her blindly vented her frustration at the girl.

THE PLAQUE!

One slap landed on Kate's cheek.

"It's all because of you! You're the one who brought bad luck to my family! If anything happens to my granddaughter, it's your fault!" shouted Lusy then.

After saying that, Lusy passed leaving Kate who was still holding her cheek that was hit by a slap.

Laura of course smiled triumphantly at seeing it all. Before he felt fear, he had not expected that the sleeping pills he had given Mich would cause any side effects to the boy. But seeing how Lusy slaps Kate makes the fear disappear instantly.

Kate was still in her place.

"I should have taken Nick eloped!" kate's murmuring tried to hold back the emotions.
