Chapter 55. Unforgiving

Riana immediately wiped her tears as Niko sat looking to walk towards her. Niko was sitting next to Riana who was sitting in a chair in the corridor of the hospital.

"Sorry," said Niko with sincerity.

Riana immediately stared towards the voice that sounded full of regret. He had never heard Niko speak like this. This man has changed a lot unlike Niko who used to do anything she wanted and there is no wrong word let alone regret.

"Maybe I'm late but I'm really sorry about all the pain and tears that have been drained because of me. You have the right not to accept my apology" continued Niko.

Riana was speechless and did not respond to Niko's remarks because she took some time to accept the man's apology. Even though they work hand in hand to advance the village does not mean Riana has forgiven and forgotten her past just like that.

After congratulating Mother, Riana and Niko rushed home because it was dark while Steve was left at Niko's parents' house.

After an hour's drive, Niko's car stops right in her parents' yard.

"Mommy," greeted Steve as Riana got out of the car.

Niko herself has told her past with Riana to her parents. Mr. Toni, his father Niko even asked him to marry Riana but Niko has not expressed his intentions. He knew Riana would definitely reject him especially with all her mistakes in the past.

Riana immediately raised Steve's stocky body with great difficulty.

"Ah, you're getting heavier than Steve," complained Riana again lowered Steve's body which almost went up into his stomach.

"Steve was more delicious than Mommy's daughter" Steve told the story.

"Thank you?"

"M." Steve nodded.

"We're home." Riana took Steve's hand to go home.

"Son Delia," cried Toni's mother.

Riana immediately turned around to hear a voice calling her name.

"Feed first, you'll be hungry." Bu Toni looks at Riana at a glance and then at Niko who appears to be sitting in front of her car.

"Steve's a sweet kid and you don't have to worry about Steve's granddaughter, do you?"

Riana only smiled bitterly as Bu Toni said Steve was her grandson.

"We're saying goodbye, Mom." Riana kissed Bu Toni's hand and Steve did the same thing not to forget Steve also kissed Niko's hand.

Riana slowly swung her steps down the village road that was already very quiet even though the time showed at eight o'clock at night.

Looks like a man half-run following her who is none other than Niko who was forced by her mother to take Riana.

"You don't have to take us, there's Steve who will take care of me" Riana said as Niko aligned her steps.

"That means there's no place for me to be by your side." Niko immediately pulled Steve's body up to his back.

"How's Steve, do you like to ride on Daddy's back?"

"Mm really like Daddy, Steve wants to always go up to Daddy's back so that Steve is not tired because Steve does not have a car here" complained Steve.

These few months Steve never even complained but somehow when he was with Niko all his complaints came out.

"You should be grateful Steve you have strong legs and a healthy body as long as you have legs you can go anywhere you like but

if you don't have healthy legs and body even though you have a car it's not fun" explains Niko full of wisdom.

"Steve would rather have Daddy's legs than have a car" Steve said.

Riana only listened to the conversation of the two without coming to understand. Their steps stopped when they were in front of Riana's house but when Niko was about to lower Steve, it turns out Steve was asleep on Niko's back.

"I'm gonna put Steve to bed when you get in." Niko had Riana wait for him on the porch.

After five minutes Niko came out.

"I go first" said Niko.

Riana directly entered did not press Niko's statement. Niko just sighed and left. She indeed deserves such treatment from Riana with all her deeds in the past.
