I came across a place Gabriel said was a basecamp the man he said could teach me capoeira. It's like an unkempt sports building.

Said I should meet a guy named Fox—an unusual name here, maybe just a nickname. I approached a large tall man with a shiny brown complexion and a caucasian woman who was sitting there chatting. They're sweating. Maybe after jogging or something.

Gabriel didn't tell me clearly what the man looked like and exactly what to say.

“Hai, is there anyone here named Fox? ” my question to them.

The woman stood up and looked at me with a judgmental look. Her beautiful face looks unfriendly. “You are a tourist yes,” he said in a tone of wonder. “What do you need with me?” intimidating tanyanya.

So Fox is a girl? Still young. Obviously yesterday Gabriel called it 'him' instead of 'her'. Substantial. I'll get him later.

The woman was about 165 inches tall, about ten inches taller than me. So I kind of looked up when I talked to him.

“Hai,” my ap awkward. I knew from his tone that he had some kind of leader aura. “I want to learn capoeira. Someone told me you were a good teacher. So I came here.”

“Hmm. Tourists usually do not come here. There are several capoeira schools opening classes for tourists who are traveling,” Fox said again.

“I'm not traveling and planning here long enough,” I explained.

Fox's eyes glinted creepily. “Despite not just traveling you're still a tourist. You will not have enough time to learn capoeira well, because training your physique will be quite troublesome.”

So he didn't carelessly train someone, so Gabriel had me persuaded. But I know persuasion will not work in this situation. Maybe I should compromise a little. “Begin only. My friend said your training was pretty hard. How about we make a deal? If I could survive the physical training you said, you'd teach me all about capoeira.”

I was waiting for his decision. Fox is kind of creepy actually. But I won't give up now, not when I really want something.

It seems like he is considering my request. His expression was unpredictable. But, he finally spoke. “Alright, you are accepted. Hard training. I doubt you'll survive. You can stop anytime,” he said coldly.

“You take care of him yes!” fox said to the man next to her.

I didn't realize the man was still standing here. Fox is dominant. The man looked friendly, and he came up to me.

“I Rio,” said friendly.

“Maya,” my answer is a bit dreamy. I still can't believe Fox really accepted me. My feelings are a little overwhelming. Gabriel recognizes him as the strongest capoeirista he knows. I can't wait to learn soon.

“What are you thinking about?” rio asked in surprise to see me still like a daydream.

I shook my head. “That's not what I was thinking. I was surprised that he accepted me so quickly. Looking at his nature, I thought we would argue a little longer before he accepted me. I even thought he wouldn't accept me whatever I said.”

“Oh, the,” he said casually. “You certainly don't know. But actually it's been a long time no one has trained so we can only go on the logo together. But today we got two new workout buddies at once. I'm so happy, I'm tired of being defeated by Fox. I need someone I can beat,” he said as he patted me on the shoulder.

I frowned, not understanding. “So you'll train me? Not Fox?”

“Why? You're not satisfied?” Rio pretended to be offended.

“I think it's better to train with you. At least you're not fierce.”

“Maybe that was the goal. Fox is a little less patient. So, a very novice person like you is indeed better off dealing with me first to practice the basic things.” Rio explained.

“Mong-By the way, who told you about this place? Not many people know that we often train here.”

“You know Gabriel who works at Souvenir store?” I asked back.

“Oh, that Gabriel. Of course me and Fox know him. He practiced here. But he stopped halfway because his asthma was recurring. He's a guy who has a good sense of humor,” Rio recalled.

“She is indeed a pleasant friend although sometimes a bit strange. O yes, Gabriel didn't tell me about the dues payment. Do I have to pay now or how?” I may have forgotten to ask about the money. What if my money isn't enough. There is still a lot of money from Sin. But, I don't know how long it's gonna last if I keep living touristy here without working.

Rio laughed at my question. “Did Gabriel not tell you?”

“Tell me what?” I don't understand, much less what Gabriel didn't tell me.

“We do not apply any dues. Fox and I teach anyone who looks serious to learn without having to pay.”

I still don't understand. “Wait, so you teach for free? What benefits do you get from this?”

"Actually until now we only taught about six people. All six people are great and have potential, some are not. Most of them stopped in the middle of the road. Our training was quite strenuous, so many couldn't stand it. Some are resistant, but instead change direction and no longer intend to learn capoeira. Only one person actually survives to the end," Rio explained.

"If asked what benefits we get I am confused what to answer. Maybe there is nothing directly. It's just a hobby or something. Anything else you want to ask? ” asked Rio to me after he explained at length.

“Where is the person who can survive to the end of it now? Why isn't he here?” I'm getting curious.

“This is not a capoeira school. We are not an official container. So now he is in the right official place to develop his talent,”. His face looks a bit sad.

“Enough to ask the answer. There's still plenty of time for that. So when do you want to start practicing?”

I answered. “If you have time, how about now?”
