Princess Endut
199. Black Dress

Weva stood in front of the mirror as she put together her long black dress that she had just ordered. Weva thought for a moment and brought the short black dress up to the knee in her right hand.

Weva clicked her lips. It felt like she was confused to choose what dress she would use later tonight. Tonight she has to look beautiful in front of Brilyan at dinner tonight.

Weva put the two black dresses on the bed. Tapping his chin thought. He stared at the two dresses in turn with his face still thinking.

"Wear which one, huh? Long or short dress?"

"The short ones are good, but the long ones are also good. Ouch, dizzy. Which one should I choose, dong?"

Weva breathed. She laid her body on the bed in the middle of two black dresses. His eyes looked at the two dresses and he moved his head to the ceiling of the room.

"Who's advice, huh?"

"Vivi? Ah, where do you know him. If Mama's most choose a dress that's pink than black."

Weva's confused face now gradually smiled. He found an idea to ask.

"Ken!" weva said so happy.

Weva reached into her pants pocket and pulled out her phone intending to contact Ken.

...***...

The faces of Ahmad and Laila sitting on the sofa right in front of her son, Ken with a look that looks so shocked. He did not understand what was going through his son's mind.

"Kneken! I wasn't wrong, was I?" ask Laila.

Ken shakes. He still tried to keep smiling hoping for approval from both parents.

Laila snorted in annoyance. She scratched her non-itchy head while her husband was seen rubbing his face as if he could no longer think.

"Can you, sir, Ma?"

Laila stopped the movement of her scratching hand. Staring at her husband for a moment and staring back at Ken.

"Kneken! Mama does not mean to prohibit achieving ideals but you do not have to go far away from college."

"In Jakarta, there are not many places to study why should you go to Jogja, kiddo?"

Ken's speechless. His hands clutched together while propping up his lips.

"Betul Ken. What your mother said was true. You're the only son of Father and Mama so there's no way we can separate living with you."

"If you live in Jogja how do you eat and drink. Who wants to take care of your living gear later?"

"The most important thing is how our lives will be if there is no you son in this house.you, are our only child. You want to leave your father with Mama here. Yeah, right Ma?"

"Hem, right," said Laila while nodding.

Ken folded his lips inward while nodding slowly.

"Ma, sir! Ken knows that Ken is the only child but Jogja Ken is not alone. There's Grandma, right there? Grandma also lives alone in Jogja."

"If Ken lives in Jogja with Grandma, Grandma also has a conversation partner. Grandma's not home alone anymore."

Mr. Ahmad breathed a long breath.

"You know for sure you just called Grandma, right and Grandma who invited you to live there?" guess Ahmad made Ken nod.

"So how? Can you, Ma, sir?"

Laila fell silent. She looked at her husband who also did not know what to say.

"Are you really going to Jogja?"

Ken nodded.

"Related?"

"Related."

"Seriously?"

Ken laughed a little.

"Something Keken seems to be joking?"

Laila looked the other way. His son's face had always looked so serious.

"Sure you won't miss your Mom too if Ken lives there?"

"And we can VC if Ken misses Mom and Dad."

Laila fell silent. She looked back at her husband, who was seen holding her head.

"Pa! Can, right?"

"Ask your mother, you don't know," refused Mr. Ahmad looking for an excuse not to answer.

Ken turned his head to look at Laila who was still thinking hard.

"Ma, can you, right?"

"Well, it's okay if you want to go to Jogja Keken for college, Mama mayin just but to try to stay there tomorrow you just go to Jogja."

"Tomorrow?"

"Yes tomorrow. Think of this as a trial let us know what it's like to live without the same father Mama," she explained and then touched the soft back of her husband's hand.

"Well, it just so happens that Keken also has a test so Keken has a lot of time off. After Keken stayed a few days with Grandma, Ken will know to choose to stay at home with Grandma or stay with Mama."

Ken nodded with a sign of understanding until he who was just silent glanced at his shaking phone in his pants pocket.

"Well, Ken went to the room, yeah," Ken got up from the couch.

He pulled out the phone with the two eyebrows linked staring unexpectedly at the name listed on the screen. Not long after that little smile appeared making him quickly run up the stairs and pick up the phone after he was in the room.

"Hello Endut."

Weva kept the phone away from her face. His forehead frowned at Ken's confused gaze indirectly. Fat guy? Who's fat here?

"Sorry, yes Weva is not fat anymore."

Ken laughed a little. He sat on the edge of the bed to deflect his position talking to Weva.

"Yes, yes I know. Why, why tumben call."

"Yes, Ken, Weva is dizzy again."

"Dizziness why else? The exam is over when you want to get dizzy again."

"Ish, Weva isn't dizzy with exams."

"Well, what on, dong?"

Weva got up from her bed. She looked back at the two black dresses that had confused her.

"Later tonight, weva's gonna have dinner with Brilyan..."

Ken's breath seemed to be stuck in his chest after Weva returned to calling that name. Again and again he must hear it.

"Certainly Weva had two black dresses, well the thing is Weva didn't know which one to wear."

"Weva's confused Ken. Weva thought she wanted to wear this dress or this one. The dress is equally pretty."

"The difference is that there is a long dress and there is a short one, well about Weva wear a long one or a short one?"

Weva was now silent waiting for an answer from sebrang but, there was not the slightest sentence he heard from the listener.

"Ken!"

"Emm?" sahut Ken who is aware of his daydream.

"Where? How is it even diem?"

"Oh, um, what's the difference between the dresses?"

Weva thought for a moment.

"There was a long dress and there was a short dress. Which one does Ken like?"

Ken stepped towards the window staring at the view beside his house.

"The dress is long."

"The long?"

"Yes, if the long dress looks more polite and."

"And?"

"And looks like a princess."

Weva smiled faintly. His cheeks flushed red upon hearing what Ken had said.

"Oky if that's how long Weva used it. Uh, it was, yeah! Weva wants to prepare what Weva needs later. Thank you, Ken."

The severed connection left Ken's body looking stiff. His hands still hold the phone he still puts on his cheek. His face looks flat as if there is no picture of Ken's cheerful face that is always on Ken's figure.
