Promises From the Past

Promises From the Past
Misdirected

The seven Assassins who were ordered to kill Edward were eliminated by Soldiers and Elissa. Even so, the feeling of soldiers is somewhat uncomfortable with the incident this time.

Elissa saw the confusion on the face of the Soldier, which made her know, if there was anything the Soldier was thinking about and it was serious enough.

"Have something happened ? Or maybe you ate the wrong thing ?." Elissa asked confused.

"For food, I'm quite used to the meat Wagyu super A5 or Sembikiya queen strawberries for one month... But this is about Edward's killer, why would that guy just send out a small-grade Assassin like them ?. Isn't it strange, if it really wanted to kill the famous rich man from the Swalldwon family, it would definitely hire a much more capable Assassin." Soldier said to something stuck in his heart.

But Elissa did not think so, she who in fact was a top class Assassin, had to accept defeat for one move when fighting Soldiers first. So it was not impossible to defeat the other seven Assassins alone.

"Why do you think so?, are you just humbling yourself to your ability to assume that our enemies are useless ?." Reply Elissa with a bitter smile.

"It's not like that either, yes I admit a bit of a hassle when fighting earlier." Designate one person who was the opponent before.

Continue the Soldier speaking...."But if it's really my premonition, there's still one Assassin hiding in this place."

Given that Elissa gave the code if there were seven Assassins who came to kill Edward and that was from what she just saw.

As for the top-class Assassins, hiding themselves, sneaking around and killing targets without being noticed by anyone was already their forte.

The soldier immediately turned his gaze back to Edward's place, where the Soldier was clearly looking for the useless man, but he could not find him.

"Where's Edward...."

"You're right. He's not around anymore." Elissa was surprised.

In fact it is true, the seven Assassins captured were only a bait for Soldiers and Elissa focused on getting rid of them all. Of course this made Soldier aware, if the man knew that the Swalldwon family also hired Assassins to look after Edward.

And now, he has got his target, but certainly, the person did not immediately kill Edward because in the crowd of guests, would certainly create mass panic.

Soldiers climbed to the second floor, watching from above to confirm Edward's whereabouts could not be found around the place before.

Descending back down to the first floor, Rea who was not far from where the Soldiers approached him.

Seeing the confusion on Soldier's face, Rea asked...."What are you looking for, soldier ?."

"Rea, did you see that brat passing by." Ask the soldier suddenly.

As if Rea understood the terms Soldier said ..."You mean Edward."

"Yes that..."

"Before she went out with someone I thought it was her friend..." Answer Rea.

"G ... Si*al." The soldier was angry for himself.

"What's up, soldier, why are you so upset."

"It's not important, but thank you, I'll go to the toilet for a second." Soon the soldiers ran out.

"Askar where are you going, the toilet's going that way." Sure Rea pointed in the opposite direction.

The soldiers heard no words from Rea and immediately went out to chase the Assassin who took Edward away. Looking from a distance, a car had just left the parking lot, a glimpse of Edward's shadow was indeed inside.

"I'm late...." The soldier glanced left and right he found nothing to chase after the car.

Until not long ago, the red Feriarri car stopped next to Soldier. Elissa was quite responsive to the situation now, she had already taken her car and was ready to chase.

"Askar let's go up."

"Do you have a SIM." Ask Elissa.

"Do we need that now."

Elissa jumps into the passenger seat, allowing the Soldier who takes over the wheel to chase after Edward.

*******

In an abandoned abandoned warehouse, a black car stopped to take out a person with his head covered in black cloth.

The man forcefully and violently pulled Edward's body to follow him into the barn.

"Hurry up...."

"Can't you be softer, I don't see anything right now." Edward tried to bargain.

The man didn't care for Edward's complaint...."Don't say much, I'm not paid more to answer your words."

"Then I can pay you more to let me go."

"It's a pity that I'm bound by agreement, I'm only ruled by one man until my mission is over." The answer.

"What does that mean is you refute the saying, if money can buy everything."

"But not with life. I also have rules to get you to this place and also make sure you don't run away until it's over." Reply with firm stance.

An Assassin knew the rules they upheld, while on a mission, treason was a despicable act and also a violation of the guild's rules. When that happens, they will be hunted by the guild's executioners.

Unless the mission they take is complete, the Assassin has the right to take the request of others even if it interferes with the previous mission.

Inside the building, a slightly fat man was waiting...

Edward was tied to a chair, when his headgear was removed, and Edward recognized who he was now.

Stanfill Cardness..

A friend, more precisely an acquaintance of Edward where they were in the same faculty. But being an acquaintance certainly does not make them familiar to each other.

"Oi, oi, oi, oi. fat what you're doing, let me go, do you know the consequences of playing games with me." Edward was full of emotion.

Card's face looked scared, he hesitated when he had to deal with Edward.

"Are you deaf, let me go quickly."

Although trembling with fear Card tried to remain confident in his actions...."No, I'm not gonna let you go, you're gonna have to pay for everything you've been doing."

The Assassin man he hired had finished his job with Edward and had now handed Cardness a gun.

"Thank you so much for helping me, Mr. Shadow." Said Cardness bowing her head politely.

"It's been my duty, I don't even care about the grudges you have, but hearing you thank me, I think you're wise enough to appreciate the work of others."

Cardness picked up the gun given by the man and walked in front of Edward.

"I've been waiting for this moment... You know, every day, every day, I'm patient to pay for what you've done, but now, no matter you're Swalldwon's son, your life is in my hands." Resolute greeting Cardness.

Now between him and Edward has only one goal: to kill Edward with his own hands.
