Not Loving Him But Needing It

Reuhan repeatedly tries to contact Kyra using her secretary's phone when Reuhan thinks it's possible that Kyra has blocked her, but the same thing remains, Kyra's number cannot be reached. Reyhan could not calm down because of it and it made Reyhan's secretary wonder.

"Sir, who are you trying to contact?" dika asked Reyhan after Reyhan returned his phone in a state that looked agitated.

"My love" replied Reyhan.

Dika who heard that speech froze in place with a look of disbelief staring at Reuhan. Dika knows Reyhan as a superior and a widower who failed to move on not from his ex-wife but from his former lover. Reyhan is an unapproachable man, as Reyhan always closes his heart to any woman. But now the boss mentioned the word my lover, and it obviously surprised Dika.

"Love," his parrot stared in disbelief at Reyhan who looked back in annoyance at him.

"Is something wrong?" asked Reyhan cynically who Dika quickly responded with a headband.

Reyhan returns to his study, sitting restlessly in his study trying to guess why Kyra cannot be reached. "What's wrong with her? Don't tell me he purposely avoided me?" reyhan murmured, making the person who Reyhan was currently unaware of was already standing in front of the door of his room laugh.

Reyhan raised his head staring towards the door and saw Sean's presence there.

"What are you laughing at?" asked Reyhan annoyed

"An hour ago you said you were dating Kyra, and now you say she's avoiding you. What's this joke?" sean said as he stepped in and sat on the sofa, still laughing at Reyhan who was increasingly upset.

"What do you think? Why is the phone not active?" tanya Reyhan chooses to calm down when Reyhan realizes Reyhan needs a friend to talk to.

"You're officially dating? Does he agree or does he have to accept you?" sean's question again upset Reyhan, but was unable to get angry when Reyhan realized what Sean said was not entirely wrong.

"I didn't force him, but indirectly I didn't accept his refusal" Reyhan replied again making Sean laugh.

"Seans. Stop laughing at me!" reprimanding Reyhan with such a sharp gaze, managed to stop Sean's laughter.

"It's possible that the phone ran out of battery" Sean said.

"An hour ago she was just active when I drove her home. I asked him not to avoid me and he promised me that. Why is the phone not active?" ask Reyhan again.

"You drove him home? You serious?" sean asked doubtfully.

Reyhan nodded his head. "I told you we're officially dating."

"Rey. Does he know about you?" sean asked again which Reyhan could clearly understand.

Reyhan was silent at Sean's question. What Sean asks makes Reyhan limp when Reyhan starts to feel afraid if his status becomes an obstacle for them together.

"Will my status be a big barrier to being with him?" reyhan asked with a face that looked anxious.

"I needit. I want him with me. I wouldn't be able to do it without him" Reyhan said.

Sean was sad to hear that. Happiness seems so hard for Reyhan to achieve. Looking back, Reyhan never made the same mistake that Sean and Niko did where they often let a lot of girls down and did other bad things. 

Among the three of them, Reyhan is the best in all, only one mistake Reyhan made was not telling Maria the truth and not fighting for their love. It was the only mistake Reyhan made, but fate seemed to be unceasingly troubling Reyhan. As Reyhan has managed to break out of the shackles of guilt, regret and sadness, obstacles come back to prevent Reyhan from being happy when status and age become a big difference for him and Kyra.

"Rey. If you can't be without Kyra and need her in your life, that means you love her. I'm glad to hear that, I'll help you fight for it." Sean looked pityfully at Reyhan who was bowed limp.

"I don't love him. I need her because her presence makes me forget Mary. As you know, I love Maria so much" Reyhan replied.

"I think you're wrong. You love Kyra, Rey. I understand very well how you are. I know you love that girl. Be honest with your feelings, Rey. To make things easier" said Sean.

Sean knows very well what Reyhan really loves Maria, but Sean also knows very well how Reyhan when Reyhan is in love. Reyhan is not a man who is easily so sincere with a woman, Reyhan never approached any woman before and after Maria even though Reyhan had touched another woman when Reyhan really needed her.

From all the ways Reyhan tells about Kyra and chasing after Kyra, Sean can realize that his best friend has feelings for the beautiful girl of Dwayne descent. It's just that Reyhan hasn't realized it all when Maria's name hasn't completely come out of his heart.

"I know myself better, Sean. I just love Kyra. I needed Kyra just to get away from Maria" Reyhan replied, still denying Sean's words.

Sooner or later, you'll realize all that, Rey. You love Kyra, I'm pretty sure of that. Sean's inner self chose not to reply to Reyhan's words about it.

"What if I go to his house?" ask Reyhan.

"For?" 

"To see firsthand his condition and make sure of everything" Reyhan replied.

"I don't think it's necessary. Don't go after him that much, Rey. He's still very easy. Try to more calmly approach her, find out everything she likes and dislikes. Don't let this way make her feel uncomfortable. Because comfort is the main capital to establish a relationship with someone," Sean explained.

"You're right. It looks like you look a lot more mature than me now" Reyhan chuckled.

"of course. Don't forget I'm a father now" Sean replied laughing.

The two continued the conversation more casually, Sean kept advising Reyhan about many things related to Kyra.

"Oh yes, today I met with Maria and Dinda" Reyhan said again turning the conversation into more serious.

Sean is eager to ask about Maria, but remembering that Reyhan hasn't completely forgotten about Maria makes Sean undo it to ask about Maria. "What about Dinda now? After not seeing each other for long enough, what is she like now? Aren't you thinking of trying to get back at him? He obviously loves you. I think he's more suited to you than Kyra, too" Sean said, leaving Reyhan speechless.
