Rahim My Friend

Rahim My Friend
Chapters. 31

"Nirma, can you still hear me?"

Rico tries to keep Nirma conscious. The woman was already in the handling room. Neighbor Nirma managed to bring Nirma to a hospital which was none other than the Hospital where Doctor Rico worked. Because indeed from the apartment occupied by Nirma, the closest hospital is the Hospital where Rico doctors work.

The doctor initially did not care when he found out there was a pregnant patient who had just entered the IGD room. But when at a glance he saw the patient's data on Nirma, the man immediately ran to check directly. How shocked Doctor Rico was when he found out that Nirma was in pain.

"Tok, the patient has a stomachache" said one of the nurses in the room.

"What about the child in the womb?" asked Doctor Rico so as to make some of the nurses who were there look at each other. However, they do not know that the patient is pregnant.

"He's my patient" said Doctor Rico again to make all the nurses who were there do not feel suspicious anymore.

"We will conduct further checks. Do we need to do an USG? The patient did not bleed. It should be okay."

"Of course we have to do USG. I have to make sure myself that the child in the womb is okay." Rico's doctor checked Nirma's pulse again.

That morning Doctor Rico really freaked out. He immediately brought Nirma to be examined. While walking Rico picks up his phone to contact Jenny. The woman should know about this matter.

Unfortunately, Jenny's number could not be reached. But Doctor Rico saw that there were some missed calls from Jenny.

"This morning I was too busy to hold my phone. I better not call Jenny first. When something new happens, I call Jenny so she doesn't worry."

Doctor Rico immediately entered his room to perform further examinations.

...***...

Jenny looked at the voice on the table with an unfeeling face. She wasn't pregnant obviously she didn't have the taste to eat it. Seeing the young mango that has been sliced and ready to eat actually makes Jenny have to swallow her own saliva. Not just eat it Jenny can already feel how sour the young mango.

"Darling, why are you quiet? Quick tasting. Mama deliberately woke up early in order to make this rujak. Mama's so happy to have Ali's trust to take care of you while she's out of town."

"But Jenny doesn't like to run, Ma," Jenny said with her innocent face. Although this pregnancy had to be covered but still Jenny could not force her mouth to enter a dish that tasted sour and spicy. It was better for him to think of another way that the young mango would not get into his mouth.

"It turns out you're different from your mother when you were pregnant. When Ali was in Mama's stomach, Mama loved to eat young mangoes. But indeed pregnant women cannot be generalized. Then Mama will get rid of this monk from before you because you seem to hate this rujak a lot."

"During pregnancy, Jenny likes to eat sweet foods. Is that dangerous, Ma?"

"No dear. Just don't overdo it. The most inedible foods are raw or undercooked foods. You also can not often eat instant food. Occasionally if the cold may, but not every day."

"What if I eat kebabs often? Is that not a problem?" Suddenly Jenny remembered Nirma who loved to eat kebabs. Almost every day the woman consumes it.

"Isn't there a celery leaf inside the kebab? Should not often because celery leaves are also raw foliage. We don't know how the washing process works. Your gestational age is still very young so it's best taken care of so well."

"Alright, Ma," Jenny replied without protesting. He searched his cell phone there but was not found. Jenny wanted to send Nirma a message not to eat kebabs of raw vegetables. Jenny knew that Nirma loved to eat baked, undercooked food and raw vegetables.

"Where's my phone? I think I brought it," Jenny murmured inwardly.

"Darling, don't you want to sunbathe outside to let mama hang out?" bargaining in-law Jenny.

"No, Ma. Jenny wants to call Ali. Jenny wants to know if Ali's on a plane or not."

"Then mama and papa sunbathe in the side yard huh."

"Yes, Ma. Jenny go to the room first." Jenny quickly walked up the stairs. The woman wanted to take her phone and call Nirma. Jenny's in-laws looked at each other with happy faces.

"Our daughter-in-law is indeed a very kind and polite woman. Even though he did not like the rujak but he could still reject it with gentleness," said the father-in-law.

"Usually pregnant women are very difficult away from the husband. Jenny was very spoiled for Ali. Looks like he's too heavy to let Ali go out of town. But how else? Ali also has to keep working for the future of his family."

"Yes, you're right. Let's go there before the sun gets higher."

...***...

"What's wrong? Did something happen?" ask Jenny worried.

"Someone took Nirma to the hospital. He said that his stomach hurt," said Rico in the welfare there.

"What's? How is Nirma now? How's the son doing." Jenny got out of bed.

"After we checked everything was fine. It turns out Nirma just ate the wrong thing. What the hell are you doing, anyway? Why is it so hard to contact."

"My parents came home. Ali's sister had to go out of town and my in-laws decided to take care of me in this house. I'm really stamped on it because I have to keep covering up this fake pregnancy."

"Don't I already say. You can't stay in that house. You have to think of a way that you can leave them. I know it's sukit. But you should be able to do it for the baby you want. Nirma also should not stay alone if it is pregnant like this."

Jenny let out a rough breath. "I've been thinking about. But Ali couldn't possibly agree to it. Now I'm going to the hospital to see Nirma's condition."

"no need. You better think of a way to persuade your in-laws that they'll take you somewhere far away from them. Nirma will be my business. Once you get a new place to live, then I'll take Nirma to that place."

Rico immediately disconnected the phone call. Jenny who still could not calm down just cursed in her room.

"He thought leaving this house was as easy as turning a palm. Now I have to talk to my in-laws to understand my situation. I can't possibly make them suspicious either."

...***...

The sun was getting higher and it was time for lunch. Jenny and her two in-laws were already at the dinner table. This time Jenny was happy because she was going to eat her in-laws' cooking. Jenny was bored to eat the waiter's cooking all this time. To cook for himself he would not be excited if there was no Ali in the house.

It didn't take long for them to finish the food that was on the table. After they finished lunch, they still stayed at the dinner table to chat.

"Ma, there's something Jenny wants to say to you. Jenny also wants to ask for the same solution mama."

"What's up, honey? Quickly say. Why is your face so serious?"

"Ma, Jenny wants to get out of this house." Jenny's heart was not calm.

Jenny's words left her two in-laws in deep shock. They didn't expect that Jenny would say such a sentence.

"Are you and Ali in trouble? Tell Mama if you have any problems." Obviously, Jenny's parents-in-law couldn't calm down anymore.

"No, Ma. It's because of Jenny's pregnancy. For some reason Jenny wants to live in a quiet village but stay calm and safe. Jenny hates life in the city. Is it true that this is a baby or just Jenny's desire. Jenny doesn't know either. Every night Jenny dreams of a Villa surrounded by tea gardens and mountains. Isn't that beautiful Ma? Jenny knew if Jenny brought Kak Ali to live in the villa, Kak Ali could not work. So now Jenny is very confused as to how. But before this child was born Jenny wanted to stay in the Villa like that, Ma."

Jenny doesn't know if this plan works or not. What matters is that he is trying hard now.

Jenny's parents looked at each other. Obviously they can't provide a solution because Ali is not there at the moment. Allowing Jenny to leave the house and stay at a Villa would only make Ali angry at them.

"Darling, you better call Ali and tell me what your destination is. Mama's sure Ali will understand. But while at the villa, who will accompany you?"

"Jenny has a best friend named Nirma. He has no family and no relationship with anyone. Nirma wouldn't mind if Jenny asked to stay together at the Villa."

"The nose you met at that restaurant?" ask her parents-in-law to come back to make sure.

"Yes, Ma. What about Mama? Is she a good woman."

"Yes. She's a good woman and is perfect for making friends with you. Now you call Ali and tell me everything. If Ali agrees, let mama and papa decide the place. We'll find a safe place for you to live."

Jenny smiled happily at him. "Thank you ma. Thank you." Thank you."

Being too happy, Jenny got up from the chair and ran to hug her parents-in-law. "Jenny loves mom and dad."
