CHAPTER 33 Abdar Bariq

For three days Rahman enjoyed his role as a new student and today is his fourth day at the school.

As usual, Rahimah had woken up from dawn to cook, she also today cooked a lot for Rahman's provisions. He even put rice in three different supply places.

One for Rahman, one for Rayan and one for her friends. Yes, since Rahman told me he had a new friend, Rahimah always made more supplies to share.

Before Rahman left to be picked up by Rayan, Rahimah gave a message to Rahman.

"Rahman, don't forget the keys to the house are brought, later maybe mama will go home a bit bad. Mama has prepared food if you are hungry later, do not go anywhere while mama is not home?"

"Yes ma" Rahman replied as he sat down in the chair to start breakfast.

"Oiya, lock the door when you get home, another one .. don't open the door for people you don't know" Rahman nodded in understanding.

Rahman began his breakfast with his mother in silence, this was the custom of Rahimah when Mr. Ramlan was still alive among them.

"What event is there in the boarding school? Just try if Rahman is not in school, Rahman wants to come along ..." said Rahman when he was done with his breakfast.

"Huss, don't talk rich. Some of you are just school, when you want to skip. Mama also does not know what event, Bu Ustadzah Habibah just asked to be accompanied to the pesantren." Reply Rahimah while cleaning their food containers and move to the washing place.

"When will Rahman come with Ma?" rahman said prepare.

"Yes, if you'll be invited again." Said Rahimah while washing dishes.

The car that picked up Rahman came, Rahimah drove him to the yard.

"Rahman departs, Assalamualaikum." Rayan waved her hand in the car.

"Wa'alaikumussalam." Rahimah smiled as she returned her vibes.

After Rahman's departure, Rahimah also prepared to leave. Because soon Ustadzah Habibah will come to pick him up.

A few minutes later, Ustadzah Habibah came by his car and driver. Rushing Rahimah down from the second floor, then locked the door of her house and into the car along with Ustadzah Habibah to the pesantren.

"What's the show, ma'am, at the boarding school?" when the car was running Rahimah ventured to ask.

"That, his brother's mother's student who studied with his mother .. Some converted to Islam and today he will say the creed in the pesantren Mosque," explained Ustadzah Habibah.

"If not wrong, you have met the mother's student who is a mua'laf. You remember that?" Ustadzah Habibah glances at Rahimah.

"When is Mom?" Rahimah scrunched her forehead while looking towards Ustadzah Habibah.

"When you were alone and there was no Rahman, then you sowed a mother's seam dress home," immediately the memory of Rahimah twisted on the incident ten years ago, he did feel remembered but only vaguely because it had been too long.

"Yet remember, but still forget," he answered hesitantly.

"It's okay, I'll introduce you there," said Ustadzah Habibah.

Quite far from the journey they took, approximately almost an hour later they arrived at the boarding school.

When he arrived at the pesantren, Ustadzah Habibah immediately went to the Ustadz Rashid room and asked if the person he was waiting for had come or not.

It turned out that they had not come yet, because the show had not started either. Ustadzah Habibah also invited Rahimah to go to the kitchen at the pesantren. Ustazah Habibah introduced Rahimah to Ustadz Rashid's wife and sister.

"Rahimah, this is Madinah. Madinah and her husband and son lived in this cottage," said Ustadzah introduced her.

"Rahimah, ma'am," they shook hands with each other.

"Dinah."

"And this, his wife Ustadz Rashid. They also live here, just like Medina."

"Beautiful."

After getting acquainted Rahimah helped Madinah and Indah cook for the lunch of the santri sons and daughters, while cooking they told each other about their lives.

"So you're actually here? But long settled in Bandung and just moved again here?" when Madinah only knew about the residence of Rahimah.

"Yes, mom. Now, it's been almost a week I've lived here," I'm Rahimah.

"Means twenty-five days soon the death of your father dong yah?" timpal Lovely.

"More or less, about one week later mbak," Indah and Madinah also oohh when they know about it.

"Why did you move to Bandung?" Rahimah gasped in shock, getting such a question from Medina. It never interacts with anyone other than those who already know about its mass, so this is the first question for the Rahimah.

Once in Bandung, Khadizah would say if she was a widow who left her husband when Rahimah was pregnant. So most of the guys about never asking her.

"Emm, don't understand me either. Maybe because it's the way it's been yah mbak, we so moved?" confused what to say.

"Well, maybe fate has brought you there." Rahimah could only bear to say what Madinah said.

"So soon Brother Adit came, I just called" said Maryam preparing breakfast for her brother.

"Why should you call him?" Cristian asked with a frown.

"Well get him here, do you want to reach?" Cristian clucking .

"Sister, why did you tell Adit to come here?" ask him again.

"Well make it between us," the answer makes no sense Cristian thought.

"You're taking Adit? You think you can't drive what? Lagian ... You can also turn it on yourself? Why ask for Adit?" Cristian shook his head inexhaustibly with Maryam, if Adit came he was afraid of being worked strangely by Adit later.

"My goal is to step on Adit's feet, not just be a driver but also friends brother later, so don't be nervous and nervous." Mary laid breakfast in front of her sister.

Bread with chocolate jam and hot tea, Maryam re-applied another loaf of bread for herself and her son.

"What are you not nervous about? Or scared of it?" Cristian looked at the sister who was also looking at him with a face that could not be interpreted.

"Any ... I used to be nervous just as scared, huh? How's brother not yah?" Maryam handed over the bread to Intan.

"Why get nervous and scared?" ask Intan with a sense of curiosity.

"Emmm, don't understand either.. Suddenly, my mom got nervous and scared when she was sitting in the middle of the crowd, and everyone was watching her." Said Maryam while shrugging her shoulders.

"A lot of people, huh?" cristian asked him to stop eating and looked at Maryam.

"Yes dong, will the show be in front of the crowd."

"Ehh, what is it?" Cristian gasped a little when he found out about it.

"Well, is that the rule?" maryam answered ambiguously, Cristian suddenly came to mind.

"Means rich Intan, dong mah? Time is told the teacher forward to the front of the blackboard, make a short letter memorization ... Intan gets nervous and scared, because at the thought of friends." Intan shuddered in horror at the end of his sentence.

"But that's just a look at your classmate dear, if this .. maybe more." He said leisurely while biting his bread.

Cristian opened his eyes several times, then he looked at Maryam and Intan alternately. He was confused as to what to say, hearing the explanation of the mother and child.

"What is the event anyway? How many people are nervous?" Intan asked on the sidelines chewing it.

"Eemmm, buaaaatt--, uh,"

"Assalamualaikum, come to breakfast dong?" maryam's sentence hangs because of Adit's arrival.

"Wa'alaikumussalam." answered in unison.

"Sinih brother Adit, let me olein his bread." Immediately Take bread to apply jam.

"What do you want?"

"Grove." Adit said as he pulled up a chair and sat down near Cristian.

"Don't be nervous, bro, I'll meet you." Adit said casually to raise his eyebrows, as if mocking.

Cristian did not say, he again chewed his bread. But somehow it feels difficult to chew, either because of Maryam's accuser who told her experience or because of Adit's ridicule.

After breakfast together, Cristian and the others prepared to leave immediately. Today Intan is off and will join her mom and her om going to an event.

Cristian who initially said not nervous and afraid it turns out he had only felt it when the trip was half way. What else when I hear Adit's words.

"Just say everyone isn't there, ignore them and focus on your goals." Adit glanced at him at a glance and looked back at the streets.

Everybody is! Will there be many? thought Cristian.

Cristian even now seemed deaf to the commotion his sister and nephew made in the back seat, his mind divided into how many parts.

Cristian gulped, suddenly he felt a chill. He felt as if someone had swallowed him alive when the car they were riding in arrived at their destination.

"Let's go down, we're here." Take Maryam down, but not with Cristian still in the car.

"Eemm," he murmured, coming out slowly .

They also walked in through a large iron fence high, there are several buildings lined up neat and well maintained. There are so many children passing by, some are out and some are heading for the building.

While passing through the courtyard which was heavily planted with various kinds of flowers, they were greeted by a middle-aged woman in her scarf and veil covering the chest.

"Assalamu'alaikum, Ustadzah Habibah" said Maryam, kissing the back of her hand, followed by her little daughter.

"Wa'aikumussalam" replied Ustadzah.

"Let's go straight into Ustadz Rashid's room" he asked. They immediately followed behind.

Arriving at Ustadz Rashid's room, after greeting them and sitting down, they chatted briefly with Ustadz Rashid and Ustadzah Habibah.

"Let's go Maryam, we go back .. There's someone I want to introduce you to, '" said Ustadzah Habibah teaching Maryam to the kitchen in the cottage.

"Okay Ma'am, my sister went with Bu Ustadzah first yeah .. come on Intan," he said to Adit and Cristian, who answered a nod from them.

"Later we will hold the pronunciation of the Shahadah during a routine study event at this mosque, along with the scholars and students of santri purta and princess."

Cristian gulped down with bad breath, indeed he never thought that would say the Shahada before the crowd. He thinks enough of himself and Ustadz Rashid alone.

Without feeling cold sweat coming out of his palms and temples, suddenly his body felt more limp than when he was in the car earlier.

This is what his sister and best friend meant earlier, do not be nervous and afraid, assume everyone does not exist. It was so bad that he ran away from the place he was sitting in.

Though he was never afraid of anyone, even when he did circumcision that time was not as nervous and scared as this, somehow hearing the person who would see it made him become really nervous.

There will be scholars and santri, it will be a free spectacle.

But wait ... indeed why should he be afraid, did he not make a mistake? He will only recite the Shahada, so there is no need to be afraid. Cristian murmured in his heart.

Cristian gasped slightly as Adit who was sitting beside him whispered. "Just relax, don't strain rich that's kale," Cristian glared her eyes at Adit.

"Don't look at me too, don't be ashamed of what you'll see, Mr. Ustadz," Cristian sighed, looking at Ustadz who glanced at him. He smiled awkwardly.

"Oiya sir Ustadz, does Tian need to change his name?" adit diverted attention.

"If the name is not good (according to religion), then it is recommended to change the name after converting to Islam. Because, this name change became a clear marker has changed his religion he became Islam. Because, he (maybe) be asked why change his name, then know if he converted to Islam. Then, the name he had when he was still not amended (not believing ) may not be appropriate (with Islamic characteristics), then replaced with Islamic names, such as Shalih, Ahmad, Abdullah, and others, Muhammad, Abdurrahman and so on. If his name indicates that he "saved" to other than Allah, eg 'Abd al-Masih, 'Abd az-Zahrah, 'Abd Moses, 'Abd Isa, this must be changed because no one is worshipped except Allah. So it must be changed by names such as Abdullah, Abdurrahman, and the like. If the name does not contain any element of servitude to other than Allah, but the names are known as the names of non-Muslims, then it is better to replace them." Ustadz Rashid.

Adit nudged Cristian's arm, so he could talk and not just be quiet. Understood with that Cristian then cleared his throat.

"Eiem."

"Then, I asked for a name .. I wanted to replace it," hearing what Ustadz Rashid said, it could be concluded that his name was classified as non-Muslim, so he bernit replaced it.

"Well then, soon the show will start, please wait a little while longer," Critian nodded in understanding.

"Imah" those who were talking came to a halt when someone called him.

Rahimah, Madinah and Indah turned towards the door, they could see Ustadzah Habibah with a beautiful Muslim woman holding a daughter and walking towards her.

"Yes, Ma'am ..." said Rahimah.

"This is Maryam, the mother's student whom I told you about" said Ustadzah.

"Well, this is what was his son in hospitalized at the time?" ask Maryam to the womb.

"Ehhh yes, this sweet sister yesterday is the same as Rahman yah?" said Rahimah while rubbing Intan's head.

"So, Rahman yesterday one room was the same Intan?" tanya Ustadzah.

"Yes ma'am" they answered in unison.

"That means remember Maryam? Who were you doing stitching to Mom's house?"

"Inget a little, time pantes in the hospital .. as ever met," said Rahimah.

"Yes .. I am also rich to have seen mbak, but doubt hehe," said Maryam.

After a long conversation the event will begin, the kiyai already occupy the mosque available in the pesantren and so are the santri sons and daughters.

"Bismil was bornrahmanirrahim, Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb" Ustadz Rashid opened the show.

"Wa'alaikumussalam" replied the pilgrims.

"Alhamdulillahi rabbil’aalamin, wash-sholaatu wassalaamu ‘ala isyrofil anbiyaa i walmursaliin, wa’alaa alii washohbihi ajma’iin ammaba’adu."

"The praise and gratitude that we always offer to Allah SWT who always intercede for all of us, both in the form of healthy physical and spiritual blessings, as well as sustenance given in each day."

"So that we can gather together in good health Wall Afiat, Aamiin, Aamiin Ya Robbal Alamin."

All quietly listened to what their Ustadz had to say.

"In addition to being in touch, we will also be watered with this beautiful and blessed tausiyah and hopefully also can add knowledge for all of us. Aamiin Yes Robbal Alamin."

"And don't forget sholawat and greetings to our Prophet, the Great Prophet Muhammad SAW. Which as has led the Muslims who are the most diridhoi religion by Allah SWT."

"Without lingering, let's start today's event. The first event will be held recitation of the Qur'an recited by santri putra, and the meaning will be read by santri putri." Ustadz Rashid allowed two students to teach and weaken it.

...أَعُوْذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِِْ...

“When you read the Quran, you should ask Allah for protection from the damned devil.”

...بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ...

"By the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Merciful"

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اَوْفُوْا بِالْعُقُوْدِۗ اُحِلَّتْ لَكُمْ بَهِيْمَةُ الْاَنْعَامِ اِلَّا مَا يُتْلٰى عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى الصَّيْدِ وَاَنْتُمْ حُرُمٌۗ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيْدُ

"O you who believe! Keep promises. Livestock shall be made lawful to you, except as it shall be mentioned to you, by not permitting hunting while you are at pilgrimage (hajj or umrah). Verily, Allah has ordained the law as He wills."

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا لَا تُحِلُّوْا شَعَاۤىِٕرَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلَا الْهَدْيَ وَلَا الْقَلَاۤىِٕدَ وَلَآ اٰۤمِّيْنَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُوْنَ فَضْلًا مِّنْ رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَانًا ۗوَاِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُوْا ۗوَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَاٰنُ قَوْمٍ اَنْ صَدُّوْكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ اَنْ تَعْتَدُوْۘا وَتَعَاوَنُوْا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوٰىۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوْا عَلَى الْاِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ ۖوَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ شَدِيْدُ الْعِقَابِ

"O you who believe! Do not violate the sacred shia of God, and do not (break honor) the haram months, do not (disturb) the hadyu (sacrificing animals) and the qala'id (signated sacrificial animals), or, and do not (also) disturb those who visit Jerusalem; they seek the bounty and the pleasures of their Lord. But when you have completed Ihram, you may hunt. Let not hatred (you) for a people because they block you from the Mosque, encourage you to go beyond (to them). And help you in (doing) good deeds and piety, and do not help in sinning and enmity. And fear Allah, verily, Allah is severe in punishment."

حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمُ الْمَيْتَةُ وَالدَّمُ وَلَحْمُ الْخِنْزِيْرِ وَمَآ اُهِلَّ لِغَيْرِ اللّٰهِ بِهٖ وَالْمُنْخَنِقَةُ وَالْمَوْقُوْذَةُ وَالْمُتَرَدِّيَةُ وَالنَّطِيْحَةُ وَمَآ اَكَلَ السَّبُعُ اِلَّا مَا ذَكَّيْتُمْۗ وَمَا ذُبِحَ عَلَى النُّصُبِ وَاَنْ تَسْتَقْسِمُوْا بِالْاَزْلَامِۗ ذٰلِكُمْ فِسْقٌۗ اَلْيَوْمَ يَىِٕسَ الَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ دِيْنِكُمْ فَلَا تَخْشَوْهُمْ وَاخْشَوْنِۗ اَلْيَوْمَ اَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِيْنَكُمْ وَاَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِيْ وَرَضِيْتُ لَكُمُ الْاِسْلَامَ دِيْنًاۗ فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ فِيْ مَخْمَصَةٍ غَيْرَ مُتَجَانِفٍ لِّاِثْمٍۙ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُوْرٌ رَّحِيْمٌ

"Bordered for you (eating) carrion, blood, pork, and (meat) animals slaughtered not upon (name) Allah, who is strangled, who is beaten, who falls, who is gored, who is choked, and that which the wild beast strikes, except that which you slaughtered. And (also forbade) slaughtered for idols. And (it is forbidden) to vote for fate with a commandment (the arrow), (for) it is a wicked deed. On this day the disbelievers have despaired of (defeating) your religion, therefore fear not them, but fear Me. On this day I have perfected your religion for you, and I have sufficient My favor for you, and I have accepted Islam as your religion. But whoever is compelled by hunger, not by sin, then surely, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

يَسْـَٔلُوْنَكَ مَاذَآ اُحِلَّ لَهُمْۗ قُلْ اُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبٰتُۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُمْ مِّنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّبِيْنَ تُعَلِّمُوْنَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللّٰهُ فَكُلُوْا مِمَّآ اَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ ۖوَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَرِيْعُ الْحِسَابِ

"They ask you (Muhammad), “What is the penalty for them?” Say, ”That is made good for you (is food) and (the hunt that is caught) by the hunting beasts that you have trained to hunt, which you have trained to hunt, what you have trained according to what God has taught you. Then eat what he catches for you, and say the name of Allah (when he takes it off). And fear Allah, verily, Allah is swift in His reckoning.”

اَلْيَوْمَ اُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبٰتُۗ وَطَعَامُ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ حِلٌّ لَّكُمْ ۖوَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَّهُمْ ۖوَالْمُحْصَنٰتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنٰتِ وَالْمُحْصَنٰتُ مِنَ الَّذِيْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ اِذَآ اٰتَيْتُمُوْهُنَّ اُجُوْرَهُنَّ مُحْصِنِيْنَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِحِيْنَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذِيْٓ اَخْدَانٍۗ وَمَنْ يَّكْفُرْ بِالْاِيْمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهٗ ۖوَهُوَ فِى الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخٰسِرِيْنَ ࣖ

"On this day shall be made to you all that is good. The food (melt) of the People of the Book is lawful to you, and your food is lawful to them. And (for whom you marry) the women who keep honor among the believing women and the women who keep honor among those who were given the book before you, if you pay their marriage to marry her, not for adultery and not for domesticating women. Whoever disbelieves after faith, their deeds are in vain, and in the Hereafter he is among the losers."

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْٓا اِذَا قُمْتُمْ اِلَى الصَّلٰوةِ فَاغْسِلُوْا وُجُوْهَكُمْ وَاَيْدِيَكُمْ اِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوْا بِرُءُوْسِكُمْ وَاَرْجُلَكُمْ اِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِۗ وَاِنْ كُنْتُمْ جُنُبًا فَاطَّهَّرُوْاۗ وَاِنْ كُنْتُمْ مَّرْضٰٓى اَوْ عَلٰى سَفَرٍ اَوْ جَاۤءَ اَحَدٌ مِّنْكُمْ مِّنَ الْغَاۤىِٕطِ اَوْ لٰمَسْتُمُ النِّسَاۤءَ فَلَمْ تَجِدُوْا مَاۤءً فَتَيَمَّمُوْا صَعِيْدًا طَيِّبًا فَامْسَحُوْا بِوُجُوْهِكُمْ وَاَيْدِيْكُمْ مِّنْهُ ۗمَا يُرِيْدُ اللّٰهُ لِيَجْعَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِّنْ حَرَجٍ وَّلٰكِنْ يُّرِيْدُ لِيُطَهِّرَكُمْ وَلِيُتِمَّ نِعْمَتَهٗ عَلَيْكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُوْنَ

"O you who believe! When you want to pray, wash your face and hands up to your elbows, and sweep your heads and (wash) your legs up to both feet. If you are junub, then take a shower. And if you are sick or on the way or come back from the place of defecation (gauge) or touch women, then if you do not get water, then bury with good dust (holy); wipe your face and hands with that (dust). God does not want to trouble you, but He wants to cleanse you and perfect His favor for you, that you may be thankful."

وَاذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيْثَاقَهُ الَّذِيْ وَاثَقَكُمْ بِهٖٓ ۙاِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَاَطَعْنَا ۖوَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلِيْمٌ ۢبِذَاتِ الصُّدُوْرِ

"And remember the gift of God to you and His covenant which has been bound to you, when you say, “We heard and we obeyed.” And fear Allah, verily, Allah is All-Knowing of all hearts."

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا كُوْنُوْا قَوَّامِيْنَ لِلّٰهِ شُهَدَاۤءَ بِالْقِسْطِۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَاٰنُ قَوْمٍ عَلٰٓى اَلَّا تَعْدِلُوْا ۗاِعْدِلُوْاۗ هُوَ اَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوٰىۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ خَبِيْرٌۢ بِمَا تَعْمَلُوْنَ

"O you who believe! Be ye as enforcers of justice for Allah, (when) bear witness justly. And let not your hatred of a people compel you to be unjust. Be fair. Because (fair) it is closer to the fear. And fear Allah, verily, Allah is thorough in what you do."

وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۙ لَهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَّاَجْرٌ عَظِيْمٌ

"God has promised those who believe and do good deeds, (that) they will have forgiveness and a great reward."

وَالَّذِيْنَ كَفَرُوْا وَكَذَّبُوْا بِاٰيٰتِنَآ اُولٰۤىِٕكَ اَصْحٰبُ الْجَحِيْمِ

"And those who disbelieve and deny Our signs, they are the inhabitants of Hell."

يٰٓاَيُّهَا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوا اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ اَنْ يَّبْسُطُوْٓا اِلَيْكُمْ اَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ اَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنْكُمْۚ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ ۗوَعَلَى اللّٰهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ ࣖ

"O you who believe! Remember the favor of Allah (given) to you, when a people intends to attack you with his hand, then Allah holds their hand from you. And fear Allah, and to Allah should the believers rely."

۞ وَلَقَدْ اَخَذَ اللّٰهُ مِيْثَاقَ بَنِيْٓ اِسْرَاۤءِيْلَۚ وَبَعَثْنَا مِنْهُمُ اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ نَقِيْبًاۗ وَقَالَ اللّٰهُ اِنِّيْ مَعَكُمْ ۗ لَىِٕنْ اَقَمْتُمُ الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتَيْتُمُ الزَّكٰوةَ وَاٰمَنْتُمْ بِرُسُلِيْ وَعَزَّرْتُمُوْهُمْ وَاَقْرَضْتُمُ اللّٰهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا لَّاُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْكُمْ سَيِّاٰتِكُمْ وَلَاُدْخِلَنَّكُمْ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِيْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُۚ فَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ مِنْكُمْ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ سَوَاۤءَ السَّبِيْلِ

"And indeed, God has taken the covenant from the Children of Israel, and We have appointed twelve leaders among them. And Allah says, “I am with you.” Verily, if ye practice prayer and do good deeds and believe in My apostles, and you help them, and lend Allah a good loan, I will surely remove your iniquities, and I will surely enter into the Gardens under which rivers flow. But whoever disbelieves among you after that, then verily he has strayed from the straight path.”

فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ مِّيْثَاقَهُمْ لَعَنّٰهُمْ وَجَعَلْنَا قُلُوْبَهُمْ قٰسِيَةً ۚ يُحَرِّفُوْنَ الْكَلِمَ عَنْ مَّوَاضِعِهٖۙ وَنَسُوْا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوْا بِهٖۚ وَلَا تَزَالُ تَطَّلِعُ عَلٰى خَاۤىِٕنَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ اِلَّا قَلِيْلًا مِّنْهُمْ ۖ فَاعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَاصْفَحْ ۗاِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ

"(But) because they broke their promise, We cursed them, and We made their hearts hard to make stone. They like to turn the word (God) from its place, and they (intentionally) forget some of the messages that have been warned to them. You (Muhammad) will always see betrayal from them except a small group of them (who did not betray), so forgive them and let them. Verily, Allah loves those who do good."

وَمِنَ الَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّا نَصٰرٰٓى اَخَذْنَا مِيْثَاقَهُمْ فَنَسُوْا حَظًّا مِّمَّا ذُكِّرُوْا بِهٖۖ فَاَغْرَيْنَا بَيْنَهُمُ الْعَدَاوَةَ وَالْبَغْضَاۤءَ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ ۗ وَسَوْفَ يُنَبِّئُهُمُ اللّٰهُ بِمَا كَانُوْا يَصْنَعُوْنَ

"And among those who said, “We are Christians,” We have taken their agreement, but they (intentionally) forgot some of the messages that had been warned to them, he said, and We caused enmity and hatred between them until the Day of Resurrection. And Allah will tell them what they have done."

يٰٓاَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ قَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ رَسُوْلُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ كَثِيْرًا مِّمَّا كُنْتُمْ تُخْفُوْنَ مِنَ الْكِتٰبِ وَيَعْفُوْا عَنْ كَثِيْرٍەۗ قَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ نُوْرٌ وَّكِتٰبٌ مُّبِيْنٌۙ

"O you people of the Book! Indeed, Our Apostle has come to you, explaining to you many things from (contents) books which you have hidden, and many (even) which he has left behind. Verily, there has come to you a light from God, and a Book that explains."

يَّهْدِيْ بِهِ اللّٰهُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ رِضْوَانَهٗ سُبُلَ السَّلٰمِ وَيُخْرِجُهُمْ مِّنَ الظُّلُمٰتِ اِلَى النُّوْرِ بِاِذْنِهٖ وَيَهْدِيْهِمْ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيْمٍ

"It is with this Book that God guides those who follow His cause to the way of salvation, and (with the Book) God expels them from darkness to light with His permission, and point to the straight path."

لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذِيْنَ قَالُوْٓا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْمَسِيْحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَۗ قُلْ فَمَنْ يَّمْلِكُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـًٔا اِنْ اَرَادَ اَنْ يُّهْلِكَ الْمَسِيْحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَاُمَّهٗ وَمَنْ فِى الْاَرْضِ جَمِيْعًا ۗوَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۗ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَاۤءُ ۗوَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ

"Truly, have disbelieved the one who said, “Truly Allah is He is the Son of Mary.” Say (Muhammad), “Who can hinder the will of God, if He is to destroy the Messiah son of Mary and his mother and all (humans) who are on earth?” To Allah belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. He created what He Wanted. And Allah is almighty over all things."

وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُوْدُ وَالنَّصٰرٰى نَحْنُ اَبْنٰۤؤُ اللّٰهِ وَاَحِبَّاۤؤُهٗ ۗ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُمْ بِذُنُوْبِكُمْ ۗ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ مِّمَّنْ خَلَقَۗ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَّشَاۤءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَّشَاۤءُۗ وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖوَاِلَيْهِ الْمَصِيْرُ

"Jews and Christians say, “We are children of God and His lovers.” Say, “Why did God torture you for your sins? No, you are a (ordinary) human among the people He created. He forgives whom He wills and punishes whom He wills. To Allah belongs the whole kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. And to Him all will return.”

يٰٓاَهْلَ الْكِتٰبِ قَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ رَسُوْلُنَا يُبَيِّنُ لَكُمْ عَلٰى فَتْرَةٍ مِّنَ الرُّسُلِ اَنْ تَقُوْلُوْا مَا جَاۤءَنَا مِنْۢ بَشِيْرٍ وَّلَا نَذِيْرٍۗ فَقَدْ جَاۤءَكُمْ بَشِيْرٌ وَّنَذِيْرٌ ۗوَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ ࣖ

"O you people of the Book! Indeed, Our Apostle has come to you, explaining (our Sharia) to you when the apostles cut off (delivery), so that you do not say, “No one came to us either a cheerful news anchor or a warner.” Verily, there has come to you a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. And Allah is almighty over all things."

وَاِذْ قَالَ مُوْسٰى لِقَوْمِهٖ يٰقَوْمِ اذْكُرُوْا نِعْمَةَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ جَعَلَ فِيْكُمْ اَنْۢبِيَاۤءَ وَجَعَلَكُمْ مُّلُوْكًاۙ وَّاٰتٰىكُمْ مَّا لَمْ يُؤْتِ اَحَدًا مِّنَ الْعٰلَمِيْنَ

"And (remember) when Moses said to his people, “O my people! Remember the favor of God to you when He raises up prophets among you, and makes you free, and give to you what has never been given to anyone among the people.”

صَدَقَ اللهُ اْلعَظِيْمُ

“That is true of ALLAH the Greatest.”

"Alhamdulillahi rabbil’aalamin, wash-sholaatu wassalaamu ‘ala isyrofil anbiyaa i walmursaliin, wa’alaa alii washohbihi ajma’iin ammaba’adu."

"All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, whom Allah SWT has created seven layers of heaven without pillars, and created seven layers of earth without hangers, and we the people of Prophet Muhammad SAW shelter on Him."

"Then we give to the proclamator of nature Muhammad SAW by saying the sentence “Allahumma sholli wasalim wabarik ‘alaih.”

"Hopefully we who are present here always get the intercession promised by the Prophet Muhammad, namely on the day of useless wealth, rank, children, and grandchildren. But only the heart of faith."

"Regardless of what Ustadz Rashid said earlier, that there will be a saurada of us who will embrace Islam, then we can say he is a special person. Wh why? Because guidance comes to him, and we as people who first embrace Islam .. must support it."

"A person who converts will certainly get the privilege in the eyes of Allah SWT."

"First. Removed Badness and Gained Goodness."

“If a servant embraces Islam, then his Islam is good, Allah writes down all the good he has ever done, and removes from him all the bad he has ever done. Then after that there is qishash (fair reply), that is one good is reciprocated tenfold to 700fold. As for one evil is reciprocated with the same, except Allah ‘Azza wa Jalla forgives him” (H.R. Nasai, no. 4998, is set aside by Shaykh Al-Albani in the Ash-Shahihah Lineage, no. 247).

"second. Sufficient Rizki of Allah SWT."

“Really has been lucky the person who embraced Islam and he was given sufficient sustenance, and Allah made him qana’ah (ridha; receive) with what He gave him.” (CHR. Muslims, Tirmidhi, Ahmad, and Ibn Majah)

"Not a few people claim to be limited to appearance, or because they were born to Muslim parents, or because they follow a Muslim-majority environment. It is not enough for a person to claim to be a Muslim, he must understand the meaning of his recognition as a Muslim."

"There is something that must be in a person in order to be a true Muslim, not a confession without proof, and so that his recognition as a Muslim is an honest and accountable confession."

" ‘True Muslim Commitment’ explains, so that the recognition of a person as a Muslim is true and can be accounted for, then there are things that must be done as a consequence of his recognition as a Muslim."

"First, islamize the creed. Recognition as a Muslim that must be done is islamic belief, which is true belief (salimul aqidah) in accordance with the Quran and Sunah. Believing in what the first Muslims, Salafussaleh and imams had recognized goodness, piety, piety, and a righteous understanding of Islam." 

"Second, islamic worship. Worship is the culmination of submission and awareness of the greatness of God. Worship as a link between beings and the Creator, and influential in the interaction between fellow beings. Thus, in a person will be internalized the presence of the hablum minallah and the hablum minannas."

"Third, moralizing. The main goal in Islam is for the Muslims to have a noble character. In order to be able to islamize morality, the consequences must be decorated with wara (hati–hati) attitude towards shubhat, holding eyes, guarding the tongue, shame, forgiveness and patience, honest, humble, away from prejudice, ghibah, p, and seek the reproach of others, generous and generous, and be a role model to others."

"Fourth, Islamize family and household. It is not enough to be a Muslim alone, therefore a true Muslim should be able to invite (defend) and fight for the community around him also to become a true Muslim society. And, the closest society is family."

"Fifth, controlling lust. The struggle against lust will continue to occur during life. As a Muslim, you should always strive to overcome lust. Therefore, it is fortunate that he who purifies his soul and loses to him who defile himself."

"There are three types of people against lust. That is, the type of person who is able to defeat lust; who always loses against lust, and who sometimes wins and sometimes loses against lust. Which type of person are we?"

"Ten entrances that are used by Satan as a means of neglecting humans to always lose against lust. Namely: ambition and bad thinking; love for life and long angan–angan; desire to relax and have fun; pride of self; belittling attitude and lack of respect for others; spiteful; riya and desire are praised; miserly; arrogant; and greedy."

"And, ten means of closing the entrance of Satan: the attitude of trust and acceptance; the fear of the sudden coming of death; the realization of the loss of the favor and the ugliness of hisab; remembering gifts and fear of consequences; recognizing the rights and honor of others; accepting and willingly giving from God to His creatures; sincerity; sincerity; and; be aware of the loss of all that is in the hands of the creature and of its eternal reward at His side; humble; believe in what is at His side; and dishonor on what man has."

"Sixth, believe the future belongs to Islam. The existence of Islam as a religion derived from Allah makes it more feasible and can govern life, control and lead mankind. Belief in Islam must reach the level of belief that the future belongs to Islam."

"If anyone can do this, he will be able to make his life only for Islam, as his vow is always repeated, “Truly my prayer, my worship, my life and my death are for Allah, God of the universe.” (QS al-An’am [6]: 162)."

"So .. being a convert is very easy. However, to get the blessing, the goodness of life from Allah SWT, you who want to embrace Islam must be based on sincerity, sincere only because of Allah SWT. After that, carry out the duties of an Islamic and keep his prohibition away."

"May Allah guide us Muslims to become true Muslims. Amen."

"Amen." Answer the jama'ah in unison.

"Well, for our brother who will perfect his religion .. welcome to come forward," Cristian gasped as Adit whispered the word, "Let's go forward ...."

Cristian walked forward closer to Mr. Kyai, his legs felt so heavy and vibrating as he tried to step up.

By closing his eyes and solidifying his trembling heart, Cristian followed Kyai's words.

"Ashadu anlaa ...."

"ilaaha illallaahu,"

"wa ashyamadanna,"

^^^"wa assyhaduanna,"^^^

"muhammadar rasulullah."

Once again mr. Kyai repeats by connecting the whole shahadah.

أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إلَهَ إلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ

That was followed by Cristian.

"Alhamdulillah" said everyone in thanksgiving.

After Cristian was told to take a big bath assisted by Ustadz Rashid, he was given a new cocoa shirt and sarong to wear. Then back to the process of giving a new name for him, namely Abdar Bariq. Due to the time approaching the time of Dzuhur, Cristian/Abdar was also told to participate in congregational prayers.
