Reaching Sky

Reaching Sky
A piece of the past

The dawn began to soften from the eastern horizon there, the thin fog that had originally devoured the expanse of the garden began to disappear, among the hoard of corn trees.

The sky stood stiff, hugging his own body that felt shivering, but he did not intend to leave the soothing beauty of nature.

"It's time for the harvest?" he asked Haris who was walking among the corn trees, choosing the right one to be picked that day.

"Actually not yet, according to an estimate of five or six days, but since you're here, so just get it as it is."

"But no matter what, you're still very young for sure."

"Younger is better Lang." he replied, accompanied by a small puckishness, then approached the sky and invited him to sit on the side of the garden with sacks of urea that had been washed.

"How's your job here, smoothly?" tanyanya while glancing at the sky that looks not excited.

"Lumayan om."

"You're having a problem Lang?"

"No, there's no."

"You don't have to lie the same om, you and your father are not much different, both can not hide the problems you are facing, say if you want to feel relieved, whatever it is ready to listen."

Seen Sky sighed, very hesitant to start telling stories, but on the other hand he also wanted to feel relief, and hope if the om can give a little advice.

"Oh yeah, how's your boyfriend doing?" asked Haris without taking his eyes off some of the corn that was being peeled.

"No girlfriend."

At once Haris stopped his activity turned to look at the sky that was staring at the path filled with and then the school children in different uniforms in front of him with a blank look.

"Your distant boyfriend hasn't come back yet?"

haris continued, he still vividly remembers when Heaven visited his house exactly Four years ago, and said that for the first time Heaven decided on a woman just for the sake of a little girl far away.

The sky turned towards the om with a forced smile, then looked straight ahead again. "It seems that now I'm not expected anymore."

"So he's back?"

The sky is small.

"You've already told her straight away, if you're staying away from her for something."

The sky looked down with a small coil, "he would not easily believe it like that om, and I think maybe my mistakes in the past have hurt him a lot, now he is an adult om." he replied softly, remembering a fragment of the many pasts he remembered.

Haris looks mangosteen, one hand raised stroking the shoulder of the handsome boy who became his nephew.

For the time being he was quite understanding of the mood of Heaven, and he would not ask his nephew to tell him more than this.

"Alright, you're an adult Lang, and om sure you can solve your own problems." Haris patted the shoulder of the Sky once more.

"Take him here, if you ever get his heart back."

The sky turned towards Haris, with a sincere looking smile, "Pray me."

Haris smiled back, "Sure."

"Well, before you go back to Jakarta, we burn corn at home om, you have to try, that corn planted directly with the hands om it feels different" he said with a small oddity, he said, holding some corn, with the help of the sky.

Walking away from the corn plantation area to his house which is not far from there.

"Welehh, you have harvested Ris," looked at the corn on his lap, "Don't forget to trade it to my compound tomorrow, I'll wait." said someone when he met him on the street.

"Eh Hasyim sir, not yet sir! it's not harvested yet, it's just that my niece from Jakarta is visiting, and will be back later in the afternoon, so I'll get some seeds to burn this morning" Haris explained.

"So it seems." there was a disappointed look that was heard behind the tone of the voice called by Hashim.

"This ah," handed three pieces of corn over to Mr. Hashim, who was seen frowning, "I will not tell Mr. Hashim to pay for it." said Haris when he realized the confused look on the face of Mr. Hashim.

"It's geratis?"

"Yes, he's furious now, but if he meets again, Hashim must pay for it."

"Bas on you."

Haris chuckled, "No, no! I'm just kidding sir, okay I'm first sir."

"Yes yes, thank you Corn Ris, oh yeah that's that thing you said?" glancing towards the sky who seemed to nod politely.

"Rubber sir."

"It's very handsome, he already has a partner, if you haven't tried to match with my youngest daughter Ipeh, Ris."

"Well, baby, yes, you have it!" mr. Hashim flicked his hand hinting that they should continue his delayed journey.

"Eat Lang, it's still warm." Ratna placed three pieces of corn that had been burned, on a plate that was given a banana leaf base.

"Thank you Tan."

"Sama-sama, so it's true that you're going back to town later this afternoon Lang?"

"Yes tan, the work there has piled up." replied Sky while biting the corn he had just taken.

"Frequently come here yes, do not forget to bring the candidates later."

Uhukk!

"You, slowly dong eat it." Ratna hurriedly took out a glass of water and handed it to the still-coughing Sky

"He said that couples like to be sensitive" said Haris, who had finished one piece of corn, and threw it in the trash.

"Tan, it'll be free time, right?" The sky was trying to divert the conversation.

"Why is that?"

"You want to take a aunt, buy something."

"There really is, but aunt can cancel."

"Eh, don't then! let me go alone Tan."

"It's okay, this is your last day here, besides the aunt event is not too important really, just discuss the contribution of buying souvenir supplies for the neighboring Darmasih bu across there, just discuss the dues, then just ask the other mothers the results of the negotiations."

"Yes, then we leave now Tan, om also come along!" glancing at the om who is now sharpening hoes in the corner of the kitchen.

"You go alone, om there is the service of repairing the front road, a lot of puddles from the sewers that seep into the streets." said Haris, moving to put the grindstone to its original place.

The sky drove his car through the slum alley as instructed by Ratna, to a market where around him there are many large shops selling various goods, starting from household prebot, electronics, and other products, clothes and all.

If outsiders who visit may not expect, if the slum and a little narrow it turns out there is a fairly large market in it.

"Lho you want to buy what Lang, why come in here?" ratna asked confused, the article is currently both in a store that sells various models of sofas and display cabinets.

"According to the aunt of all models of this sofa which is the best?"

Ratna shook her head, "Tante can not choose Lang, because this is according to aunty good all" he said, considering the sofa in his house that is almost unshaped.

"Also let me choose Tan." without waiting for an answer from the aunt who was certainly confused, the sky rushed to the store owner, pointing to a set of models sofa and a display cabinet, which is not the case, after her she wrote down an address on a piece of white paper, following her transfer payment.

Switch to a prabot store to buy a set of stove, and a rice cooker, and then buy a variety of models of clothes and food.

"Lang, so you're asking your aunt to take you for this, sorry auntie can't take Lang." Ratna protested as soon as she reached her home, followed by some shop workers who put in the goods that Sky had ordered earlier.

"I sincerely Tan, because this is all I can give to om and Auntie."

"Then how did aunt and om reply to Lang?"

"Enough is always healthy, and long life is enough for me Tan."

"That's everyone Lang's wish," said Ratna chuckling, with reddened eyes.

The sky chuckled, "Yes, one of them I'm Tan."

After making sure all the items he ordered into the house of Haris and Ratna, Skypun say goodbye to packing his belongings in the old house of the grandmother.

At once say goodbye to Ratna, and Haris who is still doing filial work on the road ahead, because the plan this afternoon he will go straight back to Jakarta.
