The woman did not look older than Aiden, but her style was truly like a mature woman with complex thoughts. From inside her bag, she also took out a box of cigarette packs. Then asked Aiden who was silent in front of him.
"You ... Where are you from?"
Aiden was then done with his musings, standing back from his chair to get off the top of this huge building and looking for at least a satisfying street restaurant.
"Eh?? Leaving someone behind and ignoring them while talking is not good behavior, you!"
Aiden was silent for a moment and turned his face back.
"You mind?"
"Ah, what a strange man. I don't mind at all, just telling you something....."
Aiden: "....."
The black haired woman along the back of the neck then raised something to show Aiden, it was her phone that she forgot to take. Inevitably, Aiden turned towards him to step up and stuck out his right hand. The woman thought that Aiden wanted her phone, so when the woman wanted to put her phone in the right hand that Aiden gave her, her right hand did not move in the slightest and did not want to catch her phone that fell.
His left hand reflexes were so quick to catch his phone that it fell casually without slouching in the slightest, stuffing his phone into his left pocket and still maintaining the position of his right hand like a person who wanted to shake hands.
"Tanga–"
"Let's meet me, Aiden Leonore, a student at Alexandria High School. How's yours?"
The woman then shook her hand and advised her to sit back as a new acquaintance. So, Aiden sat in his place.
"It's nice to meet you, me, Jillian Hilary, you can call me Lian, just a woman who owns a coffee shop."
"What's? Are you the owner of a coffee shop?"
Aiden asked with a pouting face.
"It can be said that way." Answer Lian.
"Lately I've been busy submitting documents and data to apply for jobs like restaurants or cafes, but no response has come for me yet."
Then Lian took out one card from inside her bag. He gave the card to Aiden, and said, "Come to my place someday if you're interested, I think getting one more worker is a better thing."
"I'll come tomorrow, and I'll even come tonight if you need me."
"You're too excited, Aiden. I like that, well on the card with my phone number, call me when you get home. Or..."
Aiden: "Or what?"
"Or I'll accept you right now, you just need to give me your identification."
Aiden: "Oh."
Then Aiden took out his identification card from inside his wallet, showing it to Jillian and Jillian was really simple, he immediately accepted Aiden as a worker at his coffee shop right now. Swapping contacts, Jillian then shared work admission schedules.
"Wait a minute, what's my job?"
Ask Aiden.
"Oh, of course you will be a temporary servant, and if you are professional enough to do a job as a barista, I will raise your position to that level including a salary increase."
"Then ... How much is my salary?"
"Aiden~ if a bullet has penetrated your brain out of nowhere the shooter came from, I hope it's paid for your question."
Aiden: "???"
"Don't put on such a silly and stupid face!! You just got accepted and immediately asked about your salary? You!!"
"Thank you for that, I'll take it." Answer Jillian.
Aiden has a new acquaintance who just became his boss, even so, their meeting is as a friend. So it's likely that Aiden will be the worker he's most familiar with. An unusual contrast is that people without jobs are only schoolchildren, but paying for their food is high-end fringe food.
"I'm really grateful for the deal, but...."
Aiden: "?"
"You're just an ordinary student who doesn't have a job, then, your parents must have an amazing job until you have enough money."
"I don't think so, I'm living a normal life that at least, isn't terribly difficult in terms of economics." Answer Aiden.
"May I know your parents' job? Which one is that? Your papa? Your mum? And one more thing, a watch like this, there was no way an ordinary student could have it except for a lot of money."
"Handshirt? Is this expensive?"
"You don't know the price? Even the brand?" Jillian asked with a slanted face.
"Of course not."
"Can you take that off your hands for a second? And let me see it."
"Oh, of course."
Aiden did not refuse to take off his watch and give it to Jillian, but the small object made Jillian's expression change, a regular birthday watch from his mother who turned out to be a Walker limited edition type watch that only produced at least fifty pieces, so of course there are only fifty watches like this in the world.
In American currency, this watch is priced at one hundred and eighty Dollars. That's a really high price. Then Jillian tried to put the watch on her hand, looking from all points with a happy face, she said "Well! This clock is really cool! You are! You barbaric man who pretends to be poor, how dare you become my employee!"
"Eh? So I'm being rejected?"
"No, keep working. Without pay, it might be better."
"Ahh, come on I'm not someone who has a lot of money, I told you it was a birthday gift from my mother."
"Oh, so? Then then? What's your mom doing?" Ask Jillian.
"Oh, of course, play the gadget and usually at a time like this he will create hot tea and cereal."
"I didn't ask you about what your mother did!!"
"But you ask me about what my mother did, I don't forget that question, and if you ask about her profession, then I won't answer you."
"Ahh, that's it."
Jillian took back her cigarette box and put a stick in her mouth while searching for her matches.
"You forgot your match, miss~" Aiden said as he held Jillian's match on top of the shopping building.
"Oh, thank you."
Aiden immediately came forward and lit a match in front of Jillian to burn her cigarette. This is the first time Aiden has burned a cigarette to a woman, it feels like Jillian is quite a unique woman.
"By the way, it's almost late at night, I have to go home now." Said Aiden while worrying about her mother.
"Alright then, next to meet tomorrow."
Aiden briefly recalled about the goat-headed figure inside his house, thinking about it, he had to go home as soon as possible to make sure his mother was okay alone.
