The Chapter 27 Rev

The entire village sat on the floor with a stiff posture. Their eyes were empty as if they were lifeless. Worse still under the bodies of the villagers, there were unknown red runes.

"Hehehe... If Huang Yi Zhen were to disappear, it would be fine. I still have the villagers who are stupid." Huang Chi grinned as he rubbed the small pot he was holding.

Huang Yi Zhen was left in great confusion. He did not remember well the rune related thing. He was not sure what to do, and did not know what to do.

"I'll offer you a choice." The old woman appeared again after tapping on Huang Yi Zhen's left shoulder tip.

"What's that?"

"I'll give you your memory. But it's not free." The old woman said while including a smirk.

"I know, there's no free lunch in the world." Huang Yi Zhen.

"The reward is your body, your body will be destroyed when the deadline for use arrives. If you don't die by Hu Lei's side, or don't solve the problems of this world. Then you inevitably have to return with me to the 'spring forest' place before you cross this world. Are you sure?"

Huang Yi Zhen set his breath, then rounded his resolve. He nodded his head at the old woman. "Alright, I'll restore your memory for a moment. The time limit for use is only until midnight. You should be able to hold on until midnight. Do you choose to die with Hu Lei or do you want to solve the problems of this world? You have to finish one of them."

Huang Yi Zhen nodded confidently. The old woman stretched out her arms to touch Huang Yi Zhen's crown. Huang Yi Zhen felt something heavy enter his head. The old woman grinned. So much memory makes a little cat in pain.

But Huang Yi Zhen had no time to get angry. These runes are called 'essence gathering formations'

From what Huang Yi Zhen knew, this formation would gather any essence including living or dead things. Then it turns that essence into energy. This is actually the evil way the demon race has.

This formation was famous for its high success rate, but the process of refining essence took a long time. Especially to take the essence of living beings. It takes at least half a day. Before the entire body was extracted, Huang Yi Zhen had to find the formation core to destroy the runes.

The Little Cat kept moving to search for the formation core. But the sound of footsteps began to sound. Huang Yi Zhen hid in the darkness to see who was coming. It was Huang Chi who appeared to inspect the urn. Behind him was another figure.

The woman with the claws of a fox swung her claws. That claw he used to attract the old ghost soul. Huang Chi's body fell down, fortunately Hu Lei caught it and placed Huang Chi's body onto the floor.

"Heh, a greedy old ghost will live, it must not be allowed to exist in this world."

In the end Huang Yi Zhen chose to transfer energy on Hu Lei, and continued searching for the formation core. Hu Lei felt a pure Yang energy that felt familiar. He was looking for someone who sent that energy. His vertical pupil caught a small black cat searching for the formation core. Hu Lei smirked in satisfaction, his attack becoming more ferocious.

Huang Yi Zhen immediately searched for the formation core. Until he finds a poci who are guarded tightly by an old ghost. Huang Yi Zhen thought maybe this was where the formation core was. He raised his cat's claws and dropped the pottery pot.

Sure enough, the red runes disappeared and the souls of the villagers returned to their respective bodies. Because of the effects of the burning of the body, villagers need time to regain consciousness. At the same time, Hu Lei managed to make the old ghost fall and was unable to do anything about it.

Huang Yi Zhen transformed himself into a human form. Hu Lei looked at Huang Yi Zhen who was standing with flushed cheeks. Hu Lei smiled widely. He could be sure that the shy man was regaining his memories. Hu Lei ran over to hug Huang Yi Zhen.

Huang Yi Zhen reversed his position and Hu Lei, so the attack would only hit him. The attack caused Huang Yi Zhen to cough up blood. Hu Lei immediately realized something was wrong. Simultaneously the old ghost soul disappeared.

The dying Huang Yi Zhen touched Hu Lei's cheek lovingly. "Thank you for coming to get me..."

Hu Lei looked at Huang Yi Zhen's face that was starting to pale. Hu Lei hugged Huang Yi Zhen and said softly. "Don't talk anymore, let me figure out how to save you."

"Xiao Lei, it's no use... Even if... I survived, I'll explode any minute..."

Huang Yi Zhen's breath began to fall apart. Hu Lei looked at his lover with a heart that was in pain. " Hu Lei's... L'm... Awaiting you... In the next world..."

Huang Yi Zhen's hand was raised to wipe away Hu Lei's tears. But before it touched Hu Lei's cheek, the hand had already lost its strength. Hu Lei could only cry silently.

The villagers began to wake up. They wondered when they heard Hu Lei's cry. They don't remember anything. They don't remember why they wore white. They could not remember why they were in the old temple that was supposed to be abandoned and dirty. They did not remember everything after the ghostly influence disappeared.

Huang Yi Zhen who was floating in the air saw everything. He wanted to hug Hu Lei longer so that Hu Lei would not be sad. But no matter how many times he tried, the effort would only be free.

"You have made it through the two great choices I gave you." The old lady appeared at an inopportune moment. Huang Yi Zhen was furious and swung his arm to attack the old woman.

"Pacify yourself, I will truly let you go if you truly pass through my Seven Worlds. Now that you've passed one, once you've gone through it all, I'll restore your memory completely."

The disgusting black portal reappeared. Although Huang Yi Zhen did not believe the old lady's sentence, he immediately entered the portal to travel the next world.

The old woman stared at the portal that was starting to close. A wicked grin appeared on his face. "Only if you really pass through my world."
