The girl holding Huang Yi Zhen had fallen asleep. Huang Yi Zhen looked at him, then looked at his little finger. The end of the red thread was not on the girl. As far as he knew, the thread was always at the end of Hu Lei's hand. And never there was.

Huang Yi Zhen had already tried to sleep, yet he was unable to sleep at all. So he decided to train, he tried to absorb world energy into his body. But there is no result at all. Huang Yi Zhen was struck by great confusion. How to increase his strength, if the means he knew of did not work at all?

Huang Yi Zhen walked out of the cave, he saw the cloudless starry sky. Sensing the air temperature was not as cold as before, he tried to walk out. Huang Yi Zhen tried to observe his surroundings with his spiritual energy.

Huang Yi Zhen felt the air of a living being other than the Girl, around the cave. Following the direction he felt, Huang Yi Zhen walked to the other side of the cave. Not far from him was a Mutant rabbit with green crystals on its forehead. The rabbit faced off against some strange, foul-smelling humans. Following the memories of the original body owner, the human smelled bad that was what was referred to as a Zombie.

Because of its evolution, the size of the rabbit almost resembles an adult cat. The rabbit stretched out its front pair of claws. Then the green plant tendrils shot out from its claws. The rabbit whipped the tendrils from its claws towards the Zombie. Zombies are stupid creatures without the ability to think. Moreover, the Zombie in the presence of the rabbit was only a low-level Zombie. The whip managed to make the rotten Zombie fall with its body chopped off.

The white rabbit looked snorting haughtily. The rabbit approached the corpse of the Zombie that was already motionless. His claws stretched out, then hit the Zombie's head. Huang Yi Zhen narrowed his eyes. That way he saw the rabbit seemed to be looking for something. But the rabbit did not find what he was looking for.

Huang Yi Zhen continued to follow the rabbit. The rabbit walked not far from the cave, the rabbit met a mutant plant. The plant is a wild grass that grows to a height of one and a half meters, due to its evolution. The rabbit moved to the side of the Mutant plant. The rabbit seemed to be sleeping. But the mutant grass rolled up the rabbit's body between the leaflets. The Mutant Grass choked the rabbit's neck quickly, so that the rabbit could no longer do anything but wait for the impending death.

When the rabbit no longer breathes, the tip of the grass leaves it moves towards the rabbit's forehead. The Mutant Grass forcefully pulled out the green crystal on the forehead of the rabbit. Then roll the crystal between the leaves. There was a soft yellow light around the body of the Mutant grass, the crystal was slowly fading and crumbling.

As Huang Yi Zhen looked at the Mutant Grass with spiritual power, the grass seemed to have an increasing amount of energy. "Do you now understand the workings of this world?"

The old woman appeared again suddenly. Huang Yi Zhen nodded. 'Outline I understand it. Wearing the crystal core of another mutant creature to improve. This way was more akin to the demonic way than the inner demon Huang Yi Zhen.

The old woman nodded her head. "The devil's nature is leaking energy and most of its negative energy is spreading to the human world. It is this negative energy that causes the world to change. The demon realm party also had no intention of fixing this matter, they instead deliberately expanded the leak and left the human world under control by the chaos."

Huang Yi Zhen frowned. That meant that in order to survive in a world shrouded in demonic energy, he would live in a demonic way. The way the demons were said to be filthy and despicable, a demon beast like Huang Yi Zhen did not like it at all. The old lady knew what Huang Yi Zhen was thinking. "Well you have to get used to the little cat"

Huang Yi Zhen clenched his claws. He should be able to! For survival! His memory!

Huang Yi Zhen ran towards the Mutant Grass. He wanted to try to get her to talk. Huang Yi Zhen was still a Demon who acted rationally, whereas Demons acted based on emotions, some did not even have emotions.

But before Huang Yi Zhen got close to the side of the Mutant Grass, the Mutant Grass approached him first. The grass swirled around Huang Yi Zhen, as if it was communicating. But Huang Yi Zhen did not understand what the Mutant Grass was doing.

'Let me come with you! You sweet little lion!'

There was a voice that sounded like the crisp voice typical of children, appearing on Huang Yi Zhen's head. Like a telepathic voice. Huang Yi Zhen glanced at the weaving Mutant Grass.

"Meow! Meow!"

'Don't be angry, let me come with you. I want to come with you! I want to come with you!'

Huang Yi Zhen's head was filled with the telepathic sound of the Mutant Grass. His head was throbbing with pain. Huang Yi Zhen tried to speak with his spiritual power to the Mutant Grass.

'Alright! Your whatever! I don't give a shit! Don't be noisy'

The Mutant Grass was weaving in a sense of happiness. It turned into a smaller grass and wrapped around the wrist of Huang Yi Zhen's front claw. Huang Yi Zhen ran back towards the cave. The girl who was carrying Huang Yi Zhen woke up, her facial expression looking delighted when she saw Huang Yi Zhen.

"Thank God you're back, I think I'm going to lose you" the girl said.

Huang Yi Zhen looked at the girl with his cat eyes. The girl felt that something was wrong, but she could not guess anything. After all after evolving into Mutant beasts, those animals would develop intelligence. From her behavior, the girl was sure the Mutant cat wanted to say something.

'Hello Brother, I have a new friend!'

Huang Yi Zhen jumped into the girl's embrace. There was shock in the pair of eyes of the girl as the voice of a grown man echoed in her head. In this cave there was no one else but him and the male Mutant cat in his arms. "Little cat, is that you?"

Huang Yi Zhen nodded. 'look I have a new friend '

Huang Yi Zhen revealed his wrist which was wrapped around by the Mutant Grass. The girl looked at Huang Yi Zhen's wrist. 'Brother, what's your name?'

The girl was still in shock. The voice of the adult man that was ringing in his head, was not in tune with the sweet cat in his arms. 'Sister?'

"Eh, my name ... Shen Li Yao, this year is 25 greetings familiar." Shen Li Yao spoke in an awkward tone.

Huang Yi Zhen had already guessed that the girl was not Hu Lei. 'greetings! Then call me Yi Zhen'

Shen Li Yao scratched her head. Did this Mutant Cat name itself? Or was he a pet cat before? There were many possibilities running around inside Shen Li Yao's head. Until he heard the voice of a grown man in his head.

'Brother, if it wasn't Big Brother who saved Yi Zhen back then, Yi Zhen could be gone. Then now Yi Zhen will take care of Brother.'

"Meow" Huang Yi Zhen rubbed his head into Shen Li Yao's hands.

Huang Yi Zhen was indeed very grateful to Shen Li Yao. If only Shen Li Yao had not warmed her up in time then, she might have had to ask the cunning old lady for help. It never hurts to go together on the way home.
