7. The Palace Banquet

While Chang Rui bought medicine with Qinlin, the Fourth Prince and his subordinates returned to the Palace and prepared to come towards the Palace Supper at the Lantern Festival.

The Lantern Festival was never a simple event as there would be a grand event each year that was celebrated by every generation of the Qing Dynasty Emperors.

All the Princes wore decent clothes, including Nangong Li or Nangong Xi. All of them wore the same clothes, but exuded different auras.

If the Crown Prince were to wear it then it looked like a bastard man who would trick women into entering his arms and then run away without responsibility.

And so, Nangong Li or the one known as the Fourth Prince looked like a mysterious and unreadable assassin.

The two entered the Palace and sat opposite each other, where everyone had come and welcomed the Emperor and Empress.

Nangong Li seemed not surprised by this, even appearing to be smiling thinly behind his mask.

"You ! Argh !!" The servant again shouted as his hand was broken by Chang Rui, Chang Rui pushed the servant away while the other servant looked surprised then immediately knelt down.

"The Oldest Miss ! You are asked to change your clothes immediately. " Say the other waiter.

"Good, you now understand the rules. " Chang Rui said coldly.

Chang Rui walked out with haughty steps but for a moment stopped and looked back.

"What else are you two waiting for ?! Do I have to walk alone ?" Ask Chang Rui.

The two did not dare to delay and accompanied Chang Rui towards the dressing room where Chang Qiao Ye and Chang Zi were already present.

"Rui'er saluted Father and second sister. " Chang Rui said politely and gracefully.

Chang Zi was surprised to see Chang Rui's composure, usually Chang Rui would cry and beg him to be released when the warehouse door was opened.

"Right now, you can't make the Emissary wait for long. " Chang Zi said.

"Of course, Rui'er did not dare to mess with her. " Chang Rui said as she lowered her body then followed the waiter and changed into clothes.

"The Oldest Daughter of Chang's House, Chang Rui. Will be the Fourth Prince's Wife, Nangong Li. The eldest daughter of the Chang House, Chang Rui, will be crowned Princess Li. The wedding will be in 1 week !" Said the eunuch.

"Thank you for the generosity, Your Majesty !" Said Chang Rui while prostrating and together with the other Chang Family members.

Chang Rui's mind was filled with all sorts of bad shadows, marrying someone with a disability was not a problem.

But, having a psychiatric disorder is not something that can be treated easily. Chang Rui felt that his head became aching, but could not resist this.
