Chapter 38

Shalunna is currently in a kaif sling that the man is about to take into the car, and she can now feel Kaif's body temperature from where they both touch. It made her comfortable and warm, and it also made her want to enjoy the warmth of her body temperature and not want to immediately wake up from the comfort of Kaif's sling.

However, a moment later, he came to his senses, and extending his hand, he pulled the man's clothes on his chest, he said, “Down me. I can walk on my own.”

Kaif immediately glanced at Shalunna. Kaif stared at her pale face like a piece of paper. Because of the cold, his lips that had lost their healthy red luster and now turned a purplish green color that looked unhealthy. However, his eyes were still bright and filled with stubbornness.

What is this woman trying to do.? How could he walk in the way he is now.? Kaif frowned and said in an unhappy tone,

"Why are you so strong.?" Kaif.

It was rare for him to treat a woman so gently, but Shalunna did not seem to care.

“I... I, I smell.” Shalunna said awkwardly. The water Elma had just sprinkled on him was dirty and smelled bad. How could a super clean freak like Kaif put up with it.?

In addition, her clothes were also custom-made, and she could not afford to pay for it if it made her dirty and smelly because of her.

Kaif's already dark face turned even colder. Shalunna was ready to be thrown down, but the man holding her accelerated and threw her straight into the passenger seat of the car.

"Did they sprinkle dirty water on you.?" Ask Kaif.

Even Kaif was well-informed but had never seen anything like it. He poured cold waste on his own daughter in the middle of winter.?

Are they family or enemies?

Getting a question from Kaif Shalunna did not speak, and she instead showed a bitter smile on her lips becoming a little more reproachful of herself. This sort of thing seemed to have been like a fantasy to an outsider, but he was already used to it.

No one would believe him when he told them about the bitter thing he was in, or if not they just told him that "if you didn't make a mistake, you didn't, why are they doing this to you?"

Over time, Shalunna chose to stop telling others about the things she experienced.

Kaif looked at the woman from the rearview mirror. The woman was indeed smiling, but her despair was in her smile that looked stifling.

His heart stopped for a moment.

"Next time, don't go back there alone" Kaif told Shalunna, Kaif threw away her face and now she's staring down the street in front of her.

For the first time, he felt that he had never really known Shalunna before. The woman was so preformed that she considered her a woman unworthy of attention.

Perhaps the woman's things were not as simple as she had imagined.

The car moves smoothly and the car heater runs well. Shalunna immediately felt a warmth return to her body.

Once he felt warm, he could only feel that he could barely open his eyes. Waves of sleepiness approached him.

He tried to stay awake, but he could not help but feel tired from the depths of his body and he fell asleep with his body tilted.

Kaif parked her car at the hospital.

He was not sure if Shalunna would catch a cold after seeing her soaked body, so he chose to take her straight to the hospital.

Shalunna did not realize that the car had stopped. He who was sleeping soundly felt nothing. Kaif looked at the sleeping woman. His slender body curled up in the back seat, tightly wrapped in the suit he had just given. To him Shalunna looked pitiful.

Every now and then, Kaif pityed him and did not wake him up. Instead, he gently stretched out his hand, lowered Shalunna from the car seat, and walked to the hospital.

Shalunna felt like she was in a long dream. For many years, he was used to having nightmares, but these dreams were not as full of lies, pain, and betrayal as they once were.

He dreamed that someone reached out and pulled himself out of the darkness. When he was about to see the man's face, he woke up.

“People in a dream... Is that Kaif.?” muttered

Struggling to get out of bed, Shalunna noticed that she had a needle drop and an infusion hose in her hand.

Shalunya wondered What had taken him directly to the hospital.?

He thought that he seemed to be asleep in the car. How can Kaif take her to bed.? Did he carry her like he did in Novalendra's villa.?

Shalunna's face flushed red at the thought of the man's wide chest and the faint scent of his cologne.

Then, he shook his head. How could he think of such a thing...

How could someone like Kaif fall in love with her.? He obviously hated it.

Just as he was thinking about it, the door opened and Kaif walked in. When the man saw that Shalunna was awake, his tightly knit brows slightly loosened,

“You're awake? How you feeling?" Kaif asked looking at the woman who was on top of the ward.

Not long after Kaif sent Shalunna to the hospital, it turned out that the woman had a fever. He had no other choice but to undergo an inpatient procedure as soon as possible and asked the doctor to give him an infusion to reduce inflammation.

“The patient's body is already very weak, and he's still flu now. Fortunately, you came early, if not ... Maybe something bad will happen" said the doctor who handles shalunna.

Thinking about what the doctor said and remembering Shalunna's light weight as a piece of paper, the man lowered his voice, kaif said, “You have a fever. The doctor said you were very sick. He asks you to stay in the hospital for a few more days and then you can be able to leave the hospital after you have completely recovered.”

"But my job ..."

When Shalunna heard that she was going to be hospitalized, she immediately thought of the task that Great Lord Pratama had given her.

He did not want to make her angry because of her illness.

"Will Pratama punish you and force you to work even when you are sick.?" ask Kaif.

Kaif glanced at him, and continued her remark, “You should rest here for the next few days so that you don't faint at the company. Or there will be rumors that Pratama Group is abusing its employees.”

Hearing Kaif's truthfulness, Shalunna nodded, saying, "Alright, I understand."

After a while, Kaif asked someone to send her dinner.

Shalunna watched as the man delivered a large pile of food that seemed completely incompatible with her. She could not help but look at Kaif, who was sitting beside her,

"This ... Is there someone else coming.?"ask Shalunna.

Kaif glanced at him, she replied, “Doctors say you are malnourished, so this is all yours. Eat more so people won't think I didn't give you food.”

Even though those words were not pleasant to hear, Shalunna still felt warm in her heart over it. He lowered his head and looked at the dinner which looked very rich and nutritious. His eyes felt a little sore and swollen, though,

"Thank you .." said Shalunna.

Shalunna's voice was very low, but it still sounded accurate by Kaif's sense of hearing. The man's lips curved slightly, and then, as if he realized something, he straightened his face and stood up, he said, “You stay here. I have something to do.”

Shalunna nodded and looked at Kaif, who suddenly appeared to be in a bad mood, without asking anything. He was used to the man's moodiness.

Now that he wanted himself to take care of his body, he had to eat well. Health is the foundation in doing everything else, and she can't be sick anymore.

Kaif walks out of the hospital and Bayu hands over the information requested by Kaif.

It was all about the information that was investigated about Shalunna in previous years. Kaif slowly opened it, flipping through the information document with her slender fingers and as she read it she frowned.
