Kaif saw a trace of determination in Shalunna's eyes, and she felt the unease become stronger.
But Shalunna did not stop and she instead left in a hurry.
Kaif gets into the workspace. Great Lord Pratama who saw Kaif's arrival, he pointed to the chessboard. "Come, let's continue playing."
Kaif frowned. He then asked out of curiosity, "Grandfather, what did he just say to you.?"
Great Lord Pratama looked at Kaif and shook his head. Pratama said, “He has asked to speak with me personally. If I tell you what he's saying, I'll be an unreliable Grandpa. So let's just keep playing."
Kaif saw that her Grandfather obviously did not want to tell her, and she was unable to ask any more questions, so she could only suppress her emotions and continue playing chess.
However, this time, he was far from as calm as before. In a short period of time, the advantage he gained in the early stages of the game of chess was lost. Quickly even Great Lord Pratama could catch his weakness and force him into a dead end.
“Kaif, life is like playing chess. Every step is important. So you have to be careful.”
The Great Lord Pratama won the game without a doubt. He speaks to Kaif in earnest when he sees that Kaif's mind is clearly not fixed on the game.
Kaif nodded and then she felt that this meant something else. However, Great Lord Pratama said that he was tired and wanted to get back to rest. Therefore, Kaif did not ask anything.

The next morning, Shalunna said she was not well, so she did not go to work.
Kaif looked at the empty passenger seat and somehow she was so upset.
“How long has he had gastroenteritis? Why is he not healed? Is the doctor he saw a shaman?” kaif thought in his mind.
Thinking about it, Kaif called the family doctor and asked him to come over tonight to check on Shalunna.
Likewise with the Great Lord Pratama who quickly asked someone to complete the divorce deed. He was worried that the long delay could cause new problems, so he handled it very efficiently.
However, Pratama certainly had no intention of giving her divorce papers. They were worried that he would make a fuss about it.
Shalunna certainly doesn't care about it. When he left, he only carried a small suitcase, which contained some of the clothes and shoes he had brought when he left the prison. He didn't take the rest of his stuff.
Great Lord Pratama wrote him a check. The number on it was very tempting, but Shalunna refused to accept it.
“I was lucky to get out of jail. I don't need the money. Grandpa Pratama, I just hope you will remember your promise to me.” Shalunna said calmly.
Hearing his words Great Lord Pratama nodded. Then he said "Don't worry. The matter was over, and no one would chase after him anymore. My words still count.”
Shalunna nodded and left.
Shalunna's eyes darkened thinking of the man. Presumably, they would not even have the chance to meet in the future.
These days she lives in Pratama as Kaif's wife and it's like a dream for her.
Now that he had woken up from his dream, it was time for him to start his new life.
***********
In the afternoon, Kaif returned to work.
At dinner, Shalunna still hasn't shown up. Kaif is unsuspecting. After all, she once said that her stomach was uncomfortable and she had not eaten with anyone else for a long time.
When Kaif returned to her room after dinner, she realized something was wrong.
Some of Shalunna's clothes that were originally hung in her closet are now gone, and the bed she used to sleep on the floor is also gone.
Everything seems to go back to the beginning when Shalunna was not around.
Kaif silently pensively seemed to think of something. He then stepped out and headed straight for Shalunna's room. He hurriedly opened the door. And the room was empty, there was no one in it. He didn't even know that someone had lived there after his room was cleaned.
Kaif suddenly understood what she meant by the woman's gaze yesterday. He was already determined to leave the Primary Residence yesterday.
Kaif went straight to her Grandfather's room without hesitation. The Great Lord Pratama was watering the flowers. When he saw Kaif, he shook his head.
"He's gone. This is your divorce letter with him. Don't worry, I'll keep it well. No one will know that you have such a relationship with him.”
Kaif stared at the maroon-colored certificate and opened it. It had her and Shalunna's names on it, but her words went from "agree to marry" to "agree to divorce".
"Why didn't you tell me?" kaif asked coldly for restraining his emotions.
The moment Kaif saw the certificate and felt the urge to tear it apart instantly.
Who gave Shalunna the right to divorce her unilaterally? Did his grandfather really want to get rid of him?
“I was the one who arranged your wedding, so it makes sense for me to end it now.” Pratama's grandfather said.
Great Lord Pratama stared at Kaif's grim face. In fact, he had long noticed the hidden flow of affection between Kaif and Shalunna, but his grandson had not shown it.
Pratama thought that Kaif would never have feelings for a female prisoner who had pushed her before, but the reality was not so. He sees a slight change in Kaif's attitude towards Shalunna, so he is really afraid that the woman he brings back will affect his heirs whom he has trained for many years.
Since then, Pratama thought about how to solve the problem perfectly.
And now, it's all over. Going back to the beginning would be the best option for everyone.
Kaif understood what her grandfather meant and she chose not to speak anymore.
“Now I leave it all to you, I can't take responsibility for many things. However, you can get back together with your ex-boyfriend, or any girl from a respectable family or a modest family. But you can't be with Shalunna.” said Grandpa Pratama looking at Kaif seriously.
“Women like her can't be your wife. He will be your vulnerability that others will attack.” After Grandpa Pratama finished speaking, Kaif simply fell silent.
He certainly understood that his grandfather was meddling in this matter for the sake of Pratama Group and Kaif himself, but this did not reduce his anger. Instead, he felt a little helpless.
“Don't see him again. I'm sure you'll soon forget this guy.” ask Grandpa pratama on Kaif.
Upon hearing his grandfather's remark Kaif backed out of the room silently.
Returning to her room, Kaif destroyed everything in front of her.
He was in no mood for anything but destruction. He wanted to destroy the woman who dared to go without saying goodbye in particular.
“Why can he leave so easily after fooling me.?” furious Kaif
He swept the books on the table down to the floor angrily. Suddenly, he saw a card with Shalunna's handwriting on it that read
*You gave me this card. I don't use it one bit. So now I'm giving it back to you.*
It was the unlimited credit card he had given out at first. Shalunna didn't even bring it with her. Kaif tore the card and threw it in the trash.
He pulled out his phone and called Rangga and Faris.
"Let's get out and let's get together. It's my treat.”
Hearing Kaif's invitation, they were shocked. Kaif rarely goes out to hang out with them. Even if they held a meeting and invited him, he would reject them nine out of ten times.
He did this once in a certain month.
Kaif is not a person who likes to get together. He thinks entertainment like this is boring and time-consuming. But now, he only wanted to drink and use alcohol to reduce his anxiety.
Otherwise, he would have to search everywhere to find the damn woman, and then make her life miserable.
