It's as easy as apologizing
"Why are you quiet, Mom? Is there something wrong with my question?" Mentari opened his mouth again when he saw Alex who was just speechless without saying a word. He still looks very surprised by Mentari's question earlier.
"Oh, forget my question." Mentari said as she walked past Alex.
"Where are you going?" Alex asked while blocking Mentari's arm.
"I'm gonna take a shower, I'm gonna go out tonight with my friend." Mentari answered while releasing her husband's hand.
"I just got home, and you want to go with your friend?" Alex choked his wife's arm back.
"Why indeed? Do you want to ban me?"
"So, you're my wife, obviously I'm going to forbid you from going with your friend. You must know and be aware of your position, Mentari. You are no longer a single woman who can go with anyone." Strictly Alex who has been controlled by the fire of his jealousy. Alex is very confident that Mentari will go with her boyfriend, and Alex will never let Mentari go with him.
Turning around, she looked at her husband with a gaze that Alex had seen for the first time. Even the look on Mentari's face had turned even colder than before. "You remember I'm your wife, huh? Then why would you betray me?" Mentari asked, again making Alex surprised.
"What do you mean, baby? I don't understand what you're saying." Alex kept trying to calm down.
"Stop pretending you don't understand, mas. I already know everything." The sun takes a deep breath, then throws it away slowly. She was tired of her husband's acting.
"What are you talking about Mentari, I don't understand at all." Cheating Alex increasingly makes Mentari sick. It seems like Mentari really has to dismantle the rottenness of her husband now.
Seeing Alex who was just speechless, made Mentari sound again with the same tone. "Why are you just silent? Are you surprised that I found out about your affair with Lisa? Or do you think I'm just talking?"
"Monitor, a, I can explain. I had absolutely nothing to do with Lisa, I know you said that because you wanted to cover up your mistakes instead of." Alex made Mentari laugh very loudly.
"You think I'm stupid huh! I know everything, Alex. You're having an affair with Lisa, you've even slept with her, and worse, you and Lisa are playing in this house. Do you think I've been quiet all this time because I didn't know your betrayal huh?"
"If you already know, why are you just silent? Why didn't you ask me? Why don't you stop my affair with Lisa?" Said Alex while gripping Mentari's arm firmly.
"You ask why? I am silent does not mean my heart is not sick, I am silent does not mean I accept the betrayal of my husband and my own best friend, I am silent does not mean I am stupid, but I kept quiet because I wanted to see to what extent you would lie to me, to what extent you would continue acting in love with me, to what extent you would pretend to be happy living with me."
"Did you remember your promise before you married me? And do you remember what I said before I accepted your proposal?" Mentari continued to look at Alex coldly and sharply, his plan to dismantle the affair of his husband and best friend in front of everyone was a failure because the anger that was in him overflowed unstoppable again.
"I'm sorry, Mentari. I'm really sorry." Regret Alex while kneeling before Mentari, hoping Mentari will forgive him. "I'm sorry for betraying you, I'm sorry for reneging on my promise to you, I'm really sorry Mentari. Please forgive me."Alex said in a regretful tone.
"So you're sorry to me, Alex? Is it with you apologizing and prostrating under my feet that my pain will just disappear? Remember what I said well, everything you did to me, I will definitely give it back to you." Mentari let go of Alex's hand violently, then after that he came out of his room leaving Alex who is now being covered with regret.
